Fantastic, detailed review Jem. Hats off for putting the extra effort into this. My favourite scene was also the final locket scene. Just brings the whole series together so beautifully.
PhantomStrider hey thanks for stopping by strider :D its always a joy to see you here! And glad you enjoyed this amazing movie too!
Hello
PhantomStrider glad to see you here Strider, glad to see both you and Jem enjoy this masterpiece
I like both you youtuber's
Wait, if straider watches him, does that mean he has seen his ed, edd, and eddy reviews?
Let’s think about this. Helga didn’t just save Arnold’s parents, she saved an ENTIRE CULTURE OF PEOPLE! God knows how many families she reunited
I wouldn't be surprised if the green-eyed people make new carving/displays of Helga like they did with Arnold
Wandering Huntress helga is without a doubt a hero
Wandering Huntress Extra Awesome Points!
*+Maame Ama* Nope, you are wrong, she isn't a hero...
...she's a heroine.
Wouldn’t happen without brainy
And that children is how you end a series.
Not to mention, how to give closure to what is essentially a cliffhanger. Lookin' at you, Duckman! (Yes, not a Nicktoon, I know, but my main point still stands!)
+joinmarch76 best villain
Samurai Jack was close, by it was a bit rushed.(Not saying that season five was bad, but I rather wait one more year than have a rushed ending.)
geardog24 unless it DIDNT end the series
The legend of korra should take notes.
Arnold's parents seem awfully non-chalant about having been in a coma for a decade and seeing their son is now a pre-teen, I kinda figured Arnold's reunion with his parents would have a lot of crying and hugging. On a side note, the way Helga's parents acted more concerned about Olga and forgot Helga's name officially put them in my top 10 worst parents in animation.
Kirstie Perkins especially since Miriam canonically cares for Helga more than Big Bob does. I couldn't stomach that part, either.
Yeah, I I think their reunion would be hysterical, since they missed their sons childhood and he saved them closer to their old age
It’s true Arnold’s parents didn’t seem that excited about their reunion but if the story was accurate the parents would had been died or brain dead for being in a coma for 9 years. Also the lack of movement for so long they wouldn’t even have the strength to even move. Them looking drowsy and weak and non-chalant is probably not so bad.
@@CrimsonEclipse Especially when they're so excited about being back and having their son that they insist on not losing a minute more with him than possible, including walking him right to the school doors (don't forget he's starting sixth grade and he's been walking with Gerald for most of his school life). So the major emotional impact hit them later. At first it was just the sheer joy. I'm surprised they knew that enough time had passed that the tiny kid they left with Miles' parents was the same kid watching them waking up.
A lot of people say the Turners are still worse. The Turners are bad, but it always looked more stupid and funny rather than sad. I would definitely put the Patakis at no. 2 behind the Griffins in worst cartoon parents.
Should say Brainy is the true hero of the series after all if he didn’t go after the locket helga wouldn’t have been able to give it to Arnold to use to unlock the thing and save everyone
Helga not only saving Arnold’s parents, but an entire civilization from catastrophe and preventing children turning into orphans is something Olga could never top.
I hope she realizes and savors such a victory, because lord knows I do! 😁👍🏻
About Brainy retrieving Helga's locket. From all his stalking, Brainy must've known how much Helga loves Arnold. Brainy could've acted like a jealous simp, but instead, he kept Helga's secret safe and jumped in a river to retrieve her Arnold locker. In other words, he always did what was best for Helga. Brainy has more character depth than we give him credit for.
Anyone noticed how Suzie wasn't in the movie? She probably got fed up with Oscar and left his ass.
Karlos1234ify that one inventor boarder wasn’t in the movie either
beef_it_up_55 Mr. Smith?
Karlos1234ify
She did indeed leave Oscar but still could of at least been at Arnold's reunion.
also no principal wartz and he was in the original draft of the film
Dan C mybe actor is dead
I bought a little plush Arnold and Helga at Work and I watched the movie with them. I'd been waiting for this for like 15 years!!!
Lucas Dancify And proud of it! XD
About time this series got its true closure
CartmanFrost11 did you know this movie is coming out on DVD in Feb
MrMovieLover whaaaattt?! YAAASSS!!!
