Princess Mononoke is my all time favourite❤❤❤ I watched it first time as teenager and it made such a big impact on me. After that movie I started looking differently at our world and everything that is around us
I really wasn't expecting much from it, but I has an absolute blast with it. Last time I ever go into a movie doubting Miyazaki, what was I thinking? What are your top 3 favorite films from him? Thanks for watching!
Bit late to the comments but still: 1. Kiki's delivery service 2. My neighbour Totoro 3. Nausicaä 4. Princess Mononoke 5. Spirited away 6. The Boy and the Heron 7. Howl's moving castle (I live the soundtrack and the whole scenery, the story just isn't my cup of tea) I see that Kiki and Totoro aren't that high up in most lists. I think that for me, those two hold a very special place in my heart due to difficult situations while growing up (bullying, grandmother suicide, father absent for more than a year due to clinical stay because of depression etc.). I don't remember much of my childhood and honestly don't think I've had much of it after the age of 11. Now that my mom's been diagnosed with cancer, my neighbour Totoro hits even more. Those two films on one side make me sad, because I see what I have missed, but they also make up for it, at least a little bit. (as for the rest I still need to watch them. I haven't met studio Ghibli until 3 years ago and have only watched non-miyazaki films apart from those I listed)
Isn’t that crazy? In my head when I knew I wanted to make this video I was like “oh no, that’s gonna be so many movies.” But was pretty surprised when I realized he’s only actually directed 12 films. What’s your favorite one by him? Thanks for watching!

Spirited Away is a flat out masterpiece (and you know I almost never use that word). Let me know what you think of The Boy and the Heron, there's a lot to unpack there. Thanks for watching, dude!

@@SullyStreams I was introduced to Ghibli in my 20s and Howl's Moving Castle was my first. Something about Castle in the sky just makes me feel like a kid again and makes me smile each time I watch it. I love stories with ancient high tech civilizations above the clouds and the sky pirates always make me laugh.
So glad you ranked Nausicaa as #2, as a fellow SciFi fan I loved it for that reason too. Plants becoming sentient and massive to boot reminds of the excellent book Semiosis by Sue Burke.
Yeah I absolutely love Nausicaa, I feel like if you ask me on a certain day it could easily be at the top of my list. I've never heard of that book before, I'll have to put it on my list. Also, there's a new animated show called Scavengers Reign streaming on Max that I think you'll love if you're a huge fan of that kind of stuff. Thanks for watching!
I think whatever everyone's list is, at least the top 5 are all gonna be 10/10 so the order doesn't matter too much. Laputa Castle in the sky is GOATed though, but I agree nostalgia plays a big part as it was my first anime
Great list man! I really need to rewatch some of these especially Valley of the Wind I've only seen that one once. And yeah Spirited Away is just PERFECT!
Highly suggest giving that one a rewatch, I think I'm a little bit biased since it was the first Miyazaki I ever watched but I think it's really something special. Thanks for watching, dude!
My own personal Miyazaki list (I adore them all) 1. Spirited Away 2. Kiki's Delivery Service 3. Ponyo 4. Howl's Moving Castle 5. My Neighbor Totoro 6. Princess Mononoke 7. The Boy and the Heron 8. Porco Rosso 9. The Castle in the Sky 10. The Wind Rises. I've excluded The Castle of Cagliostro because I've only seen it once a long time ago (I was surprised at how fun it is but found the plot a bit lacking) and Nausicaa of the Valkey of the Wind, which used to be one of my very favourite Ghibli films, but agter reading the manga I'll never be able to see it in the same way, so I prefer to leave it out
@@SullyStreams Thanks :) The movie is incredibly gorgeous, and it has a chill/good feel vibe like Totoro that I absolutely love, and I really love the all the characters, some like Ponyo's father or the cranky grandma are hilarious and very endearing imo
I love that you have that personal connection to the film! Do you also have The Wind Rises ranked highly because of those aspects too? Thanks for watching, Connor!
Great video for a relative newcomer to Miyazaki's magic. In the '80s I saw Nausicaa and Laputa but nothing else. I bought a 24-movie DVD set so am wading in. I notice many people call Laputa "Castle in the Sky," which I guess is like younger people saying "A New Hope" instead of Star Wars. I betray my age. I learned a lot and am primed to enjoy all the full-length movies in the set and what I'm guessing are short films (Panda Kopanda, Tales from Earth, Grave of Fireflies, etc.).

