Next do two-way stops. Then merging along with a lane ending. I did not write these traffic rules but they work when everybody follows them. Somebody has to have the right-of-way. Not just making things up or not being polite following the rules. You can probably invert every traffic law including on what side of the road do you drive on it would work just as well but everybody would have to do it.

I understand that person on the right has the right of way. But what I get confused about is when the person on the left gets to the stop sign and COMPLETES their stop before the person on the right. Does the person on the right still get to go first? Cause it happens a lot where I’m at the line and completely stopped and the person on my right is like 4ft from the line and hasn’t fully stopped. I feel like that counts as me being there first but maybe not. Help!

In North Carolina the signs now say "all way" instead of "4-way". This makes perfect sense to me because intersections can have a different number of connecting roads than 4. But to some people this change is infuriating, which leaves me scratching my head.

I understand this video is 3 years old but, I need to point out the obvious in RIGHT-OF-WAY. The person to the RIGHT has the RIGHT OF WAY! haha couldn't have dumbed this down any further Steve haha.

In the picture Steve drew, supposing all vehicles came to the intersection at the same time, yes Steve would yield to the car on his right (one of the blue cars, the blue car to his right) and then as that blue car proceeds, if he drives straight through the intersection, as he does, and as he is about in the middle of the intersection, as the other blue car, the car to Steve's left, couldn't he make his left turn right past the backside, the rear of the other blue car, as this would not slow down Steve at all, because both cars would be using the intersection at the same time?....or would that be illegal?

I know but its incredible the amount of people that don’t know or don’t care. In the bad areas of Los Angeles people don’t stop for red lights either, or they stop and if there is no police the go ahead on red. Seriously is very very common

Thanks for doing this great video, Steve. Unfortunately, I think bad drivers don't watch these kinds of vids. I live in Mexico and the rules are the same, but drivers are pretty disrespectful down here and don't follow rules well. The good ones will approach a four-way at the same time and even if they have the right will wave you to go first anyways. I try to be one of those, less tension and less chance of accidents or being shot.

Thanks Steve This was common knowledge 55 year ago (when I started the drive) It's a shame you have to explain it to the moron drivers of today! Add to this to being on a motorcycle, We as riders give UP that right on a daily basis, in order to see the next day! Drivers do not care about YOUR rights, they only care about the 30 seconds they save by trampling on the rights of others!
