I guess it's as correct as their personal preferences. :p Still, they could have missed something. I'd also have mounted it lower, probably on the bumper.
Its looks cool with the lights and roll cage. But the blower, intercooler, turbos, and wing make it look too crazy for me. But thats me. If it has a lower/ smaller wing, i thin it would work better. 15:17 This is what it is. it's not supposed to look exactly how you want, or be realistic, and it shouldn't have to be. a big reason why people get into RC is because they can do whatever they want and aren't bound by the limitations of real cars and the money it takes to build them., so it annoys me when people try to enforce these non-existent rules and bring in the toxicity of the irl car scene. btw the wing has 2 small tabs that you can barely see that would cover up a part of the license plate so thats why its mounted higher
I'm with you IceBrew. The r/c hobby is supposed to be a sandbox for people to create anything they want. Sadly, that seems to be lost on some people. -Brett
its funny but at the end, i realized that if i had the skyline body with all the extras, i would love to change it to the original!!ahahhaha ( love the content though!)
I did the same thing with the wheels cause the offset cause it to scratch on the brakes also if you do it on mst rmx remove the spacers if you have them.
Looks cool Brett. I had a R31 four door 1:1 as my first car in the early 90’s and always wanted to do it up, it’s long gone but maybe I will do a smaller version of my dream car.
You could also make your own but you have to know wiring REALLY well or you can short out the receiver. I mean, it’s a simple electrical circuit but you still run the risk of possibly shorting something out.

Great job! I wonder how all that bling would look like in the original body, I think I would have liked it better. What matters is what rows your boat! :)
will this series be continued? i remember you said in part 1 that you would like to make this one easy to drive and stuff. since i am into 10th scale drifting myself, i can tell you there are some good things you could do to this chassis on the performance side to improve the driving experience. first thing that comes to mind would be a sensored motor system for improved throttle control. also keep the poles of that motor as low as possible (not the windings), a lighter rotor tends to have less coasting effect, when you let off the gas. could be benefitial. in any case, fun series, entertaining to watch. thank you. -Daniel.
The body turned out great but if it was my I wouldn’t add those intakes and supercharger on top of the hood, in my eye they simply ruined it. But this is subjective, and I still enjoyed the video.
I think killerbody has the best prepainted bodies. I dont own any but they look the best. I have a yokomo yd-2e carbon fiber chassis version, and for a kit I love it. Im going to get a yokomo ae86 body so I can stick the magnets on the dimples so I dont have to set up the mounts custom. The magnet will be in the rear window but im okay with that. I can remove a magnet from a clear surface without messing up paint anyways if I do get different rear mounts. Ebay magnet mounts work fine though. Cool video.
Tell me the drifter side of the hobby is the most pressed without telling me the drifter side of the hobby is the most pressed=read these comments.😂😂😂 But for real, ya'll think that wing mount is a troll move?? 😂🤨
Hi Brett, that killer body really looks killer, but when I saw 👀 the price of the magnets 🧲 I went oooph, nah way too expensive for me, but whatever floats yer boat 🚤 man. Super nice video guys. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
DS rims are overrated to me. They do not fit on any MST chassis, that I have, without taking off the rotors and replace the calipers with regular hex adapters because the inner diameter on the backside of the rim is really narrow than any other rim I've used Also, depending on the body, you can't really get a deep offset look because the tires stick out way too far, making the car look ridiculous. And yes, the chrome finish doesn't allow the inner rim to seat properly with doing a whole bunch of tedious sanding. The black and other color rims have no issue because it's just straight plastic, no paint dip. They look cool and scale, but I've found them to be non functional garbage meant for display chassis only.
turbos must feed the generator for an emergency refrigerator cuz they sure cant feed the motor if the supercharger is drawing air from the scoop on top of it. yea i know its an rc car but immediately killed the immersion for me seeing such an obvious issue. i suppose you could run some air tubing from the hood up to the supercharger to make it look plausible. or i can go f- off too.. just my 2c. ive enjoyed the build so far.

The R31 body is slightly longer than any other drifting bodies, so it won’t fit in many carrying cases🤣🤣🤣 I have to carry it separately each time.