CartmanFrost11 at least that's what Amazon says
my only complain, if ypou can call i that, is the lack of grandma scenes. While i apreciate curly being crazy, gandma always took it to another level. Once she even scaped from jail THROUGH a toilet.
fgfg i have to agree, though i must admit, any hey Arnold episode can need more grandpa, it's damn near impossible to have too much of him
Grandma Pookie is practically fearless because she was once a cop. Who knows how many injuries and scary things she had to deal with?
Gertie is a treasure
Man The Jungle Movie truly felt like The Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show of Hey Arnold in which they both had movies that ended their shows spectacularly. Speaking of which has anyone ever noticed the parallels between the two shows?
Carl Bloke what kind of parallels
@@antoineatterbury4487 To be continued, Next time...on Ed, Edd, & Eddy Z~
@@Shalltear-Bloodfallen what
You mean like friends having to overcome their own insecurity to make up for a mistake that they made?
Wakko's wish
Helga gave Arnold her heart, in all the ways it count
I’m really liking this trend of cartoon shows getting endings that were left unanswered. Can’t wait to see what other shows get wrapped up in the future.
Stephen Brown reboot the series is long over due
Stephen Brown I hope they do it for 100 Deeds For Eddie McDowd
Stephen Brown I heard Nickelodeon is finally gonna give Invader Zim and Rocko's Modern Life the endings they deserve. Yay!
Maybe we can get invader zim now
Hopefully Kids Next Door
What if the episodes we’ve been watching all these years were Helga’s tapes?
That’s a cool theory but what about the episodes about characters other than Arnold and her self
Oh god that would be so perfect. she is the champion of the show after all. she saved them.
100 episodes on tapes
Seriously, that tying in the locket was incredibly genius. When I was a kid I used to think all lockets for that freaking big. Who have a locket that huge!? But the way the Incorporated something that has been around the entire series that she loves so much and make it away not only to save everyone but to tell Arnold how much she loves him is incredible. I cried and squeed
I’m gonna be honest this is probably the longest checkoffs gun in history
There's one word to describe hey Arnold the jungle movie, masterpiece!
you know what I wish happen This.
after the bad guy is defeated and Arnold wakes his parents and that whole tribe up and after they have that party and after He and Helga make out then later they join up with there Friends like Side Eugene Harald Stinky and Pheobe and Rhonda and Arnold grandparents and Helga parents and big sister and when Eduardo boat shows up and they all baord to go home everyone is surprised to meet Arnold parents they ask him how he found them and after explains that they ask what happen to Lasambra or as they would say that Lasambra jerk and Arnold tells them he dead and how and when Arnold parents hear that they say Oh Arnold Are You Okay as they hug him then they look up at Eduardo and says This is Your Fault You Drag Us Here And Look What Happen Got Caught in the Sleeping Drought Arnold And His Friends Got Captured And They Could Have Been Killed And Worse We Miss Out On Alot Of Our Son Life After Seeing How Old He Is Now You Should Have Walk Away And Left Us In That Park We Told You We Had A Child That Day And Instead Of Understand You Beg us Even More Making Us Leave Him If You Were Our Friend You Would Have Understood And Walk Away Stay Away From Us and they throw him off the bout because the next scene they show Eduardo bout and him flying off the boat into the jungle.
then a few minuts later up stream later when the kids apologize to Arnold and when Mr Simmons apologize to Arnold for comparing him to Benadict Arnold Arnold parents say or yell you Said What and tehn you see Mr Simmons getting thrown off the boat.
and when Helga parents are alone somewhere on the boat say they are surprised Arnold has parents Helga dad says he thought Arnold was orphan and Helga mention to her father how he called him a orphan Arnolds parents over hear and they throw Helga dad off the boat to.
and the three men have to walk home.
Christopher MacCool what the heck did I just read
Lets not forget about its alternate ending : ruclips.net/video/3RnUze_ENhE/видео.html
agreed
It's just like a Disney feature film
I honestly don’t care about getting a new season. The movie wrapped it up so perfectly I feel like a new season would almost feel unnecessary.
Plus, Craig Bartlett is busy with his second PBS Kids show, Ready Jet Go, so he would have trouble juggling that and Hey Arnold season 6.
GunsNStuff100 I agree
I hope there isn't a new season.
It did ended satisfyingly!
Lets not forget about its alternate ending : ruclips.net/video/3RnUze_ENhE/видео.html
@@goofybutserious4807 just like Toy Story anything can only be revived a decade or so later if it's for a useful purpose. no more cashcow franchises of any sort!!!!!!