1. Howl's Moving Castle - my favourite film of all time 2. Spirited Away 3. My Neighbor Totoro 4. Princess Mononoke 5. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind & Castle in the Sky (need to rewatch them and refresh my memory because I barely remember them, I only remember loving them and that I preferred them over Kiki's Delivery Service and Ponyo) 6. Kiki's Delivery Service 7. Ponyo But they're defininitely all great (only watched 8 of his films so far)

Ooh I feel like having Howl's Moving Castle at the bottom is a hot take. Talk to me, what didn't work for you about the film? Thanks for watching the video, Benjamin!
@@SullyStreams Well, since you asked, I just re-watched Howl’s Moving Castle and it’s not a bad movie, but just not a great one. I still consider it overrated and one of Miyazaki‘s weaker films. It has good animation, great visuals and some nice moments but the romance between Sophie and Howl was kind of forced and having her fall in love with him while she was transformed into an old lady was kind of awkward and uncomfortable. The moments between them when she’s young are better and I like it more when she’s young. Also the story is a mess. It’s all over the place and not very focused. Also the anti-war message was handled poorly. It was very unsubtle and pretty on the nose and obvious, they could’ve told the message in a more subtle and complex way.
I have to say that I'm kind of stunned by where you ranked The Boy and the Heron on your list, dude...But in all seriousness, you should give this guy's filmography a watch. Outside of Lupin III, I think they're all streaming on Max. Thanks for watching, man!
1. Spirited Away 2. Princess Mononoke 3. Howls Moving Castle 4. Castle in the Sky 5. My Neighbor Totoro 6. Nausicaa 7. Porco Rosso 8. The Boy and the Heron 9. Lupin 10. Kikis 11. Ponyo 12. The Wind rises
Awesome list! What do you think it is about The Wind Rises that has you putting it last in your rankings? It's very low for me as well, but curious hearing more opinions on it. Thanks for watching!
can somebody PLEASE EXPLAIN the plot of the boy and the heron, cause i didn't get anything after watching that movie. was mahito in the afterlife or not?
This is mine: 1. Princess Mononoke 2. My Neighbor Totoro 3. Spirited Away 4. The Boy and the Heron 5. Kiki’s Delivery Service 6. Castle in the Sky 7. Ponyo 8. Porco Rosso 9. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind 10. Howl’s Moving Castle 11. The Wind Rises I haven’t seen The Castle of Cagliostro, so I couldn’t rank it. I definitely need to rewatch of his films, so my ranking might be completely different.

