My grandmother told me as a child and adult DO NOT DISCUSS YOUR HOME BUSINESS OUTSIDE WITH ANYONE. SHE SAID HANDLE YOUR HOME BUSINESS WITH THE People living in your home and sleeping in your bed because if you can’t talk to your partner then why are you in a relationship with them🙅🏾‍♀️🙅🏾‍♀️. Granny was RIGHT.

I feel balance is key. It's the twenty first century, every woman should learn about toxic behaviors and patterns so that they can sight them, and speak with people about it. It's okay to keep your home affairs between you and your husband but what if he's a narcissist or has some crazy personality disorder? You'd definitely need to speak with someone about it.

Wow. I really enjoyed this video. My fiancée and I are abstaining until marriage as well. I am able to know him and understand him and appreciate him for who he is. And he can do the same for me. I also have learned a ton of things from my dating past and I actually have implemented what I learned and it’s been so much better. I learned I was emotionally immature before and I didn’t understand how this was so crucial in how my relationships would be. I also learned that as a priceless woman, I set my own value wayyyy too low and I put up with things I would NEVER put up with now! I wasn’t looking for him when I met him. He just kind of came into my life last year. It’s bliss, Fumi. It really is. I don’t tell my family anything personal about my fiancé. In private, I can appreciate our love and respect and even our disagreements and it feels soooo much more sacred like nothing before. Watching these reality shows will have you thinking that love is all about spreading your business all through the streets. There is NOTHING like the peace, passion, honesty, fulfillment, and love that I feel now from him and it’s beautiful.

I've always said to keep your relationship in your relationship . Never discuss relationships or family matters outside of the family. It never ends well and never will, why because people don't want to get involved or they stir up more drama that you definitely don't need. I always just listen if someone tells me something I'd rather not hear 🙉 and just encourage them to talk to the person they are talking about.

@@ToniaAlex13 Well said. I agree. In abusive or dysfunctional situations, while I agree with Aunty Fumi to be discreet and honor your relationship by keeping things inside, please don't take this advice to keep your mouth shut when you are unsafe or abused or mistreated cos many have shut their mouths all the way to the grave 6ft under. God forbid. In the multitude of counsel wisdom is found. May God protect us all from bad omen.

Its not that easy. Remember people Can be difficult with different values thats why the legal system helps to manage the chaos. If u dont speak to another person to objectively look at pending issues without been bias, i bet u , u will speak to a judge sooner or later if u are alife. Those of us that are lucky sometimes dont really understand that some women are living like prisoners in their matrimonial home. Lets be careful how we advice pp. Some have died of stress, poured acid on, strangled , flogged, abused everyday and u say they should dialogue with a beast? Look lets count ourself lucky as we help others in their fight and be a voice of truth.

My God, Auntie Fumi. If women had more role models like you, men would act SO differently and women would not put up with HALF the shit that we do and for not nearly as long. 🙌🏾 Folks having babies (lifelong responsibilities) with deadbeat men that they don't even know who don't WANT to be husbands and providers... you are SO wise. Gosh, I hope that more women learn of you and take your advice. We are SO much more powerful and high- vibrational than we give ourselves credit for. I love your videos, ESPECIALLY S2S. THANK YOU!!

Can you please do a video on REALISTIC financial responsibilities for women in marriage? I definitely know every marriage has unique financial needs but what are some standards you can share? That is: joint accounts, building a house together /mortgage/rent, car expenses, groceries, school fees for kids, personal accounts, etc. In what ways can a woman contribute financially in marriage without emasculating her husband?

No consistent complaining, because it causes your blood family to have bad feelings toward the other person. If you're going to do something positive with the advice you're getting, fine. But if you vent too much, you bring others into your marriage. It's not good. If you are in physical danger and need help or advice to escape, be ready to move and do something about it. It's not fair to have others disliking your spouse and taking sides. It's destructive to the relationship. I had a relative who was always complaining to her friends about her husband. She was an unhappy miserable selfish person. Never satisfied with what he did. He would work 14-16 hour days, cook, do laundry, help with schoolwork, cook for holidays and remember all the special days. Her female friends thought she was so lucky. Two or 3 of her friends tried to steal him away from her. They both eventually were vying for their friends to take their sides about marital issues. It became SO toxic, everyone in their friends circle eventually left. They finally ended up with NO friends. People got tired of the fighting. Family is always going to side with THEIR family, IF they know their loved one is halfway decent.