The movie was great, but the best thing the series has ever done? No way! I don't mean that as an insult to the movie, because it was about giving us closure with all the characters we love so much. But the series that went before is what made us love those characters so much in the first place. I mean, the reason seeing Arnold finally return Helga's feelings was such a big pay off is that we watched her go through that unrequited longing for years, we saw how much she really did care about him... And when they got along, we really did get a sense that they belonged together. I did, anyway. It was so well written and animated and voice acted that that connection felt very real to me. So yeah, despite the obvious implication that they were meant for each other, it always kinda bugged me that I never got to see Arnold and Helga get together. And for it to finally happen, after all this time? What an amazing feeling! The point is, if I'd come into the movie without having seen the series, I wouldn't have been nearly as invested. I think the best episodes are the ones that focus on the character development and relationships (they're so subtle and complex!). Plus, I just prefer the down-to-earth tone the series proper has.
@Paola Arvizu nowadays I sense all good franchises must have a end
The creators did a good thing with this movie. A good job indeed
To bad the first movie couldn’t be like this.
Sometimes I wish arnold saves the neighborhood didn't exist to begin with just to save time!!!!!!!!
Arnold voice sounds like his balls went back up lol more to me. His voice was deeper during the show. I love this movie!
Well they had to get a new voice actor and the choice was a good one
Right? Not even Lane Toran's (the original Arnold) voice was all that high pitched in the beginning. Lol
I had the same thought!
@@BlueBlazeKing Its Phillip Van Dyke, the Main Arnold from 1997-2000.
Imagine the rage if they ended the movie with Arnold waking up from a dream
Lol that would make every single person in the world sooo mad
Why didn't the series finale be released in the 2000s to save time!?
@@gablit-gt8kk
Because Nickelodeon is a mess
Even in today’s times and the animation industry being mistreat like hell.
I love Helga's character so much, at the end of the movie she still being Helga G. Pataki, act normally after whats happen in the jungle and still doesnt give a shit to arnold
It’s just to keep up appearances
They might bring the series back for a sixth season, but even if they didn't, at least it had a true ending. Great review, and great movie. Next up, Rocko's Modern Life.
I actually wouldn’t mind a season 6. Sure this movie tied up some loose ends from The Journal, but think about this; Arnold’s parents are back in the picture, so it would be pretty cool to see how they interact with their son when they’ve missed most of his growing up. Arnold and Helga are now canon, I wanna see more of what they’ll do with their relationship. Will she open up more to him? These are all pretty cool ideas that fans are asking themselves.
And then Invader Zim!
@@MAnuscript421 but nowadays I prefer all good franchises to end
I still prefer if the series finale was released in the 2000s to save time
hey never did lmao
Can I just say I love Helga's voice in the movie?
MissConstruct It’s one of the kid characters who didn’t get a voice actor change. The other one is Harold
Animation Nation yeah her voice just got a bit deeper and that’s it!
Animation Nation phoebe and rhonda’s voice actresses didnt change either!!
If you look at Arnold's parents they're actually holding a green eyes artifact as well between their hands, that might be helping them stay alive. As for the sleeping sickness itself, it's possible that Arnold's parents managed to make it so only the children would be completely free of it but the adults unfortunately were not but they still do not die because they had a lesser version of it
that would make sense, like the immunity went to the children, and so this new variant only affected the adult🤔
But why didn't they cancel arnold saves the neighborhood not to waste time
@@gablit-gt8kk eh........Nickelodeon is about making money first and making audiences happy second. But I don't know this would have been a hell time better than Arnold saves the neighborhood anyway
But nickelodeon keeps letting us down first off with spongeboy then fairly oddparents until fairly oddparents got cancelled months before the jungle movie and the only good cartoon in 2010 was T.U.F.F. puppy
I didn't want to waste time if only knew shows were in need of a series finale
your right the gang blaming arnold wasn't necessary its a contradiction but the helga monologue mde up for it
Nicholas Bloom Right! It's like, how can you get mad at someone for being manipulated?
Ikr?
I was thinking, it’s not his fault. And they’ve been knowing him for a long time. They should know that he would never do anything bad.
Jennifer Poole what really got me was that even mr Simmons was giving him the third degree with the others you could use the fear for life/stess excuse but for him that is WAY out of character
Ahhhhhhh I was screaming when Arnold and Helga kissed
Bianca Perez i think we all were. Lol
I got up and yelled "Fucked yes!" While rasing my fists in the air.
