One thing I would love to see more is what to do, and how much it would cost if there were issues during the inspection. For example, if the vacuum lines were indeed cracked should we leave the car immediately, and if not how much it would cost us to fix that issue. Great videos! Keep it up!
Hey may not do that because it will seriously depend on the damage. Vehicles are little buggers. One thing wrong, then it's a butterfly effect. Shops charge different prices. You may be able to fix yourself, maybe not. Would be interesting, but I could see why he'd be weary of it.
I mean when I'm buying a car even after checking all those things myself I'm still gonna go to a repair shop and have them do an inspection (and they can tell you the cost and what not)
I've been watching several when buying a used car videos and taking notes before getting my hopes up on a car when I go to buy one a little ways down the road. Let me just say your videos have been the most in detail and easy to follow I've seen yet. I could watch you explain car ins and outs all day. And the fact you live in florida as well is a plus too. Thank you for the knowledge.
I would point out some vehicles (like my Crown Vics) use transmission fluid in the power steering reservoir and the transmissions on them are supposed to be checked when warm, with engine running in park after cycling through all the gears, rather than cold with the engine off.

In Texas a person can sell 5 vehicles per year. If you have a spouse and kids, each of them can also sell 5. So for someone like me, I could sell 20 per year by utilizing family members. I will be curious to see what Buddy answers on this since he's in Florida

How do check the condition of oil and transmission fluid when they are sealed? Lexus and Toyota both have many models that have sealed fluids not just BMW.

Crankcase? I thought the crankcase was at the bottom of the engine in the area where the crankshaft is....what you opened up looked like the top half of the engine (maybe valve train?)
