  • In pharmaceutical manufacturing particle contaminations can lead to critical complications and usually, the root cause of these kind of product damages must be tracked.
    Our application scientist uses the LUMOS II FT-IR imaging microscope, briefly describes the sample and explains every step of the analysis from the particle statistics to the identification of unknowns.

    What are those rod particles, it is weird to see so many rod particles.

      As you can imagine, we cannot disclose all information for customer related samples - which is a challenge for these videos! But one possible explanation could be, that the sample was "spiked" with a specific contamination to test the abilities of the microscope. Hope this helps!