So to get away for my parents home I leave like a big woman lol that was the worst choice I have ever made in my life. To make a long story short he never provided for me I work so hard to try to set a good picture for my friends & family that am soooo happy which was not true. I got fed up n leave with just the cloths on my back n my hand bag. A few years later I met my present husband Mr Jackson he's a bit older but I love it he treats me like the queen I am I bless god for sending him in my live, as in life there will always be ups n downs by once the two becomes one the sky's is the limit. It depends on the topic, the relationship between the family members etc… I’d say for me, “NO”… my family get to involved to the point it’s considered “meddling”… if they were to offer advice and “guide” me to the “best” decision, I would seek advice, but honestly NO… I’d rather seek advice from a close family friend and/or a person whom I see is living a purposeful life (according to my standards).. (for me elderly people are the BEST advice givers.. doesn’t matter the race or nationality.. Matters of the heart are universal)..❤️

Aunty Fumi, thank you for the sister 2 sister segment. Please will you talk about being married to a Norwegian man? Specifically, did you encounter any negative comments from family and/or friends?

S2S have always been my favorite videos you make Aunty Fumi!! Bring on the marathon! Could you do a video on how to deal with toxic family members that you can’t completely cut out of your life? (Because they are in laws, etc.)

I know this video is some time ago but speaking of families, I wonder if Fumi has a story/can share a story on entitled in-laws with no boundaries and/or passive aggressive, bitter and jealous SILs?

  • @juliannaokike5142

The reason I said no is because your famliy and friends are closest too you and are quick to formulate biased opinions faster than a person who is unknown to you so ask yourself do you want them to pre judge this person with out having met them yet or if you are already an item they may say things about him that he did not know when among other family members. if you keep it to yourself you eliminate the tensions there for the two of you.

Yes!!! You are so correct, but I had a friend and she tried to disrespect me in my home 🏡 I had to get rid of that relationship/ friendship.
It's one of those some people are not your friends for life. You know the story you told about the girl who was jealous of her friend because of a job. Well that was her.

Can you please talk about the challenges a young girl can have in the modelling business ... with both negative confrontations from both men and women ..be it jealousy or advances, and how to deal with them.

Hope your success doesn’t change you. And how do you have all that energy? You are the best mix of practicality, truthfulness and spirituality. Thank you for being you

Your advice is cool when mother-in-law is not interferring every minute. When they interfer my dear u need to speak to others. That's how many lovely ladies died for remaining mute and he continues his life. Its good to let them know that if they mess up big time your family will come after them roughly. Thank God mine treats me like a queen.

    • @aeiou0123
      @aeiou0123 3 года назад +1

when there is interference, the best option is to speak with a therapist (that is a neutral party with no bias). Telling friends and family will further complicate the issue.

Aunty Fumi, I thoroughly enjoyed the engaging conversation. You're taught me a lot. Can you please speak on what to do if you're in a relationship for a long time, the guy is kind, generous and loving but doesn't want to commit to being married

Must be hard. Sad thing is it sounds like it'll have to end at some point cus you guys are incompatible and want different things or one of you compromises.

He ultimately might not be the one for you...if you desire marriage but he doesn't you're not on the same page. You might have to end it because your husband is out there waiting for you.

This episode spoke to me. I have been in a controlling and abusive relationship for almost 5 years now. I saw the signs early but I ignored them, I didn't want to start afresh, I was working but I didn't have stability. I was seeking emotional comfort and I guess someone to love me as I have lost almost all of my family members. My so called partner has called me a whore, a slut, a bitch- as a way to win an argument, not because I have cheated. We were once arguing and I was standing up for myself and he told me to go tell my "bitch dead mother" what I am saying, someone he has never met. He doesn't want me to take care of my teenage brother, he hates him, he calls him a retard to his face, he has said so many hurtful things I dont love him anymore. I want to leave, I dont know how because when you are with a psycho, they dont see anything wrong, they blame you for everything. He strangled me at 2 am two months ago, he went through my phone looking for evidence of me cheating. He has done so much I just want out. I don't have the courage to leave, he has anger issues. I think I am afraid of him. Now I earn twice his salary, I am responsible for majority of ours bills, the burden is getting to me as I feel like he's comfortable. It pisses me off that he is benefitting from my handwork while my own brother is suffering and sleeping without food. He does not care, he is happy that the child is suffering. Aunty Fumi, please give some advice.
