- Step by step instructions on how to change the lights in the analog clock on a 2001 Infiniti i30. I replaced them with Partsam 3mm 12v Blue LEDs I got from Amazon. Worked like a charm! The bulbs are T4 or T4.2 size 12v.

For anyone doing this to a 2002 I35, the only major difference is that there is no wiring in the air conditioning trim piece, it's just the vent. In my case the piece was pretty hard to pry out, but it can take a bit of a stretch. If it's never come out before, you might seperate the trim from the vents, but that's not a big deal. As far as removing the old bulbs, the housing should be taken out with a fairly small flathead - I used a precision screwdriver set that I happened to have. The housing's plastic will gouge fairly easily, so only turn it as far as it'll go easily. You can then flip it so the clock faces the roof, and knock them out a bit so you can get your flathead (or fingers) into the hole to pop the lights out. The rest is basically just getting the contacts out and then putting the new ones in (there's a possibility that you'll drop the bulb and socket behind your radio, so watch out for that). My only problem with the new ones that I put in, also from partsam, is that the contacts were significant stronger and thicker, which may affect the fit, otherwise it's all fine. Putting the socket back in the housing isn't tricky, but putting it in the right orientation is definitely the hard part. Good luck to all that do this fix!
These are T4 size bulbs and make sure you replace them with T4 size pure White color LED bulbs for a way more cleaner and slick look!
Nice nice bro, was looking for the led bulbs for 01 qx4 and I think you got it nailed! Thanks much!!!
Thank you for this video. Very helpful.
Thanks man! I think these work for all Infiniti models, giving it a shot anyway for the $6.95 for a 20 pack of bulbs. Would of liked to have seen how you got the bulb in and wired though. But thanks.... most information I have been able to find so far on a replacement bulb.
Did today, thanks for the help
good I30 content
Can you tell me if the clock itself has a fuse in the fusebox and if so what number fuse? Im trying to put this in a different car so ill have to add a fuse
Do you know which fuse connects with the license plate lights. I tried replacing it but nothing. I think I might be a fuse malfunction
Do u have a video how to fix the led brightness or change the radio lights? Cuz they are very dim during day and I don't know how it happened, on 2000 infiniti i30
Although I'm driving a G37x and the light is out, good job
Inside the vents are notches for screwdrivers...
anyone have a link to buy these bulbs now?
I have a I 35 2002 curious is the process the same?
I imagine not much would have changed on the i35, although I have not seen the dash of one. I believe they use many of the same parts across similar models to save on manufacturing costs.
Is it the same for the i35 because the bulb in our car just went
I'm don't know definitively, but I would think that Infiniti would not make huge changes to such a simple part. The manner in which the trim comes off may be a little different, but the bulbs should be the same type.
El Papi yeah true and if they did it would be waste of time honestly
I see you put in blue bulbs. Are the stock ones white? Thanks
The stock bulbs were yellow-white incandescent with a blue covering. I chose a blue LED, but many colors are available, including white.
Can you tell me the order of the haser light
It's a T4 bulb 💡
@@RaJahDathurr t4/t4.2 are 10mm , t4.7 is 12mm which is the correct one? are all the bulbs in the instrument panels the same?
You have a gift for picking what you decide to skip lol
Skip the screw screwing and show us the actual bulb removal and replacement lol
you did not say what size is the bulbs t3 or t4
do you know the order of the wires?
Not sure what you mean here. Which wires?
You should give the part number for the bulbs from PartsAM as this is important.
Thanks for the suggestion! I have included a link for a similar part in the description now. The partsam bulbs I was not able to find anymore.
I’m gimme make the light red
