Hi dear teacher. I do hope you feel awesome ! When it comes to talking about your philosophy of life I would say we’re definitely speaking the same language : simplicity and genuinity. Enjoy your week. Thankfully Cori
I'm just a simple person. I'll be honest, I was a bit different when I was younger, but age and health problems have made me more thankful for life and given me a desire to help people more. 😎🍁🐦
Keep up the good job so we can keep up with the changes in the language. In the past, In some cultures some people would choose a wife since the day she is born she would be spoken for somebody and almost everyone knows it and would avoid asking for her hand when she gets older to stay away from trouble. And sometimes when the girl gets older she also starts to like the same person she has be spoken for so she speaks the same language

Hi, Bob. First of all I would like to thank you for your awesome lessons. Could you please tell me if is it possible (or usual) to ask someone to reserve something for me using the verb to speak, so that the thing will be spoken for?
Hello teacher Bob ,when I look at title of your certain videos, I always think these phrases are so unusual, but then in F.R.I.N.D.S. I get many of them and I say oh! they are so common!
I'm happy to hear that. I get all of my phrases from everyday conversations. I'm always on the lookout for phrases that native English speakers use when I'm talking to them, and then I write them down quickly so I can make a lesson about. It has left me thinking that English is a bit of a strange language! 🌳😎🐦
Thank you sir for the reply. I really enjoy your short lessons .They are short and smart and you make them interesting by giving everyday conversational examples.
Hi Bob, can "spoken for" be followed by an object, like for instance "sorry, this book is spoken for Mr. Brown" ? And can I use it with past tenses? like "Sorry, this book was spoken yesterday for Mr. Brown". Thanks!😍

Hi Bob, when a table has been booked in a restaurant, can the waiter say : « Sorry, this table has been spoken for? » Best!
I also thought about that. Let's wait for Mr. Bob's answer.
Yes, as you are walking in, you could say, "Can we sit here?" and the waiter could say, "No, sorry, that table is spoken for." 😎🍁🐦
@@bobsshortenglishlessons thanks a lot! 😍

It really depends. Usually only religious people use this, but when someone sneezes (Achoo!) almost every says it. (Or usually just "Bless you!") 😎🍁🐦

Hi teacher
I would like to ask you, what is the right among these:

Hi, if I understand "speaking my language" has the same meaning as the
"to be in the same page".
So one should make sure before courting any pretty lass that she might not appear to be spoken for.
Sometimes it's best to do a little bit of investigating beforehand! 😎🍁🐦
