By far some of the best footage showing off our MARTA System..Well done ..We just need more rail today. We "ATLANTA "were way ahead of most other cities considering we put this in place 1979. Let that sink in.. I still come across people that have no idea that we have transit train system. While many other cities didn't have anything for decades . This System has given us an advantage in hosting large events. We must build more rail service for the future ATLANTA and it's residence. There has not been any expansion since 2000 I believe.
They do your correct but they were refurbished with the bombardier propulsion because they didn't always sound like this in their earlier years of service
@@TheREALTHAAANG 1508C (Adtranz/Bombardier MITRAC) CQ310 CQ311 always sounded like that it the same propulsion they had back in 1979/1984 and The CQ312 used the same propulsion.. Marta only updated the propulsion during the Rehabilitation
@@hoodboyzAtl No what I was saying was they were refurbished by Alstom in the early 2000s which the propulsion was added. They had dc motors in their first years.
nope, I didn't see any until my third trip like this. I got em on an out of service 4-car train that was 1 CQ311 and 1 CQ312. I got her 3 times that day, video coming soon

My Father Jerome Partridge use to operate 158 North and south Bound in the 80's and 90's

Is it just me or has the train gotten shorter I remember it having more carriages then this
Well all platforms (except 1) have the length for 8 car trains but only run 6 car trains
Na marta usually runs 6 then if its a big event or sum then they run 6 & 8
The Green line from Bankhead to IPR (Inman Park-Renyoldstown) only runs on 2 cars per trains.
