Big fan of Skull Island, would easily be at #1 for me. Other than that, depends on the day. Still need to see the New Empire though
Skull Island is aa great modern adventure movie, feels like a goofy Apocalypse Now with a huge monkey. You'll have to let me know what you think of The New Empire. Thanks for watching, dude!

@@SullyStreams For me it's because the movie suffers from too many chefs in one kitchen syndrome. There's way too many human characters and too many monsters to give us a well fleshed out story. I think the movie would've been way better if you take Rodan out and all the human characters and made Dr. Serizowa the main character since he was by far the most intriguing character in the first film outside of Joe Brody.
Also Ghidorah wasn't built up properly especially after Godzilla nearly beat him in the water. We all know Godzilla has to defeat Ghidorah because GvK needs to happen but the payoff wasn't worth it because I didn't feel that Ghidorah was more powerful than Godzilla.

Great list man I’ll be honest very different from my list as I watched all the movies and reviewed them for Godzilla X Kong and King of monster I prefer over the originally Godzilla as I enjoyed the Titan battle more but the top 2 really are amazing movie def the best of the franchise great ranking
I wish I enjoyed my time with King of the Monsters more, but I really can't stand the first 40 minutes of the film and the human characters. Guess it's just not for me. Glad you love the top two choices as much as I do though. Thanks for watching, dude!

I loved new empire just because it was sooooooo fun. While I really loved Kong Skull island I though the Godzilla Vs or X Kong is just more fun. Great Ranking!

@@SullyStreams Thank you, yours’ is sick too! Also Godzilla Vs Kong has exactly what I want when going into these movies, fun action and good rewatch ability, and I think it’s the most rewatch able of the franchise.
Skull island is underrated, so I’m glad it was so high. But Kotm was really good idk why it’s at the bottom.
Absolutely love Skull Island! KOTM seems to be a huge hit with massive Godzilla fans, which is probably why it doesn't resonate with me as much as others on the list. My history with the character is limited to the 1954 original, the 1998 version, Minus One, and the MonsterVerse. I want to start watching more of the films though. Thanks for checking out the video!

Personally i think that the new movie was interrupted by the ewi for 30 mins but the fighting there was insane and when kong knocked out one of skar kings teeth he laughed at him for kaughing when komg had thebsilver tooth there is a lot of emotion in the new movie i personally would rank it 2nd and gvk 3rd only because i liked the fact that there was a lot of fighting and a lot of story about kong a godzilla 1st is kong skull island because we as fans get yo kaern so much baskstory about kong and who he really is we laern he was abandoned and is the protecter and the was so much emotion in his eyes and the visual omg they were slot on holy And dont let me forget when we get the helicopter shot of kong IT WAS AMAZING

Hard to not put them at the top. Two of my lifelong favorite characters together:). I'm really hoping they do some kinda prequel movie explaining the scar king and shimo origins. How he took control and maybe some of the war between the Zilla and kongs. Finish up the series with an all out battle royal with all monsters going at it. Team Godzilla vs team Gidhora
Godzilla KOTM is my #1 as a Heisei lover. Upgraded his appearance perfectly, included old roars, and most importantly, included the old Godzilla soundtrack! #2 Skull Island #3 GvK #4 GxK #5 2014

I think the reason KOTM is in last place for me is that those easter eggs don't resonate with me all that much since my Godzilla history is limited to the 1954 original, the 1998 version, Minus One, and the MonsterVerse. I dont understand why people hate KOTM and GxK. KOTM is goated and GxK is full of fun titan brawl. GxK 1st, Kotm 2nd, GvK 3rd, Kong SI 4th, Godzilla 5th
I really think it has to do with the fact that I don't have a massive history with the character of Godzilla. I've really only seen the 1954 original, the 1998 version, Godzilla Minus One, and all of the MonsterVerse. It seems like a lot of diehard fans really like KOTM, so maybe that's the disconnect for me. Thanks for watching!

I rank first two movies: Godzilla (2014) and Skull Island the highest. They are still semi grounded in reality, have glimpses of good human characters and sell the size of the monsters and threat li ked with them very well.

We're five movies deep. Can we really call it consistent yet? I just hope we get a variety of grounded (Godzilla 2014) vs not so much (GvK). We need variety or else it will grow stale.

I need to rewatch them before I'm really certain about this ranking, but now I'm going with Kong Skull Island, Godzilla, Godzilla King of the Monsters, and Godzilla vs Kong coming in last. I haven't seen the new one so I don't have an opinion on it yet. What I really want is a much darker version of these movies without the comic relief stuff. I would be all for a straight-up horror version of Godzilla and Kong.
You know I would never complain about them bringing the horror aspects back to the franchise. The IP is so fast that they could definitely branch off and do a film or two in that realm. Thanks for watching, JM!

@@SullyStreams Honestly I think it just checked all the boxes for me personally as a Godzilla fan. I've wanted a CGI Hollywood Ghidorah since I was a kid, and I finally got it in KotM. Godzilla is peak in that movie too IMO
@@SullyStreamsit’s the most accurate the Monsterverse has felt to an old heisei movie and seeing rodan, mothra and ghidorah all evolved in Hollywood CGI is perfect. It also has the most memorable moments from all movies in my opinion. Pretty much every frame could be a screenshot
agree, kong skull island is the only film where the human characters are actually likable + almost all the scenes are shot in daylight. KOTM has both annoying humans all over and ugly visuals where everything is filmed at night. the only thing i wont agree is that godzilla 2014 is better then KOTM. at least KOTM have alot of monster scenes. godzilla 2014 both beraly have monster scenes, has ugly visuals, everything is shot at night, the humans are annoying and boring. its plain garbage. godzilla 2014 is just a bad movie
KOTM is just a bad movie, 2014 is actually decent. KOTM has some of the worst humans in all of the godzilla franchise because its a serious movie. At least the bad human characters in most godzilla films are showa era fun. 2014 had pretty well fleshed out characters that got the job done, it wasn't oscar winning acting but it was decent.
KOTM was by far the worst. Shit writing, annoying ass characters, and bad direction. However, the action was absolutely badass
Completely agree, that's why it's a pretty frustrating experience. The pacing and the time spent with the human characters is brutal, but all of the actual monster stuff is some of the best of the entire franchise. Which is your favorite movie of the bunch? Thanks for watching!
