I just heard her in concert three days ago; there are not enough words to describe the wonder of it! She is beautiful in person as well as personality and of course in her music. Her speech and thoughts are so kind toward her audience and toward her work. I only learned about her within the past year but will now follow her onward. What a gift to us all!
My favorite classical guitarist.
Fast becoming mine too.
From my country
@@Isus273 She's a national treasure, indeed an international one,☺️. Love her playing, quite stunning.
She's THE classical guitarist.
The. Best
Crème de la crème!
We have come so far since the days of Segovia to the point where we now have outstanding women performers in a world that had been dominated by men since pretty much when the master himself introduced this style of instrument to the world masses.
And here we have Ana, a child prodigy of the classical guitar, now a women leading a young generation of not just women but young classical guitarist. She has excellent technique and gives beautiful interpretations. Best of all, she comes across so humble and articulate, a great ambassador for the classical guitar. Segovia would be proud!
My daughter is such a huge fan. Wonderful to see her in this interview.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great comment. When I was younger I sought the best teachers I could find. One of my teachers had studied under Segovia, the other teacher studied under John Williams.
It's a delight to find someone (Ana) who in my teacher runs rings around both those teachers.
* Read "who in my opinion runs rings around both those teachers"
I have heard the pieces she plays, played by other guitarists. No one plays them better than she. Also the guitar she plays is the best sounding I've ever heard. Listen with good speakers or quality headphones.
Most amazing answers I have heard to some fundamental questions. Her answers would apply to any instrument. It took me many years to guess some of these answers. She talks very professionaly and from her heart. I know she teaches at the college level.
I had the opportunity to watch Ana Vidovic here in Brazil twice in 2012 and 2013, for me it was 2 unforgettable and wonderful days, I hope she comes back here in Brazil and God willing I will be there in the 1st row to watch her, she is simply wonderful, charismatic, I love her interpretation and virtuosity!
Mijn favoriete gitaarperformer .bedankt .
I love you Ana, because you are an incredible musician and a beautiful person.
Thank you, Ana!
*Much ❤ for this exceptional woman.*
❤️ so humble and beyond talented
Very good interview and questions! Congratulations for all!
No surprises here. There is no substitute for hard work and passion.
Thank you all so much for this
Thankyou so much Ana! You really change my perception on playing and how to practice classical guitar. Love you and may God bless you always..
I really enjoy hearing her answer these questions and provide her thoughts and insights. She is such a phenomenal talent I am glad to see she is very happy to share her thoughts with her fans and students of classical guitar.
Very recently, I saw her performance on youtube, and I am just mind blown! I have been tweaking knobs and programming MIDI for 12 years, and I have been associated with music for over two decades, so I know that it is not just the amount of time she has invested in the craft, but the dedication and hard work clearly shows in her work. It is beyond comparision.... And not to forget the naturally gifted people like herself.... Bravo, the world is such a better place because of such individuals. Much love to them!
Nice to hear Ana talking and giving out some good advice 👍
So apparently she is not only talented and beautiful but also smart as hell... What a fantastic person!
we need more of this please
this is amazing content
is pretty amazing how she play and interpret the score, respecting every single silence and decrescendo, magnific and congrats Ana you're so great guitar player and also please allow me to say you beautiful woman. Greetings
Wonderfully humble. It's hard work, you do it patiently, you get nervous before going on stage, you focus on the music with which you really connect. I heard no vanity or pride, just gratitude for the opportunities your gifts give you, a determination to use them as well as you can and a deep desire to help others do the same. I am very impressed.
She is so charming...along with Andrea. Those two are the best.
A lot of hidden background work... for these few minutes of playing...
But you have an inherited gift that only few have: the ability to translate a masterwork from the sheet music into others ears, so that the essence of the composition can be clearly percieved and understood.
Thanks for using it for us.
Lip balm is good for fingertips and thumb. I worried it would affect the French polish, but it is fine. Lovely question and answer.
Super. Many thx to Ana and Tonebase
Amazing content. Thanks for share 🙏
Thank you so much, Ana.
Really enjoy this ty
You're so great Ana.
She's so lovley
Very helpful tips! Thank you, Ana! One of my favorite classical guitarist! 🎉
(just started classical guitar)
I'm a jazz guitar player. I never thought of lotion on the left hand. Even though jazz strings don't squeak, I'll give that a try. Good tip.
