Youre a good man Mike, thanks for the video! The worry about "messing something up" has paralyzed me at times with even getting started in the business but videos like this are a priceless resource that there is a solution to just about everything, in case you do mess up. Thanks!
Wow I never thought about the reflection off of a neighboring house. Priceless insight and observation thank you for that! You definitely provide good customer service. In this case here I would’ve definitely done the same thing you did and went back. I agree with pretty much everything said here, you can never make windows perfect but I think we always owe the customer a proper rinse. Very proper work here Mike you operate your business with integrity and that’s why you’re a winner. Thanks for the shout out. I didn’t expect that and I haven’t posted in a while but I’m actually uploading a video now while watching yours. Have a great weekend and god bless!
I watched your rinse aid video from the other day and low and behold I had my 1st call back for spots on windows today. I put a small amount of rinse aid in a spray bottle as they were all 1st floor windows and it worked great. Thank you for the tip!
I mixed 2.5Gal of 12.5% Bleach with a half bottle of rinse aid and filled the rest with water. I downstream let it sit for a couple of minutes and rinsed. Windows came out spotless. I was trying to cut down time on applying bleach, rinse and come back with rinse aid and rinse. Well it worked and saved some time.
So if I'm doing a house wash and was worried about spots..... would I wash>rinse aid>rinse -or- wash>rinse>rinse aid? If using a 5g bucket with water, how much rinse aid per 5g bucket do you reckon?
Great questions. Wash, rinse, rinse aid, rinse. I don’t have a formula. But I can tell you this, when you put it in your dishwasher, you only use an ounce or so.

If you use rinse aid that is mostly water it seems like a rinse after would be redundant? I have sprayed vinegar on glass that was hazy and walked away with clean windows. Thoughts?
ive been using rinse aid while house washing in the water tank some. Also using xjet to wash house i add some window soap like GG4 and ive gone as far as making pure water in my 5gallon jug of SH and soap and it seems to help the glass. I do window cleaning but a lot of people dont want to pay. I will waterfed pole after otherwise.

When dealing with haze or suspicious you may wind up with haze, I have always been satisfied with using agent halt. Apply it, wait a minute and do a quick rinse.
Prime point behind my "no way you can do that many houses in a day comment". Though it may be more of hard water stains, no where in ohio has soft water. Everywhere in ohio has super hard water. Our contract states we are not responsible for hard water stains from the customers water source. We do let them know we go over the windows during the wash but they will not get spot free results. We offer window cleaning (exterior only, screens must be removed prior to our arrival) for $100.00 extra on top of a $395+ house wash. We use a spot free system hooked to a 12v pump OH and lose the grey sutner gun and get you the purple with the anti fatigue trigger.

Owning my mistakes… I have a friend/realtor who gives me a lot of work. She asked about washing a roof. I measured. She didn’t ask for an estimate up front. Just do the job. I washed what I saw in the text message. I washed the front half of the roof. Something didn’t sit right with me. I read her original message this morning. Oops! She didn’t want the front half washed. She only wanted a section of the front half washed. I text back and explained what happened. I told her I would refund the money for the area washed that she did not request. I can sleep better at night knowing I made it right vs appearing to just be charging her for something she never requested. When I sent the invoice she asked why it was so expensive. Turns out I misunderstood her original text. So she got the front half of the roof washed for super cheap. And she was very happy that I made it right.