Bianca Perez so was I
I "squeeed" like Jem at the beginning 🖤
Oh please,
we've seen them kissed 3 times already ( though Jem was right, Arnold wasn't the initiator for any of them)
I was waiting for Gerald and Phoebe's moment
And if a 6th season does happen, PLEASE let there be Harold and Patti . . .

As much as I loved the movie I feel like this should be the series finale. Arnold finally finds his parents that's a great ending to the series
Well, this movie does have a bit of open endedness so that the show could be revived, yet also wraps up the biggest plot points to give the show a sense of closure. Besides, Craig Bartlett said the show COULD get a season 6, NOT WOULD, especially considering he's busy with his second PBS Kids show, Ready Jet Go.
Yes
1. Helga and Arnold got together and kisses
2. Arnold reunited with his parents
3. Arnold has a good future, and everything is okay
@@reesebynumgames5964 sorry for being late to the party but apparently there was gonna be a spin-off about helga where arnold moved away, writing him out of the series.
The jungle movie should've aired during the 2000s just to save time
"The animation difference would be distracting" *okay but have you seen the Jimmy/Timmy Power Hour?*
@Logia SD exactly. When they went to each other's worlds, they were the same animation style the whole time. (Except the ending to the first one) that's why that one is fine.
You know I have never seen an episode of Hey Arnold and I still get the importance of this movie. I wish the best for the future of Hey Arnold!
Mist X i'm glad you can see that. :-)
WATCH IT! it's a good movie!
15:35 on top of that, Arnold tried to tell Helga his fears about putting everyone in danger (even though he didn't tell Gerald), but she cut him off trying to tell him about her feelings!
yup but i think i get now why craig wrote helga like that craig writes her better then anyone on the team i watched the prison scene again and asked myself why write her like this craig then it hit me its cuz she was being selfish its part of her character
@@Ncholasbloom Yeah, I agree. Helga practically had to raise herself, so she was bound to be a little selfish, looking out for herself first. It's a miracle she ever sacrificed anything in various episodes. She's given up wins twice, once for Arnold and once for Phoebe (despite persuading Phoebe to lose on purpose to give her the win earlier, she gave Phoebe her right to the winner's place back at the end - although to be fair, she'd been selfish all along until then), and she gave up the Christmas present she really wanted because she knew it was the one thing Arnold needed to get Mr Hyunh reunited with his daughter, even though she never took the credit.
@@strawberrysoulforever8336 yes and she understood her mistake like i said craig writes her better then anyone

Though she’s more of a tsundere.
Is this movie that good, YESSSSSSS.
And it's not even a reboot
It would've been better if the series finale was released sometime after the 100th episode rather than be cancelled
I wonder if the way culture has shifted effected the way Helga's family are written in the movie? In the show, they would generally try to spin some of the stuff they did to show they had a redeeming side since it would be controversial to just portray them as a crappy family. By the time the film was being written, the idea of toxic family was more widely accepted so they chose to stop sugar coating things. Maybe having Helga's family suck as people was a creative move to match the times.
Helga not being able to say the word "feelings" to Arnold got a laugh out of me.
Hey Jem, you are one bold critic. Also SHORTMAN IS CANON YEAH
I always saw the part where everyone's mad at Arnold at La Sombra's is that mostly being stressed about the life-or-death situation they just got put into and they're taking it out on him. That's why after they're in their cage they kind of stopped being mad at him because they kind of realize they were being jerks. That's the only way any of that little bit makes any sense at all.
Amen to that. Go through all this to be vulnerable and hit them with mind shattering info that breaks their faith only for a moment.
I thought the only thing they really missed out doing, was at the end, Arnold and his parents watching the movie his friends made. And the last line could have been mom or dad asking "Who got all this footage?"
I'd hope that Nickelodeon will bring back Hey Arnold for Season 6
PinkiePool GamerBrony9 I don't think it needs a 6th season, because I think this movie was a great send-off to a great series.
And if we do get it, I hope it isn’t dumpster fire
I'd take a season 6 but I don't think it's necessary. I'd much rather see "The Patakis" get made.
I doubt that
Harmony242 same
The reunion with Arnold and his parents made me bawl my eyes out.
It was the "Hey Arnold" for me
16:35 Rhonda: You Monster
Perfect in every way, Hey Arnold has forever impacted a generation.