Thanks for video!
Fantastic questions- thank you for the video!
Thank you Morgan for such a great question! We got an inside look at a master's approach!
Went to see Anna Live at Kings London.Wonderful.
You are amazing .
Great answer to the sixth question--about standard repertoire. That was my original attraction. When I was 17 my father gave me three old cassette tapes he had made. One was the etudes of Sor and Carcassi. The second was a Julian Bream recording of the Music of Spain. The third, and luckily, was a tape of Liona Boyd playing much of the aforementioned pieces as well as a Greensleeves arrangement of hers. I was hooked and my father bought me a $150 classical guitar. 95% of what I play today (36 years later) is from the early early 20th century back to the early Renaissance and on a much better guitar of course. But I guess the point is to play where your heart is. Where your love is. And that is what will bring forth what the composer intended and hopefully will transmit that feeling to your audience. Otherwise it can only be experimental. Thank you Ana for your tutoring.
I agree, remember, she is playing for herself too. Imagine polishing your skills for 30 years to be able to play (for yourself and enjoy) some of those demanding classics and your management tells you: i ve booked you a gig with the Rolling Stones!....nice but🥴 what, how, when, why ...heeelp.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful lady with beautiful playing... Greeting from Israel 🌹
I couldn't imagine that it was possible to be as smart as Ana because she is, on my opinion, one of greatest musician of the World but so humble and generous by giving a lot of advices to everybody. No doubt that J.-S. Bach would have appreciate and would certainly have composed thousands of masterpieces to Ana !!
Lots of hard work behind your behind your Beautiful Playing!!!
meaningful questions and answers

Bananas in the gig bag. I'll have to try that. Seriously, very informative - thanks very much.
Nice!
What i liked about this was the direct answers. She wasn't waxing any lyrical nonsense. She was always very technically adept but as she gets a bit older and wiser, she is becoming musically much deeper involved. Everything she states here is spot on.
just picked up a really great sor book I've had for a while. You have to know where all the notes are. That's what I'm working on.
Your are awesome! And beautiful!
My love, Ana ....love you...
What a woman!!!
Hello
Ana my name is Edward from Los Angeles. I just want to say, I also play Classical Guitar for about 41 yrs. In 1986 I met the Great Master
Andres Segovia thru a good friend of mine C. Parkenning it was the highlight of my Life! and I would
Just like to tell you, if Segovia was alive , I would definitely make sure he knows who you are .

i would have love to ask this QUESTION to her: DO YOU ADVICE guitarists to play multiple style That are likely compatible (for example classic + Flamenco) or to stick in one type of guitare
I think I lover her
thxx ... Ms Classical Guitar Master
it would be great to hear you play the blues Ana, even one vid an hour long. And do you write yourself? and many thanks for the amazing content you have shared. I listen every night.
🙏❤
I am bananas for Ana! :)
She should play in my metal band.
Big fan lady
i love you anna
Many of the comments are about the intelligence she's presenting.
Do you see the bubble that she has developed, incredible, just gorgeous, huge, stunning, from her eyes to her hair line, that, that, is the intelligence, that your seeing and from her connection to the instrument.
Music makes you smarter , smarter because it rearranges your perceptionairey animal mind and you begin thinking in the language of the existing energy transfer in the. universe.
She has completed this by learning sonic,,, energy transfer.
This one,,, is a powerful female, who, has learned well.
She has my respect and admiration, so far.
Hi Ana. Do you have a use Hauser Instruments ?
Ana, would you ever consider playing for motion pictures?
Time to get a new guitar.
Would you play the music of Atahualpa Yapanqui. Have you heard Roberto Aussel.
Hello Ana! Are all your scores written in the G clef only? What about to read some music for guitar in the F clef and in the C clef... well, what I am doing so far is to rewrite some guitar scores in F clef and C clef.... I'd like one day to show them to you, would be a pleasure to give you some of my scores. The music I am writing It is too easy, then for you would be as taking away a candy from a baby...What I am doing it is to play to match and connect the middle C sound with the real middle C note. In other words, for me to play the middle C in the guitar is the one that is in the 2nd string and 1st fret... and the middle C in the G clef is the one appear on the low 1rs ledger line... therefore, I decided to use the C clef instead the G clef. You are my favorite classical guitarist, I admire your awesome talent... how do you do to memorize all those notes and so many long difficult and fast melodies and musical pieces? Wow! You are incredibly talented! Greetings from Tijuana!
