Hello Precious, I love your channel and how you cook. You remind me of me and my mum when we used to cook. I always refer people to your channel because I've not had so much videos yet. You make me proud !
My mouth is watery. I should not have watch this video. This is one of my favorite food. I haven't ate it for more than 15 years. Thank for sharing this video. This will be my holiday comfort food.
Hello Precious Ekwang is my traditional meal, we will usually put the Kontry onions last to give it that aroma. I have not made Ekwang for a while getting the leaves abroad is like a miracle. Delicious meal, this is my first meal I am planning to eat when I travel home.
interesting straight to the point video...i am planning on making ewang this weekend so i needed some revision lessons since it's been long i made one. thanks for sharing
Sister that your juicer is amazing. I love seasoning salt. Where did you find cocoyam leaf. Loving the pan. Tell me about a labor of love and you can never have enough. There is no ekwang without contri onions. I enjoyed it.
Do you find little particulars when you use the juicer to purée the cocoyam? Because I get quite a bit of particulars when used the a juicer and I end up using the blender to purée it again. Double work.
Oh my goodness, you made me miss home today. Ekpang Nkwukwo is my best dish and yes I remember how rich and delicious this dish is. Thanks for sharing my best dish Precious Kitchen, God bless you.
Ekwang is the best , it taste far better when eaten with the hands , plus it's tasteis truely gotten when eaten warm not hot . So eat when warm. Don't forget eat with the hands for exstra taste.
Precious: We call it Ekpang nkukwo ikpong in Ibibio; Ekpang connotes a kind of wrap, nkukwo is the very tender sprout of the cocoyam leaves and finally, ikpong means cocoyam. We share similar culture / ancestry with Western Cameroon I believe.
I used to think wrapping ekwang is a herculean tasks until I lived in Buea and my southwest friends from Tiko did it like no man's business in little to no time. I then learned and became an expert. Unfortunately there's no explanation on how to do it quick but I think u get better and faster with practice. It's no longer too much work for me. Thanks lady P for yet another dish on my weekend menu. Ekwang on my mind for tomorrow's meal. Love love 💘
Precious hi! Do you have better luck finding these long taro root in farmers markets or oriental markets? The mainstream grocery stores carry the small/round root which doesn’t work in making Ekwang.
@@PreciousKitchen hello sis ,I say your fermented fufu and I did as you said but mine doesn't fermented and add baking soda as well I check after 3 days but still strong.pls what should I do again thank you.
Hi Precious I am your fan. I have always had a problem of getting an appliance for grating the cocoyams. I bought a similar appliance like the one you used in the video but it didn't grating the cocoyams smooth. Can you advice me on what to buy? Thanks
This would taste so yummy if you even put the cocoyam roles, salt, coconut cream, chili pepper, ginger, onion and fish maybe even corned beef. I wonder if you could do this with yam, plantain or green banana! With slices of okra thrown in....omg my mouth is watering!! Your cooking looks delicious!
The people of the Oroko tribe in Cameroon call it "Ekpang." It is their traditional dish, and they are the originators. I honestly don't know how Non-Orokos in Cameroon came up with the name "ekwang"
Hi my darling sis, you will not kill me with your tasting skills, you are too much, nice one again my lady, the end result kept my mouth watery💦 and licking😋😋😋, keep up the great job you are doing, the Lord is your strength 💪🏽 amen

Hi, unfortunately I don't know where you could find contri onions in Nigeria. Another name for it is rondelles if that helps.
If you're in Lagos, you can get it any market that sells spices or at oyingbo market
I used a juicer but could still have some particulars not completely purée. I had to use my blender to process again. Have u had such experience?
