How can technology help us secure the future of the Okavango Basin?
Since its first expedition in 2015, the National Geographic Okavango Wilderness Project has used vital tools and techniques to document 52 new species and over 81 species potentially unknown to science.
From drones - vital in mapping out a region about which much is still unknown scientifically - to eDNA - allowing wildlife surveys to be conducted quickly and efficiently - the latest technology is being leveraged as part of #OkavangoEternal to help build a case for conserving the Okavango Basin.
Now that De Beers has joined @natgeo, research is accelerating, and exciting new findings await.
