Peter is a great guitarist and this is a cool interpretation of an old standard. But damn. I am continually impressed by the trio. Emmet, Russell, and Kyle have amazing taste, chops, musicianship, and really listen to each other. Thanks again Emmet and crew for making 2020 and 2021 just a little more hip. Emmet, Russell, and Kyle are the best jazz trio I have ever heard and I've been actively listening to jazz for 30 years.

One thing the other greats from today need to learn from Peter is tone. Am I the only one that thinks they're missing this? Not that the more "classic" tone of Peter is required for this music, but my taste just isn't matching with so many of my favourite guitarists of today. They have all the vocab and story telling but it sounds to me like they prioritise individuality over sweetness and clarity. Peter has a sound I can listen to for hours. It's so pleasing to the ear.
