- Hey guys! With the great response from last week's decluttering video, I figured I would continue on this week with a video all about how I clean my room. Essentially, in 10 steps, I clean up my room in 30 minutes or less. This video is a bit more of a deep clean video because I'm actually, well, cleaning, rather than just picking up. This video is from five years ago, but it helped me now. I'm depressed, I don't leave the house, and my room was completely trashed. everything was so bad that it was almost impossible to walk around the room, because numerous rubbish and things lying on the floor interfered. I forgot how to do the seemingly most ordinary and simple things, but you helped me. Yes, the video is quite simple, but this makes it very convenient and understandable. your cheerful mood in the video seemed to give me energy. I cleaned for several days, going through each stage, it was very hard for me, but I did it, my room became much better than it was before. Thank you

Kendall Smith Yep, and then you see people with totally organised drawers: I could maybe get one drawer looking really nice but Can you get to say my desk and the top drawer well it need scissors paper stapler stuff, sticky tape stuff, sparer mates for Foxtel (then I don’t need to panic if I lose mine I just was open my desk drawer and I’m free to watch TV - okay well after I’ve paid the bloody subscription: before anyone says anything no I’m not rich, I’m chronically ill spending a lot of time in hospital and most of my time in bed so Foxtel is my only vice - I never go to the movies, or for that matter pubs clubs out to dinner or anything fun. So Foxtel is. But back to these draws that people have all organised. What they don’t have thing that just just don’t fit into a category, because I’ve got plenty of things that just do not fit into one category or the other.…)
So yes, I’m watching this video because I should be cleaning my room. Although I am extremely ill I’m going to push myself to do as much as I can.. Is even packing for Hospital creates mess. I must say I’m doing this with an IV running through at the moment.. Life wasn’t meant to be easy but does cleaning of room really have to be this hard? Because it is. I get to step eggrrr: my disk just never gets clean. Even when it is there’s stuff on the top that really doesn’t have a home.
The best solution I have for this is to just have less stuff. I try to live as minimalistic as possible because first of all the environment but second I just hate sorting through stuff I do not actually need. I know wear all the clothes I own. Everything I do not really love I have donated to charity shops and I only buy something when I really need it. Saves me so much time. and headache.
Mines the opposite 😂😂 my drawers and wardrobe are really neat but that’s cos there’s nothing in them because it’s all in my floor 😂😂😬
What happens to me is my rooms clean for one day then the next day its a mess again 😂😂. And its not that I wanna be messy it's just as I get older theres alot of things to do so I dont get time to clean it. Thx for the help new subscriber:))))

Just use every time you leave your room or get up from your desk to put stuff away you don't need anymore. Like: when you have some dishes to put away just take them with you the next time you go to the kitchen or when doing your make up just put the things back in their place after using them instead of just putting them somewhere else because if you have the time to put sth down you probably also have the time to put it in the spot where it belongs. In the end this will even save you time because you don't have to take so much time at once to tidy up.
itz bella one tip that helped me was realizing if things aren’t routine they aren’t going to get done. Dedicate 15 min right before bed or right when you wake up to clean up, it helps!!
Also, if you have trouble being ready in time for bed try doing your night routine (showering, face care, laying out clothes, packing work bag/purse with things) right when you get home from work or get done with dinner. I know for me I always procrastinate watching Netflix or RUclips and then suddenly it’s 10p and I still have an hour’s worth of bedtime routine to do. It helps me by having nothing to do when I look at the time and realize I should be in bed.
My fave thing to do after tidying my room, is to spray it with perfume rather than air freshener - lasts ages, and makes me feel happy. 😊

It looks like you have a pretty stable system in place. My living space is shared with an unfortunately depressed/ unstable person. I’ve lived here for two years and I’ve been developing systems of organization the entire time, some of which were life changing. But there is so much more to do, and I’m already thinking about moving on to a new home

I do my own laundry, and I've had enough bed bugs to know it is not a good idea to take any chances. At one point, there was a toad in my bedroom, I think it sneaked in when I wasn't looking at night.

•Sort dirty/clean clothes
•fold/put away clean clothes
•put dirty clothes in hamper
Then
•Make bed/new sheets
•Take all the stuff off your dresser
•organize top of dresser from biggest things to smallest
•Get big trash bag and put dresser trash/big pieces of trash
•Sweep then mop
•Any random shoes put in a pile/then sort shoes and find a space for them
•Dust off pictures/wall accessories/fan
•Lysol air spray
•Air freshener
•Wash clothes
•Dry clothes
•Put away clothes

My room hat paint splats, stains from food and dust everywhere. Plus it smells like urine, because my cat gets epileptic seizures sometimes and pisses herself.
Also, lots of tiny pieces of foam that you can't get out of the carpet.

So once I had a friend who didn’t clean her room like AT ALL every time I would come over we would either clear her bed off because it was covered with clothes and trash or we would hang out somewhere else. One day I decided maybe she need just a little motivation or something like that so I said we should deep clean her room and u would stay the night. While we were cleaning I showed her this video along with some others and this one def helped her the most. Like when I say her room was dirty I mean can’t see the ground, moldy food and dishes, dirty and clean clothes everywhere after we finished it looked so good really all thanks to you ❤❤ I think she wasn’t in a good place mentally so a little motivation realllyyy helped!!

Well.. if you compare it to mine. I have extension cords and wires reaching across my room 😂 although now my room looks how yours looked at the beginning and it's no longer considered messy in my world, thanks!! 😊
