You forgot to mention the most important gear for a kayak fisherman.... The lanyard. Nothing gets lost overboard with that fastened to anything, even you... Lol
I haven't used a lanyard since my first few trips. I guess I should have one on hand for emergency situations like this one.

That sounds like a good investment. I try to keep my kayak for getting too banged up, but at the same time I remind myself it's a fishing kayak and is going to get some scraps and scars.

How’s the shrimp looking at the bait shops I know there for a lil bit me and my son were only getting micro shrimp for regulars and the hand picks were the size of regulars so u taught him how to shrimp a night like you said it’s to expensive to buy shrimp currently and with the sizes I was getting I couldn’t justify buying anymore
I got regular sized and thought they were fine.