Actually, Arnold’s last name: Shortman, was a fan conspiracy and was confirmed after this film was premiered
I would rather have the Pataki's but a sixth season is good too😊
I LOVED the reveal of Arnold's last name. I actually paused the movie ROFL for 5 min, it was so perfect. XD Overall, this movie felt like it was made for the fans, that brought closure at long long last. Sad about hear the spin off show plans, The Patakis "Hey Helga" didn't work out at that time. Things have changed so much, it would feel different done today then back then if pulled off. Overall, what I love about this show is handling life's disappointments when growing up. Things are not ideal, grown ups don't really grow up, and having a show with Helga dealing with changes and growing up, would have been a great show to cover things "kids shows" don't really handle very much, like how Hey Arnold had. Anyways, thanks for letting me geek out here as a fan. >v
Pretty sweet review. I agree with you 100%. This movie was a win win. Either we get a season 6 or we get closure. For me, I kind of teared up watching this movie. I used to watch Hey Arnold with my father. The tv watching may seem monotonous to some but it was one of the only way him and I bonded. We loved this show. He passed in 2013. He would've loved this movie. This movie was closure of another part of my past.
Once again, great review for a great movie. The kid in me cried with joy when this movie came out.
P.S I bought the Hey Arnold movie on DVD from Walmart and the jungle movie was put in there by mistake causing this closure. It feels... Blissful.
A perfect end to a perfect series. Now all that's left is Invader Zim. Also, Sid yelling "My Beetle Boots" makes me laugh every time.
i havent seen Hey Arnold in years, that being said i caught every reference that movie made, brought tears to my eyes.
this was an amazing movie
Yeah, Ocsar and Mr. Hyunn are voiced by a new actor (Wally Wingert) since Mr. Hyunn's actor retired pretty much right as Hey Arnold Originally ended and Oscar's actor died 3 years ago.
+AussieDragoon Yeah, Steve Viksten died back in 2014 which was sad as i had always thought even as a child that the exaggerated voice he used for Oskar was very funny.
Being voiced by Renji & Brago, not bad
Wow I never knew thanks for posting this.
Pigeon Man, too. His original actor died as well (replaced with Stephen Stanton). I think every other adult that speaks is the same actor from the show but I could be mistaken
To be fair, it is unfair that Arnold did put them in danger knowingly since he went against his promise to Grandpa like you said. He knew what he was doing and the possible danger.
I love your review. This movie was super amazing and it did get the ending it deserved. I love it so much. I'm glad you feel the same way and I love the kiss Arnold and Helga shared. I ship it so much. This movie was amazing, I agree!
Not gonna lie, Helga's scream after Arnold's escape from her feelings to him scared the shit out of me and hurt my ears. Love the movie tho
i think what was interesting was that Helga's voice actress was the only kid actor on the show to reprise their role as an adult. i didn't even notice Helga's voice was a grown woman's, let alone the same person's
actually, it's not just her. Phoebe, Rhonda, and Harold still have their original voice actors too.
The jungle movie was really interesting, but a little underwhelming. Only cause The journal episode 1&2 was perfectly set up.how arnold's parents meet, arnold's birth, and eveyrthing else. I would've been satisfied with that. Overall this film was nicely done. If they were to renew the show I prefer a spinoff. The gang in high school
I watched this movie the day after it came out, and it was definitely one of the best TV movies of all time. Can't wait for the Rocko's Modern Life movie. Nick is gradually improving.
PS, after the review of the Christmas specials, you should do a review of the TV show Dan Vs. sometime in the future.
Ryan Williams why do you disagree?
What about the rugrats revival, Kamp koral and the Patrick spinoff?
Me: You'll never guess what show I started watching!
My friend: Hey Arnold?
Me: 16:37
Helga didn't even apologize to Arnold for all the years of bullying and still kept the boy in the end, that's not logical
I loved the series as a kid and I loved the movie.
I was a child that watched every episode of Hey, Arnold. I didn't know I needed this movie. It was beautifully done.
Been waiting for this review!
I absolutely loved the movie!!! Though I read too many Hey Arnold fanfictions that I imagined La Sombra completely differently lol. I did really enjoy him as the villain as well
When they revealed the Green Eyes secret city I adored the animation. It had so much detail that I rewound a few times just to fully appreciate it.
