Quick note on Rescue 343, that's actually a privately owned unit. I believe the owner either is former FDNY or knew someone who was. There is also Station 343 which is a set of apparatus done in a similar style, including a Mack engine and ALF tiller.
Cool, thanks, I didn’t know that. I didn’t even know Rescue 343 existed until we saw it yesterday! I have seen Ladder 343 and the special ambulance before. Definitely curious to look into this more now!
@@TripleJFire Yeah, I came across all of them from a photographer's facebook, uNYque Fire Trucks or something along those lines. Ladder 343 and the Medic are official units of course. Ladder 343 if I remember right started as a new Ferrara for 11 Truck but proved to essentially be a lemon upon arrival. The FDNY shops repaired it somewhat but it then got sidelined as a training piece while 11 Truck got a replacement unit. Later on it was dressed up as Ladder 343.
So slow! We watched haz mat with E44 clean up 20 gallons of home heating oil with oil dri yesterday. That’s the only thing we’ve made it to in weeks. I took video but didn’t know if it was even worth posting!
Lots of cranky people getting in line to cross the street at that location-it was one of the few intersections that would occasionally open for people to cross. I think that’s why!
Unfortunately, no. We were zipping around looking at the police vehicles on all the shut down streets and then just caught a little bit of the parade itself.
wow amazing rare one out for the day awesome rigs
It was a surprise for us and a real treat to see them!
Great memory trucks. Thanks for the good video. Kind regards
Thanks! They were a treat to see.
Great footage!
Thanks!

Very interesting! Now I definitely want to look up some articles/videos to find out more. Thanks for sharing!
@@TripleJFire Yeah np.
Fantastic my man, fantastic. Love your videos!
Thanks! There haven’t been many fires here lately (I guess that’s a good thing!) and it was a treat to see these in the parade.
Awesome video! Keep it up!

@@TripleJFire I'd say go for it. Never seen that before, so it'd be neat.
I’ll try to get it up soon!
It’s like a funetal. Jeez people clap or something or did you forget!

Do you have a video of the full parade

@@TripleJFire ok
Where's the 343 Engine? Oh, Thats right the FDNY didn't make one. Shame on them!
