- Hi Friends! Now that I'm expecting baby #3 this summer I have been asked the most about how my skincare routine has changed. I thought this was the perfect time to collab with my BFF and dermatologist, @Drninadesai to go over in detail products that are pregnancy safe. AND, they're all from the drugstore! Girl, this is the first pregnancy face care routine i’ve seen that i’ve loved! First because it’s more affordable products which is always great and two because you get straight to it and i’ve totally been having dry skin and there’s some products you’ve mentioned that I really need! I love this video! thank you 😭
I just wanted to say that it is amazing to see you two as an Indian woman in her mid 20s! We don’t have much representation on RUclips or social media so I don’t get so see “American” Desis and that can be hard!!! But this gives me happiness to know that there are people like me out there if that makes sense??

This is great! I’ve been doing lots of research for skin care safe products to use during pregnancy. The neutropenia moisturizer you mentioned contains retinol
Hi! Are you sure? The Neutrogena Bright Boost? I didn’t see any listed and I did extensive research.
Glycolic acid is an AHA that has the smallest particle that can fly through the skin and burn, especially for skin of colour. I wonder why a Dermatologist would approve this especially for a pregnant woman who will have more reactive skin? I suppose it might be ok if you wear enough suncream but I wouldn't wear it myself. Great seeing the representation though :)
Love the products, any recommendation for exfoliation? Hydro boost exfoliating cleanser safe to used during pregnancy ?

Hey, the Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel cream contains AHA & PHA which I believe aren’t recommended to be used during pregnancy. Are you certain its safe to use this moisturiser

I do have a questions regarding below products if you can help me whether i can use them now ( I am afraid to use them as i am nursing my baby) :

Your video is so helpful and right on point.
I have a question regarding ur sunscreen recommendation. La Roche Posay Anthelios Mineral Face Sunscreen - SPF 50 has an inactive ingredient which is butyloctyl Salicylate. Looks like that is salt from salicylic acid. So is this product safe to use in pregnancy?? I m currently 10 weeks pregnant and quiet worried about my sunscreen options for face specifically.
Congrats on your pregnancy! I will ask Dr. Nina on this but from what I have read and heard Salicylate is ok. I will check on this so please do check with your dr and I'll get back to you!

love this video.. following this routine now. the only addition I have made to this is that I use the wishful rose oil (assuming its safe, please correct me if otherwise).

This is my first pregnancy and i am oily BUUT I noticed I started to get little dry patches on my forehead and cheeks and around my mouth. I didn’t know we weren’t allowed to use benzyl peroxide and my cleanser has it because I do have acne as well. I really liked my cleanser but I guess it’s stripping my skin toooo much
What can I use to remove some dark spots on my face help please since I’m breastfeeding

svp50 can I tell you with pregnancy we obviously have a heightened sense of smell but i don’t notice it at all with that cleanser which is why I love it. But do you mean in general it’s not fragrance free?
@@amirawal I don't mind scents, love them actually, but a lot of dermatologists advuse against products with fragrance because it can irritate skin. I always check for fragrance in my skincare products as a result. Just started using the honest beauty cleanser though and love that! CeraVe hydrating cleanser is another amazing gentle cleanser for dry skin.
Great point, Nina didn’t mind the fragrance in here but def good to keep in mind if you have a sensitivity to it
Only question I have about benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid is, would it be okay to use it daily during pregnancy if it's a short contact time and under 2% SA and under 5%BP?

I’ve recently learned that bio oil contains vitamin a which is basically retinol .. is this still ok to use?
Retinol is a derivative of Vit A..the one in Bio Oil is fine to use while pregnant or nursing.

I couldn't find info about glycolic acid being safe during pregnancy. Most of the articles says: its not proven unsafe, but it's only cause not enough studies and tests are done. There is few articles says its safe, BUT consult your doctor first. so.. I'm confused..)

Is it okay to use pixie glycolic toner+ vit c?? Because i heard you shouldn't use various acids together n have tried too and broke me out
great ask! you do want to be careful bc the glycolic is an exfoliant and vit c can be irritating or reactive to sensitive skin, but if your skin can handle it then it's totally fine. I like to ease into products/acids like this..so I start 2x a week then build from there until I get to daily if I can

Hi! Shouldn't you avoid fragrance in your products?
if you know you're sensitive to them absolutely. The amount in the products that I shared were minimal and don't irritate me, but great point to keep in mind as pregnancy leads to heightened sensitivity including fragrance.
