The subtitles are very good, from my perspective as a German.
And the US has to import millions of barrel of oil, because you use so much. The most favored car is a pick up, were the care industry has not to care about ecological standards or safety, as it is not a passenger car but a commercial vehicle.

One point on German satire is, that the actor especially at "Die Anstalt" research all points vey well and "Die Anstalt" also offers the sources they used.
Weapons of Mass Destruction are atomic bombs, chemical (e.g. mustardgas) or biological weapons (e.g. anthrax). With "one shot" you cause much more destruction or harm, than just with a "normal bomb" or shell.
We know exactly what happened. And they did a great job of presenting it and sticking to the truth. You can easily look this up. Im just tired of Americans whitewashing themselsevs. "we dont know what realy happened", "no one knows" and the best at the end of Strawman arguments: "its not us its our gouverment"

The historical facts are true. Die Anstallt have to make real good research because of the lawyers ;). It is sad that the most people in the US know less about their history as the rest of the world. They are only astonished about all the hate in the world against the US. Thanks for the reaction and greetings from good old Germany.
The US oil production has peaked already in the early 1970s. Since then, the production has been decreasing but the industry heavily relies on (cheap) oil. And loads of it: the US are by far the biggest consumer of oil but only 8th in the amount of reserves that could be exploited economically viable (including non-conventional reserves). If the US had to live without imports, their own reserves would be drained in less than 10 years by their on economy.
That’s why they are involved in the Middle East so much.
Actually we do know what happened. It's just not widely publicised. Die Anstalt researches their topics quite thoroughly and offers their sources, so that the audience can fact check themselves.
As for the U.S.'s need for foreign oil. The average U.S. household uses 2-2.5 times as much energy as the average european household.

It' always helpful to read newspapers from other countries, if you can understand foreign languages. Every state has its own propaganda and the media have no objective perspective. I sometimes check American, British and French news if something in the news sounds weird to me. This video is well known here in Germany and some teachers show it in school.
There is also foreign news in English, for good reason.
Oil is limited, which is why some countries are interested in sourcing oil from other nations before tapping into their own reserves.
Sorry, but this is not a point of view. this is common knowledge after the openening of the cia files. and to be true...most of us knew this before the files were made publicly available, because it is a reaccuring pattern in american foreign politics.
The running gag in that episode was, that ist was all theory until the CIA released secret documents wich confirmed everything. So I guess you can not really say that this is just a german point of view, because there are actually hard facts.
I would not believe anything the federal government release. They released UFO documents and we still waiting for confirmation wether or not those documents were truthful or not. CIA is the master of psyops

These shows are heavyly researched. "Die Anstalt" is a really good show, also very critical of Germany and its system.
because the oil in middle east is much more easy to harvest. So its cheaper.

But Hitler would have had no chance of obtaining any important office in the Empire and would have continued to paint postcards. The problem with such interventions is that there is no understanding of what might then replace what one forcibly removes.
Some know what`s going on. But not many people listen to them. They only listen to the false prophets.

It's probably more about controlling the production quantity in order to have control over the prices.

Edit: The US lied about the existence of WMDs, not about its definition.
Or simplified: Chemical (Mustardgas - used in WW1, Zyclon B (used in concentration camps), Agend Orange (Vietnam) ), Biological (Anthrax,... but also bugs or other insects dropped in mass over farmland to destroy the crop) and nuclear weapons.
Yes, even for upholding their own lies, the US Gouverment is sometimes to stupid. I don't like him, but Putin once said something true: "If i was the US, i would've found something." Which basicly means, that his Intelligence Service would've placed some of those WMD there, so that the public believes the lies.

On the topic Oil is not Oil crude Oil comes in different veraities Lighter oils and more heavy oils depending on soulver an other compound influenced. The US have Hügel refining capability Set up for more heavy oils. But producing in country more lichter oils. This is why US was the biggest Importeur for Russian crude Oil bevor the Ukrainian war. Refineries have to be remodelt to processed lighter US crude Oil. This is why imports happen even when it don't seems to make sense when looking at the Total amount. Not to mentioned that Gas as you call it in US is probably 3-4times cheaper than in other parts of the World. One could argue that Gas is partialy supsedised through taxpayer by paying a huge bill for the security aparatus to secure unimpeedet flow of Oil from, put it this way not the most friendly parts of the World. Also the supsedised price does not Set the nessesary incentives for climate Change.