Should watch it again though) 12: Cagliostro (haven’t seen it)
Great list! Highly suggest watching The Castle of Cagliostro, I went into it not expecting much and had an absolute blast with it. Thanks for watching, Elias!
1. Princess Mononoke 2. Spirited Away 3. Howl’s Moving Castle 4. Nausicaa Valley of the Wind 5. Ponyo 6. My Neighbor Totoro 7. Kiki’s Delivery Service 8. The Boy and the Heron 9. The Wind Rises 10. Porco Rosso Haven’t seen the other two. May need to rewatch some of the above but ranking them as I remember them
I definitely enjoy my time with that one, but it's not a film I really go back to. I'm due for a rewatch of it soon though, maybe my opinions will change. Thanks for checking out my ranking!
I haven't seen them all, but of the ones I have seen, this is how I'd rank them (and I'm ranking them by personal enjoyment and not strictly quality, although I think a credible argument can be made that my #1 is the best): 1. Princess Mononoke 2. Spirited Away 3. Howl's Moving Castle 4. Naussicaa: Valley of the Wind 5. Castle in the Sky 6. Kiki's Delivery Service 7. My Neighbor Totoro 8. Porco Rosso
Oh you can definitely make the argument that Princess Mononoke is the best of the bunch, it’s a fantasy epic! Great list, love seeing Nausicaä in the top 5. Thanks for watching, Tyler!
After much deliberation, here is my list. I enjoy them all, but some Not as much: 12. The Wind Rises (too pro-Japanese during war time while ignoring heinous crimes against other nations) 11. The Boy and the Heron (very boring first 1/3rd, but amazing afterwards barring some minor disjointed segments) 10. Lupin 9. Ponyo 8. Porco Rosso (had more depth than the video creator lead on) 7. Kiki’s Delivery Service 6. Naussica and the valley of Wind 5. Totoro 4. Laputa (and I watched it for the first time when I was 29 - a long time ago) 3. Spirited Away (perfection, but just not as mature as the next two) 2. Howl’s Moving Castle (in Japanese only… didn’t like the English dubs in this one over the perfect Japanese voice acting 1. Princess Mononoke - flawless and incredible
Castle in the Sky is easily the best. As a symbolic allegory it nails it. Seconded only by Princess Mononoke. Saying that should give you some idea of how highly I rate it. If I had to pick a third place I'd go with Whisper of the Heart. Followed by Spirited Away. Which isn't a bad film i just prefer some of the others. Kiki, Howl and Totoro are all kinda tied with each other after that. The others are further down the list. I guess i'm not really much of a fan of Nausicaa. Still need to see The boy and the Heron.
What do you think it is about Castle in the Sky that has you ranking it so highly? I definitely enjoy that one, but want to hear why it rises above the rest for you. Thanks for watching!
@@SullyStreams As I said: It's a Symbolic Allegory. The story of "The Girl who Fell from The Sky" may be much, much older than we realize. In my opinion, I believe that what we are looking at is a retelling of one of the oldest stories of all of mankind. A story that pre-dates the Babylonians. A rendition of the story of the goddess Ishtar "The girl who fell from the sky". That may even be as old as the bronze-age collapse. There are some references to this throughout the film. From the symbolism used during the introductory credits, or the metaphors used to refer to such things as the "flying city" or "City among the clouds", the Robot Warriors, or the Aetherium Crystal. (The scene with Uncle Pom telling them the significance of it has always been one of my favorite scenes.) In this way you are watching one of the oldest/original stories about God, (or Gods) that has ever been brought to film. An allegorical representation of the story of Heaven, as seen through the eyes of another culture. And for that reason it is extremely powerful. There is even more allegorical information that is locked away in this film that relates to metallurgy and Alchemy which I won't delve much deeper into here, but suffice to say that everything in the film happens for a reason... Symbolically. (Pazu, being a miner, getting imprisoned, rescuing Sheeta, them going into the clouds together, finding heaven, and the lessons they learn along the way. It's all deeply seeped in meaning.) That is why I like it so much. Princess Mononoke is also similarly a symbolic allegory, also having to do with metallurgy, alchemy and our relationship with God (So is Spirited Away for that matter) And I like and enjoy all 3 There's just something about Castle that nudges it just a little bit higher for me. Maybe it's the animation style being just the right amount of vintage. Although don't get me wrong. we're talking like only a hair above Princess Mononoke (The half human Half God, daughter of the white wolf - There's some symbolism for you... I won't tell you what it means, that is a journey only you can go on. I will only point out that it is there... Only adding that these may represent some of the most culturally significant information to Japan that they have ever exported to the rest of the world in this form.) This is why I can't wait to see The Boy and the Heron as I believe this will also follow in this tradition of symbolic allegory. (Nausicaa is also surely influenced by it but meh... Not my favorite) I hope that helps a little. And Merry Christmas!
nice list. I saw the heron movie last night from 9 to like 11:30 pm. i was a little sleepy, i don't know if thats why but i think i have to rewatch it again as it was semi confusing. it was beautiful.
Dude Miyazaki's filmography is so hard to rank it's not even funny. Where do you think The Boy and the Heron lands in your rankings after seeing it for the first time? Thanks for watching!
1. Princess Mononoke 2. Spirited Away 3. My Neighbour Totoro 4. The Boy & The Heron 5. The Wind Rises ( I have no time for people who don't like this movie) 6. Howls Moving Castle 7. Kiki's Delivery Service 8. The Castle In The Sky 9. Ponyo 10. Nausicaa of the Valkey of the Wind 11. Porco Rosso
