    Fun fact: the meter was originally meant to be defined in the 1700s in a way such that the circumference of the earth ends up being by definition 40,000 km, but they figured out that the earth is not a perfect sphere, and that they introduced a measurement error, and just continued anyway. But the deviation from the target is quite good, for the 1700s.

    IAS is the lower number. The higher you are, the less dense the air becomes, thus showing a lower speed. TAS is calculated by the temp and pressure difference at altitude. Thats going to be your GS.

    Change the altitude in the navlog and ATC will step climb you up to cruise.

    What's the point I don't get it with a fuel stop it actually means nothing why settle on a 747 when a host of new Gen wide bodies could be used for the useless exercise.
