I mean, it's not little body heat, he's drinking the blood of a being who's a walking furnace. Karlach was changed to burn constantly. She might no longer hurt whoever she touches, but he tried to drink her blood which I'm sure is completely different from her touch. when astarion bites gale when they are both in your party and it tastes like bile gale makes the comment he had a prepared spell that made his blood like that in case astarion did that
In what universe are they creatures of consent? Maybe in trashy teen romance novels, but not in the classic stories and definitely not in DND. The only 'consent' they need is to enter a home. That doesn't make them creatures of consent. That makes them more polite than some other monsters.
@@Kyra-qn3nh Well, to be fair, in original stories vampires are nothing even close to Bram Stoker's Dracula which is a core inspiration for almost all modern vampire myths(Instant death by the sunlinght is not one of them though, which is surprisingly faithful to original vampires of Slavic mythology. Talking about a novel, not the films). They are just walking corpses that lurk in the darkness and are weakened and exposed by the sunlight(not in a cringy Twilight fashion though. They are suposed to be hideous and corpse like),so they hate it and stay away from it, but they don't just burn out to a pile of ash. They engage in ritualistic behaviour(like visiting their home late at night and stalking their family, or even addressing them), ambushing their victims, killing their victims by strangling or drinking their blood. According to original mythology, the most effective way of destroying them is penetrating their skin with the hawthorn(or hawthorn stake, more ideally.), and even a scratch by a hawthorn is fatal to them. So, unlike Hollywood vampires, original ones were not even supposed to be charming, just terrifying ghoulish creatures who can't find peace in death. And they have even less consent than DnD or Hollywood vampires, as we established, they just repeat some things they enjoyed doing while they were alive in ritualistic fashion.
I honestly think Karlach would let him bite if she didn’t have the engine.
Karlach is so Kindness and pure.
"I feed on animals. Boars, deer, _kobolds!"_
Everyone always lets that line slip 😅
They’re pests/employees of Baldur’s Gate. They manage the sewers and fuck with the native Gnomes
He always says it in such a weird way, too. "Kobolds... >_>"
I really wished there was a dialogue option to let him try to bite and a separate one for the warning just before the teeth touch.
Same or one to let him burn his mouth and be like "I don't know what you expected"

@1:52 never noticed those arm veins on him, wow😍
Ooo i want to see this from Asterion's perspective too!!
In another video it shows you can pick on who to feast. When you select Karlach, the narrator goes "Nope" and you're brought back to the selection.
@@KethusNadroev Lol, rude but fair
I also had him try and use the Bite skill on her in-world and the result was hilarious 😅
Yeah. Vampires are creatures of consent. You try to bite me while I sleep, eff off. Sexy voice or not.
Not when it comes to biting, they’re not. They’ll bite whoever and whatever with impunity, unless it’s different in D&D lore.