I haven't see The Boy and the heron yet. I live in Perú and it will realese in January. Mi top: Princess mononoke Spirited away The wind rises( i agree that its not the first one i would see, but i think its one of his best) Mi neighbor Totoro Howl's moving castle Porco Rosso Ponyo Kiki's delivery service Castle in the sky Naussica from the valley of the wind ( i need to rewatch this one) Cagliostro( i really loved this one, but the rest of his movies are just too) great)
Awesome list! Looking forward to seeing where The Boy and the Heron ends up in your ranking. You should definitely give Nausicaa another go, one of my favorites. Thanks for watching!
Love that top 3! And I think if you like all of Miyazaki's films, you'll definitely enjoy The Boy and the Heron. Middle of the road for me, but there's still a lot about it to love!
The question is, how can you be let down by a Miyazaki film? He's as flawless of an auteur as they come. You can really only compare him to himself because he's at the top of the genre.
My top 2 are Howel's Moving Castle and Spirited Away. Great list though! I just saw The Boy And The Heron tonight and enjoyed it a lot. I feel I'd put it roughly where you did rank wise in the list as well.
Can't argue with having those two at the top! Glad you enjoyed The Boy and the Heron too. Here's an interesting question I like asking people though, which Miyazaki film is your least favorite? Thanks for watching, Chris!
@SullyStreams For me, I think my least favorite is Porco Rosso. Not that I dislike it by any means, but I just never had a desire to rewatch it again. It didn't have the same impact on me as, say, Castle in the Sky or My Neighbor Totoro, for example.
1. Spirited away 2. Howl's moving castle 3. Nausicaa 4. Ponyo 5. Castle in the sky 6. Princess Mononoke If I could rank them all at #1, I would do that. 7. Porco Rosso 8. My neighbour Totoro They're good but I wouldn't rewatch them. 9. Kiki's delivery service Too simple for Miyazaki in my opinion. 10. The wind rises Sadly it's not Miyazaki for me. The last two I didn't watch yet and I hope they will as good as I expect from Hayao :)
I would pretty much have everything in the same order except for princess mononoke would be moved to first place everything else would be pushed back by one space and Howl's moving castle would be pushed all the way to the very bottom.
He's only worked on 12 films?? I could swear that he worked on every Gihbli movie. They all have his charm on them To be fair I've only watched Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbour Toroto, Howl's Moving Castle, The Cat Returns, and a bit of The Tale of Princess Kaguya so what do I know
The boy was the first!? Well now fathom events has a studio Ghibli fest at most movie theaters every year now. I got to take my kids to see princess and Kiki a few years ago. Now I get to see Totoro this year.
Even though it’s not close to my favorite Miyazaki movie, I think the romance he depicts in The Wind Rises might be the most emotional one he’s done in my opinion. Also think those aspects work well (but in a different way) in Howl’s Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. Which ones works for you the most?
Hard for me to decide to be honest because in this case I usually agree with whatever the majority of fans think is the best I liked castle in the sky that one comes to mind as one I like
Dealing with a death in your family, step parent, moving to a new place etc. yeah I guess the boy and the heron doesn’t really have any relatable emotional situations…
I meant the literal emotional ramifications of your father marrying your late mother's sister in today's day and age...But thanks for the comment, brainiac
I respect you putting nausicaä that high. Though I can’t agree with that bc that movie made me throw up. Also, howls moving castle is terrible, and blank. And my neighbor Totoro is good and heartwarming but could have used a lot more. One more thing, I’m so surprised with where u put the boy and the heron. That movie was a masterpiece.
Good ranking! I can't agree though. Nausicaa is not that good for me and Howl's Moving Castle is also way to high even if I like it, the ending is really fast paced and kinda deux ex machina. The Wind Rises and The Boy and the Heron should be higher instead for me.
@@SullyStreams honestly I rank my top 4 something like this. 1. Howls moving castle 2. Spirited Away 3. Monoke 4. Boy heron But I love that you made this video!! Hayao is an amazing director and this movie had so many personal elements in it. You can view him as the creator of the world or even as the boy. Knowing Hayao back story makes the movie even better
@@BCGraphixArt Awesome to see how highly you have Heron ranked! Maybe I’ll get there after a couple of rewatches. Thanks for checking out the video, dude!
@@SullyStreams for me it's impossible to rank them as some movies really are basically perfect and if I look at them objectively I can't say one is better then the other. But if I had to put them in tiers I would say Porco Rosso belongs in the S tier alongside Spirited away and The boy and the heron
The wind rises is based on the story of real life person; Jiro, who created the airplanes in 35's to 45's in Japan. I watched that movie recently, wasn't that bad. I felt sad at the end of it (not gonna spoil it). Toutching story.
I definitely liked it, Miyazaki is pretty much incapable of making a bad movie. But it's also one of his films that I want to revisit the least, I just don't find a lot of rewatchability there. Which is your favorite of his films? Thanks for checking out the ranking!
It is really hard to make a difference between those movies. The films studio Gibli and Miyazaki makes are hudge mind and feeling moving piece of art. I think Japanese art, anime and videogames are beautiful, because they put lots of efforts into their work. I truly respect that, it's really admirable. 😌
I don't know, I am just not that of a fan of Princess Mononoke. I think it was very confusing, the main character had massive knowledge of things he couldn't have known and San (for me) was just SO annoying... but I also have a bit bias against active intependent, "I-can-do-everything" women so... yeah :D
Haha I'm sorry, I actually need to give it a rewatch soon. Maybe that will raise my opinion of it. What does your top 3 looks like?