Cara Ana, occorrono diciture scritte in italiano e in ogni lingua che ti consulta. Dear Ana, written translated captions are needed in the language of the local country one lives, f. i. italian. Thank you.
Wondering what kind of strings you use. You are great of course!
She uses Galli strings and the Jim Redgate guitar.
@@natasamladenovic1765 I have seen written she uses D'Addarios
@@arataka57 google up: Entrevista a Ana Vidovic (subtitulada,), in the middle of that interview she says Galli
@@arataka57 ok, I now see it is an old interview, but i only saw it yesterday...so, maybe she changed them in the meantime

What a beautiful woman
Can i have question? How much do you practise? And how much did you practise in the past?
Postovana, kada ce te negdje blizu mene u Baden Würtembergu dati koncert?
Ana you and Estas Tonne are my favorite guitarist I would love to see you 2 play together one day. Do you think that would ever happen?
Do you have your own compositions?
What strings do you use to get that lovely mellow spanish sound?
In another interview she said Galli, but that is an older interview, so maybe she has changed them
Hey! I like you🎸
what is tonebase?
nobody;
my guitar teacher making me watch this for homework
I have a question for Ana: What goes through your mind when playing Asturias and someone in the audience coughs?
En español please!
Please help me, someone! I obsess with music, and when I hear a piece it’s impossible for me to rest until I find it and learn it. So, what is the name of the wonderful, Baroque sounding piece which we here before Anna goes into the first question? We only hear a few bars of it, and I’m fairly certain it starts in D. That piece sounds so beautiful and promising, I have to know.
Hey Stephen. It's Domenico Scarlatti Sonata K.333.
You can find the performance here: ruclips.net/video/DkFOeIpS4d4/видео.html
And the lesson to it on www.tonebase.co ;)
Happy practicing!
Igor
@@igorlichtmann6206 so very kind of you. I will sleep tonight. Really; i suspected DS but there are 500 of them:). Thanks again
do you know guys that I've been hesitating to join Tonebase since a month and I decided to join it now because of Ana
I know why Bach is weeping in the fugue appassionata n°rt4562 XXL or something like that : GOD has told him that a little girl will become a fantastic musician playing on a small guitarounette. BUT GOD also said in french to him that Moïse wouldn't have followers anymore : "Tout Bach que tu es, tu ne pourras pas refaire avec le Temps ce que Moïse a fait subir à la mer Rouge depuis des temps immémoriaux et tu ne pourras jamais entendre cette fameuse Ana, que je réserve pour un autre compositeur génial que je ferai naître en 1963." Merci
Jeff
A dove!
What do we take from this candid video Q and A? Have you guy's ever seen a girl that hot who is mirroring that talent with music abilities?
😀😆🤣😊😍😁
Ana... Komponujete li?
Sarei curioso di sapere che chitarre suona,ma lei farebbe cantare anche una chitarrina per bambini...
your such a beautiful lady
I think it is good when you do some crossover pieces. It makes people want to know more about the musicians. This leads to them to classical music. Your cover of Tears in Heaven sounded better than Clapton's. Your agent did not return my call btw after the Feb concert in 2023. You suggested I call her. You are the best representative for classical music guitar today, Imo. ❤😎
Wish Ana had more time for her fans. She has ignored several emails from me in the past.
Anda berasal dari negara mana ana vidovic??
CROATIA
One question. Will you marry me?
As a member of the audience, I will judge you if you make mistakes. One is all you get..
Mastress lesson.
No, it is not an iconic piece. It's boring and I am sick of hearing it everywhere I go. The first part has nothing to do with the second and I have never been able to establish a connection between the two sections. There are hundreds of new and old composers who have written pieces that are enormously more enjoyable than Leyenda, and they actually make sense. Please let's walk away from this piece and start exploring the huge repertoire that exists for the guitar. Thank you.
I think it's very disgraceful and unwise that Ana doesn't share her Asturias Tutorial by RUclips with the rest of humanity. Tonebase is very expensive and not fair. Now only rich people can get the blessings of her Tutorial. I am a fan of Ana since years, but this decision is very ego driven and unwise. Many other teachers share their knowledge for free on RUclips. Now many fans are disappointed and can't watch her Tutorial for which they waited for so long ... it's very unwise, Ana doesn't share it for free with us fans :(