As a shipper I was overjoyed to see my 2 OTPs finally become cannon! (I fangirled so much that I knew I looked crazy lol)
We the parents all woke up I was practically sobbing. And even more so when Miles and Stella woke up!
This movie is a perfect gift for all the fans that grew up with the show!!
Crazy Fangirl Productions i'd like to see how you'd when and if they announce the patakis
But it would've been better if the series finale was released in the 2000s
Helga's crush on Arnold is as creepy as SpongeBob's obsession with Squidward in Squid's Visit.
This whole movie was "Miraculous"!
Boom Prower Production oh I see what you did there
Lol
Oscar was voiced by a different actor because the original actor passed away a couple years ago.
Good review, but I'm gonna go a step further and give the film even more credit in the face of the nitpick concerning all the kids turning on Arnold despite them praising him earlier. Given that they all believed in Arnold's goodness they justifiably felt betrayed by him putting their lives at risk for his own gain, even if he had good intentions. And this may be going out on a limb, but I think they forgave him because he had inspired them all to be better more empathetic people (and were probably desperate to escape so...).
29:00 - Is this movie THAT good? YES!
I loved this movie, better than the first movie!
I like both movies
I don't care what the TV ratings say. This was not only a great movie. But also an excellent way to end Hey, Arnold.
I wish other shows could end off in the same way
I went into tears on the part when the Green Eye children and Arnold's parents waking up. It was so heartwarming and tear jerking to me. :')
Maybe Miles and Stella got gray hair because it's a rare side effect of the sleeping sickness because they seemed to have been only in their late 20s or early 30s when Arnold was born.
I'm probably going to get some hate for asking this but am I the only person who even before this movie aired actually enjoyed the relationship between Gerald and Phoebe more than Arnold and Helga? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the relationship and the development between Arnold and Helga, but I feel that the whole her publicly hating him but secretly loving him made their relationship not really develop as much as I would have liked until the movies (asides from a few episodes throughout the series). Meanwhile, Gerald and Phoebe, while they didn't get much attention/development, over the course of the series spent more time together and their romance felt very well done and I was happy to see them end up together in a way that didn't feel forced. Plus, as someone who is the son of a Hispanic-American father and a Caucasian-American mother, I (both as a kid in the 90s and still to this day) love seeing multiracial couples/families in kids shows.
I found Helga's love for Arnold like some sort of kids version of Shakespearean tragedy. And the implications were disturbing. I mean what if she turns out to be abusive in adult life in her relationships because of all she's been through? Like her attempts at affection are already shown to be warped because her parents gave her such an unhealthy example. Yikes! So in that sense, I don't know if the intention is for you to enjoy their couple-ness as much as kind of question it.
In saying that though, Gerald and Phoebe are a nice couple and I was genuinely happy to see them end up together.
honestly that’s true
just think about Arnold's resume in the future:
his grandad bested adolf hitler in hand to hand combat
his parents were treasure hunters
he was the manager for a semi country star
he reunited a family separated by the Vietnam war
he managed to discover and end a conspiracy to destroy his neighborhood
he's the grandson of a boarding house owner/WWII veteran
he was born in a Aztec style temple during a volcanic eruption literally silencing all nature in the area
he is essentially a messiah of a lost tribe in south America
he not only managed to cure a mystical sickness of that tribe he managed to stop and kill international pirate La Sombra
why the fuck are we even bothering with this just give the damn kid a parade already
Arnold finally makes her girl-hood tremble.
when you find out Arnold's last name is Shortman...........
I WANNA SCREAM
It was a great movie. My husband and I had been weighting for it all year. We literally were sitting on the couch crying when Arnold reunited with his parents. We were watching it with his parents and his younger siblings. The younger kids could not understand why we were crying. It was great
Speaking of crossovers, La Sombra has the same shirt as Cotton Hill hahaha
"You've gone Benedict, Arnold!"
Caught me off guard.
Does anyone else realize that brainy actually saved the green eyes, if he hadn't gone after the locket like he did, Arnold's parents and the others would have been collossaly boned.
Brainy certainly had a part to play, but people don't like him unfortunately
@@jaxthewolf4572 I love brainy... Have since I was a kid...
That was one of the best movies of 2017. Oh, in other words. I have something to say Jem, please do a review of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and Sponge Out of Water! That would be something I want to see next.
I love this movie....Rocko's Modern Life on Netflix was a HUGE letdown...Thank Goodness for Hey Arnold!