My own personal Miyazaki list (I adore them all)
1. Spirited Away
2. Kiki's Delivery Service
3. Ponyo
4. Howl's Moving Castle
5. My Neighbor Totoro
6. Princess Mononoke
7. The Boy and the Heron
8. Porco Rosso
9. The Castle in the Sky
10. The Wind Rises.
I've excluded The Castle of Cagliostro because I've only seen it once a long time ago (I was surprised at how fun it is but found the plot a bit lacking) and Nausicaa of the Valkey of the Wind, which used to be one of my very favourite Ghibli films, but agter reading the manga I'll never be able to see it in the same way, so I prefer to leave it out
Awesome list! What do you think it is about Ponyo that has you ranking it so highly? Thanks for watching!
@@SullyStreams Thanks :)
The movie is incredibly gorgeous, and it has a chill/good feel vibe like Totoro that I absolutely love, and I really love the all the characters, some like Ponyo's father or the cranky grandma are hilarious and very endearing imo
Terrible list
Castle in the sky 9? Go away
Pork Rosso will always be #1 in my heart both as italian and an aviator

I have the exact same list wth😭
Great ranking. Kind of shocking! Our top 3 are almost the same 👊👍.
I knew you'd like my top 3, Peter! Have you gotten a chance to see The Boy and the Heron yet? Thanks for watching, dude!

Hey thanks so much for watching. What do you think your favorite Miyazaki film is?
As someone who has just seen The Boy and the Heron.. here is my very controversial, very surprising, and difficult ranking:
1. The Boy and the Heron
I have to say that I'm kind of stunned by where you ranked The Boy and the Heron on your list, dude...But in all seriousness, you should give this guy's filmography a watch. Outside of Lupin III, I think they're all streaming on Max. Thanks for watching, man!
@@SullyStreams I definitely will! Planning on checking out Spirited Away (finally) tonight

Castle in the Sky is so low. Princess Mononoke is number one to me
1. Spirited Away
2. Princess Mononoke
3. Howls Moving Castle
4. Castle in the Sky
5. My Neighbor Totoro
6. Nausicaa
7. Porco Rosso
8. The Boy and the Heron
9. Lupin
10. Kikis
11. Ponyo
Wind Rises and Castle in the Sky are top tier for me. Legit close to Spirited Away. I consider them underrated.
This is mine:
1. Princess Mononoke
2. My Neighbor Totoro
3. Spirited Away
4. The Boy and the Heron
5. Kiki’s Delivery Service
6. Castle in the Sky
7. Ponyo
8. Porco Rosso
9. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
10. Howl’s Moving Castle
11. The Wind Rises
I haven’t seen The Castle of Cagliostro, so I couldn’t rank it. I definitely need to rewatch of his films, so my ranking might be completely different.
Awesome list! I feel you though, when I went back and rewatched them before filming this I think my rankings changed a lot. Highly suggest The Castle of Cagliostro, it's a total blast. Thanks for watching!
Moving castle and nausicaä do low! Scandalous!
@@EliasBremer my opinion of them might change when I rewatch them again, but the others just hit me different 😅

