I am a Mosotho by nationality married to the Cameroonian man, he always asks me where did I learn cooking Cameroon dishes. He enjoys my cooking soo much and it's all thanks to you Precious. 💕
Your story at the end brought tears to my eyes Precious. Same happened to me and my cousin at my neighbors house and they were soaking expired bread to give pigs and we were so hungry and begging for a piece to eat. Today I am so grateful for food, shelter, freedom and you name it. Thank you for inspiring your audience like myself.
I am a Nigerian but was born in Cameroon and grew up there. Your videos carry a lot of memories for me. You inspire me every time I watch your videos, I just rush to the kitchen to try out your recipes. Please keep doing what your doing. Love you.❤️
Hmmm rice and stew is present in almost every household in Cameroon sometimes plain without fish or meat. But this meal is affordable and easy to cook. Hey you better bring back dat head fish oh...my best 🥰
😋😋😋 in those days of Cameroon. I love fish head🤦♀️. Your story relates to me too. Today I can eat whatever I want. Back then to see this fish stew was not easy. We were struggling to feed in our house. We thank God today. You are such a sweetheart.
One think I love about your videos is how detailed to you are. Explaining the little bits like why we need more oil than may be required. btw I learned this from you and my stews are top notch now. Thanks and keeping making these awesome videos.
Fresh tomatoes stew is bae. Love it with spaghetti. In Cameroon this fish u used is what we call mackerel (mackero) though mackerel is actually different. Up to date its my favorite fish. I hate the real mackerel, it looks like snake to me. I don't even eat it. Thanks lady P. Stew on my menu tomorrow.
I made yor dish today it was delicious I did everything you said but I used fresh cod fish thank you 😊 so much my kid loved it and my son is very pickyI will definitely make this dish again ❤
I am Zimbabwean. I tried your fish stew, chillies and all. I must admit the habanero pepper was not easy to track down, this part of the world. This recipe made me into a subscriber. I'm converted.
African queen, loving your earring. Thx for sharing this mouth watering recipe. A little feedback to improve on your amazing videos would be to try to make them a little shorter around the 10min or even less mark. There are some steps that could be skipped and explained e.g the spice blend, pepper, Maggi and additional water steps took close to 3 minutes could be done in one step and explained. Thanks for sharing these wonderful recipes with us and I can’t wait for the next one❤️
Thank you, dear. I get what you are saying. That has been by goal and my last videos were somewhat shorter. But I struggled on making this one shorter. I will continue to work on that. Thanks for taking time to let me know. ❤
It means they not properly cooked . Try fry your tomatoes on medium heat till they stick to the bottom of the pot. Don't forget to stir so it doesn't burn
@@PreciousKitchen I've been watching your videos because I was so unfamiliar with Camaroonian food and I wanted to learn more, then I tried a few of them, starting with the fish rolls and now I'm addicted. It's all been delicious!

A myth! Our granny's in Africa used cubes till the end of their lives in their 90's upward years. No cancer nor any sickness at all. We are not going to eat tasteless food at all. What is food with no Maggi? Unless it's Koki or Nkwi. Ur advice appreciated though and well received.

Wow it looks Awesome
Thank you!
I normally start with less oil and then add olive oil during the process to get that angry boiling.
Can we equally add curry powder? What of celerie or is basil best for fish stew?
LOOKS SO GOOD 😋
Aunty pre you no go kill me with sweet I love it
This stew looks delicious mrs precious
Thank you, dear.
Question sometimes the tomatoes are sour when you fry it, how do you make it not sour? Thanks in advance.

Looks so good! :D
Thank you, dear.
What's another name for the basil leave mentioned please
In Cameroon, it is called "cutmanjo". Where do you live? It might have a local name where you live.
Nigeria
At what point do you add carrots add/or green beans
You could add those at the end just before you turn off the heat.
Can i use palmoil
I think that will work.
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
this stew looks a lot like Haitian fish in red sauce , only thing is we don't use ginger.
What is the green leave please?
Basil.
What kind of fish should I get ?
Any firm fish like mackerel, round scad fish or croaker. Hope this helps.
@@PreciousKitchen Yes thank you
Don't say cameroonian fish stew. Cos not all cameroonians use the same recipe to make fish stew.
If you have a daughter who can cook as u let me marry her
