Great videos, thank you!! I just purchased a used Designer SE, and I am still waiting for it to come back from the service man before picking it up. Watching your videos, I am very excited to get started using it!!
Raquel, How old is your machine ? I noticed you have a couple of things that are different from mine ? Just curious. Would be really nice to have more videos for this machine ! My machine was purchased in 2005
can you please tell me why my sewing machine would seem like it would freeze when I turn it on. I have a designer se and the screen always says "machine set for straight stitch", with a yellow circle with a blue line through it. tapping on it does nothing, can you please help me.
+Laura Fuher Laura they just click on easily - there is no trick. Approach the presser foot ankle from the front, back the foot up to the ankle so that the little silver bar is against the tiny gap between the white plastic upper part and the black flat metal lower part of the ankle. The black bit sort of sticks out like a little ledge. Once the silver bar is on the ledge and against the white plastic part, just gently push it back. The silver bar slips between the black metal ledge and the white plastic part. I know, sounds complicated but if you look at your machine, you will know just what I am talking about. To get them off, slightly tip the foot down at the back and pull it off to the front. If you don't have the manual for your machine, it can be downloaded for no cost from the Husqvarna website (www.husqvarnaviking.com ). Go to Machines; scroll down to Updates in the footer at the bottom of the page; on the left-hand side, scroll down until you see All Machines; use the down arrow to reveal all the models and scroll to find Designer SE; click on that, and on the next page there will be a turquoise button to download the manual. I had to scroll a little to see the button, but I'm working on a laptop not a big monitor.
+Laura Fuher Sorry to hear you broke the ankle, Laura. Lucky it is a cheap replacement. Did you download the manual from the Husqvarna website? Not a huge download and I think you will find it useful if you don't have any of the booklets that came with the machine. Also, you can get the most recent OS (operating system) update for your machine from here. Of course there haven't been any updates in quite some years, but there were three or four updates for this machine back in the day.
Thank you Raquel! I have the se 2005 and never use. Now ready to get started, do appreciate your help!Again thank you
