    As my wife and I approach 1000 miles on our Xp 2.0 in about a years time, We are so amazed by these E-bikes. Both are still going strong and not one problem with them. When we clean our bikes, we do the same thing as in the video. Preventative maintenance is key to keeping these in tip top shape. Thanks Lectric for building such an amazing bike ! Keep up the work and we can't wait to see what's in store for the future of your company. LECTRIC FOR LIFE !!!!!

    1000+ miles XP 2 in six months. Original brakes and tires. In addition, If you want more life from your bike......On the painted surfaces no rinse no spraying car wash maybe used as it contains some repellent wax for potection. Additional ceramic wax protects and repels more. Use chain cleaning device sold at bike shops, much better. Also cog wheel and derallier brush. Clean electrical contacts gently and protect. EBay had listing for custom made handlebar and rear frame protectors for upside down position.

    Yawn, I do the exact same treatment to my "electric" ATV's and "electric" monster truck's (they have batteries too but cost 10's of thousands more) so my one day's mudding adventure turns into days of cleaning or I could just take them by the car wash to be done in less time to watch this video but alas, I just hose down my lectric bike with my pressure washer then blow dry it with my air compressor or leaf blower, no chemicals needed (soap or alcohol).

    • @LectriceBikes
      @LectriceBikes  2 года назад +2

      Hey there! We certainly don't recommend hosing down your eBike as this essentially could ruin your electronically components such as lcd display, controller, motor, etc. Have a stellar day! ⚡️

    • @WeMissYouSnail
      @WeMissYouSnail 2 года назад +1

      @@LectriceBikes Yea but you’re basically just doing a quick once over in this video. There is no possible way you’re cleaning all the dirt and grime out of the nooks and crannies with a rag…. The drive train especially. I don’t see any other way to get a deep clean without using at least a light jet of water. Away from the electric components of course

    • @LectriceBikes
      @LectriceBikes  2 года назад +2

      Our eBikes are rated IP-65 to withstand light rain and small puddles. By classification, this means that it can "resist a sustained, low-pressure water jet spray." You can certainly clean your components but be mindful of the electrical components, sealed ports and plugs, and remove the battery as an extra precaution.

    • @WeMissYouSnail
      @WeMissYouSnail 2 года назад +1

      @@LectriceBikes Sounds good thanks. Would you say the motor is sealed up pretty tight? Enough for me to rinse the cassette and derailleur without spraying the hose towards the motor or connections?

    • @LectriceBikes
      @LectriceBikes  2 года назад +2

      That motor is sealed pretty tight! You can squeeze along the motor cable that protrudes from the rear axle to check for any breaks/cracks as an extra precaution, but yes, you should be good!

  • @gonzo2.0
    @gonzo2.0 Год назад +1

    A light electric pressure wash and a leaf blower and your bike, wheels,and tires are much cleaner than this and you are done in 1/4 time. Watch a few e mountain bike wash videos and just be careful around the motor and cables