How do you have Howl's moving castle at 6??? It's one of my favorites man. Cool list!
I definitely enjoy my time with that one, but it's not a film I really go back to. I'm due for a rewatch of it soon though, maybe my opinions will change. Thanks for checking out my ranking!
I haven't seen them all, but of the ones I have seen, this is how I'd rank them (and I'm ranking them by personal enjoyment and not strictly quality, although I think a credible argument can be made that my #1 is the best):
1. Princess Mononoke
2. Spirited Away
3. Howl's Moving Castle
4. Naussicaa: Valley of the Wind
5. Castle in the Sky
6. Kiki's Delivery Service
7. My Neighbor Totoro
8. Porco Rosso
Oh you can definitely make the argument that Princess Mononoke is the best of the bunch, it’s a fantasy epic! Great list, love seeing Nausicaä in the top 5. Thanks for watching, Tyler!
After much deliberation, here is my list. I enjoy them all, but some Not as much:
12. The Wind Rises (too pro-Japanese during war time while ignoring heinous crimes against other nations)
11. The Boy and the Heron (very boring first 1/3rd, but amazing afterwards barring some minor disjointed segments)
10. Lupin
9. Ponyo
8. Porco Rosso (had more depth than the video creator lead on)
7. Kiki’s Delivery Service
6. Naussica and the valley of Wind
5. Totoro
4. Laputa (and I watched it for the first time when I was 29 - a long time ago)
3. Spirited Away (perfection, but just not as mature as the next two)
2. Howl’s Moving Castle (in Japanese only… didn’t like the English dubs in this one over the perfect Japanese voice acting
(The scene with Uncle Pom telling them the significance of it has always been one of my favorite scenes.)
In this way you are watching one of the oldest/original stories about God, (or Gods) that has ever been brought to film.
It's all deeply seeped in meaning.)
That is why I like it so much.
Princess Mononoke is also similarly a symbolic allegory, also having to do with metallurgy, alchemy and our relationship with God (So is Spirited Away for that matter) And I like and enjoy all 3
There's just something about Castle that nudges it just a little bit higher for me.
Only adding that these may represent some of the most culturally significant information to Japan that they have ever exported to the rest of the world in this form.)
This is why I can't wait to see The Boy and the Heron as I believe this will also follow in this tradition of symbolic allegory.
(Nausicaa is also surely influenced by it but meh... Not my favorite)
I hope that helps a little.
And
Merry Christmas!
nice list. I saw the heron movie last night from 9 to like 11:30 pm. i was a little sleepy, i don't know if thats why but i think i have to rewatch it again as it was semi confusing. it was beautiful.
i agree with your top 4 but i would switch 2 and 3 around, the rest of the list would be a lot different. i love them all though, hard to rank these.

Cagliostro( i really loved this one, but the rest of his movies are just too) great)

@@SullyStreams i will.
You’re like Chris stuckman but if he actually expressed real feelings
First time I've gotten that, but I'll take it
Princess mono, spirited away, and nausicaa. Top 3 in that order. Scared to watch the boy and the heron. Don't want to be let down
Love that top 3!
@@chriswilkinson8045 I'm with you on that one, it's very low on my list of Miyazaki movies that I have a desire to watch often
1. Spirited away
2. Howl's moving castle
3. Nausicaa
4. Ponyo
5. Castle in the sky
6. Princess Mononoke
If I could rank them all at #1, I would do that.
7. Porco Rosso
8. My neighbour Totoro
They're good but I wouldn't rewatch them.
9. Kiki's delivery service
Too simple for Miyazaki in my opinion.
10. The wind rises
Sadly it's not Miyazaki for me.
The last two I didn't watch yet and I hope they will as good as I expect from Hayao :)
I would pretty much have everything in the same order except for princess mononoke would be moved to first place everything else would be pushed back by one space and Howl's moving castle would be pushed all the way to the very bottom.
I agree about Ponyo being last.
He's only worked on 12 films?? I could swear that he worked on every Gihbli movie. They all have his charm on them
To be fair I've only watched Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbour Toroto, Howl's Moving Castle, The Cat Returns, and a bit of The Tale of Princess Kaguya so what do I know
I agree with your order of the only 3 I've seen (spirited away, howls, monoke)
Love to see it! Highly suggest checking out Spirited Away and Nausicaa if you're interested, they're streaming on Max
I like all of the others I've seen, but I love these 3.
FYI, watch closely. The cat bus has balls!
The boy was the first!? Well now fathom events has a studio Ghibli fest at most movie theaters every year now. I got to take my kids to see princess and Kiki a few years ago. Now I get to see Totoro this year.
What did you think of the romances in some of them
Even though it’s not close to my favorite Miyazaki movie, I think the romance he depicts in The Wind Rises might be the most emotional one he’s done in my opinion. Also think those aspects work well (but in a different way) in Howl’s Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. Which ones works for you the most?
Hard for me to decide to be honest because in this case I usually agree with whatever the majority of fans think is the best I liked castle in the sky that one comes to mind as one I like
Switch nausicaa and princess Mononoke and I’d fully agree
Spirited Away on top as it should be!

@@SullyStreams honestly I rank my top 4 something like this. 1. Howls moving castle 2. Spirited Away 3. Monoke 4. Boy heron
But I love that you made this video!!
Porco Rosso is underrated
Where does it fall in your rankings? Thanks for watching!
@@Ratmiss796 Couldn’t have said it better myself!
I don't know, I am just not that of a fan of Princess Mononoke. I think it was very confusing, the main character had massive knowledge of things he couldn't have known and San (for me) was just SO annoying... but I also have a bit bias against active intependent, "I-can-do-everything" women so... yeah :D
what about firefly
Not Miyazaki.