I think the sleeping sickness did affect children and that's why Miles & Stella ran out of the cure In the first place, they used it on the kids first & there wasn't anymore for everyone else.
mezipe64 that makes a lot of sense actually
I can buy that, but I wish it had been explained how/why Arnold's parents were able to stay alive despite contracting the sickness. (After all, the reason Eduardo begged for their help is because people were dying from the sickness.)
Ellande Campbell yeah me too, that actually seemed like a very out of place overlook for a show like this
Nathan Dixon: It would've helped if there weren't 40 minutes of commercials. (No wonder Craig Bartlett initially wanted this to be a theatrical release.)
Ellande Campbell I think that they didn't realize people weren't dying until sometime before the events of the Hey Arnold Jungle Movie. Plus the better question is why Edwardo didn't go to Grandpas House and explain the situation to him
23:51 = Best RUclips I've seen in a long long *long* time!
I'm pretty sure the original voice actor for Oscar died so there is a new one in this movie.
Big Bob's barely making ends meet with the failing Beeper business, so maybe Helga can't afford a cellphone.
Hopefully hey Arnold gets a new season
Elliot Bal I doubt it. This movie is meant to be a finale right?
Craig Bartlette said if the movie does well, that Nickelodeon may consider producing a new season. I have mixed feelings about a new season of Hey Arnold.
BLACK HOLE nick better not get a say in the shows writing if it does happen
Gracekim1 but I'm not a 90s kid and I need to watch Hey Arnold!, because I've only watched it a few times! I hope it does get a Revival or a reboot
The actor who played Oskar did pass away, so did the person who played Pigeon man.
I think Arnolds friends were just angry and stressed out, imagine being stuck in a rainforest walking for so long and in that situation also losing things on the way and then just take it out on arnold,
*sees the crossover joke with American Dad and The Loud House* Well, time to watch the fan fictions role in, should I get the noose knot before it starts?
As for myself, I'm just happy Arnold came back, and better than the 'movie' we got so long ago. Seems Nick CAN do the right thing given enough time. I myself would love to see a return of the show, as Hey Arnold was one of my favorite down-to-earth series growing up.
17:11 I can't even with that moment even to this day XD
the only thing the keeps swirling in my mind with Helga is "is Helga a tsundere"?? right when i saw that secret video cave of hers. I laughed but then creeped out. she stalked him in every episode. no way. O_O
PrincessRiko when did she find the time and money for that
PrincessRiko
That’s not what a Tsundere does. You got it confused with a yandere.
I feel like she’s both, though.
A Tsundere is someone who is mean to their crushes, yet have a soft, sweet spot and shows it to their crushes.
Yanderes are obsessed and stalk their crushes. Most kill or injure those who get close to their crushes. Like Yuno Gasai and Yuki from Future Diary. Yuno’s the yandere. (The queen of yanderes, of course.)
I think the main reason Helga's mom forgot her name was because she was HEAVILY hinted to being an alcoholic in the OG series
The intro is so bad and I fucking love it, also keep up the great vids bro.
Shaunnn it gives me a 2009 feel... So i like it
Mr. Simmons: You've gone Bennedict, Arnold!
Heh. Benedict Arnold. Nice one. Lol.
WHERE IS OSKAR’S WIFE! am I the only person who is bothered by this ☹️
baylee blue i'm also bothered by shena being left out as well
Rictor Phoenix oh yeah where she at?
Susie finally dumped Oscar. :)
RictorPHX ikr
It’s actually canon that she dumped Oskar
Actually that whole Eduardo twist got me. It totally caught me off guard and I love it
The only part of the movie I was incredibly iffy about was the scene where Lasombra got a poison dart shot in his neck and he falls right off the cliff and honestly you could have just had Lasombra's use as a character end right there but since the movie needed to pad a meaninglessly small amount of extra run time despite having a poison dart shot directly into his neck Lasombra climbs up a rope, brawls with Arnolds friends a bit, threatens to throw Arnold over the cliff only to end up falling off the cliff...again
Why the fuck did you animate the same death scene twice? Like obviously this cliff can't be that deep if despite visibly falling straight to the bottom with poison running thru his blood stream Lasombra easily climbs back up only to fall back down.
It seemed so weird like someone in the writing room was told to extend the death scene because the villain died too early
Hey Arnold will never be forgotten
