It’s not outdated bro they’re all the same. My iPhone 11 was perfectly fine up until last week when I finally updated my software from firmware 14 to 17. Now I find myself having to charge my phone multiple times a day. Apple does it again 🖕🏻

This isn’t only for IOS 17.2.1. My iphone was draining a lot quicker even while it’s on standby at night for example

Did you find out that deactivating options consumes less battery?
Its all about what you sacrifice features on ios 17 to preserve battery life
My 15 Pro gets 6-7+hrs. on screen time w/o Low Power Mode on. But here’s a few things I did that helped the battery: Turned off Always On Display + Background Refresh + True Tone and Auto Brightness, switched 5G to LTE, and switched to Dark Mode. Hope this helps you too!
It's not worth turning off half the phone's features. What's even the point then.
Yeah with all of that turned off you might as well get an older phone without those features
Exactly some more Internet BS turn off everything and wipe the phone to brand new delete all your stuff just to fix it issue that it won’t fix anyway, they love to say turn off everything and if that don’t work wipe your phone to factory specs and it’s not gonna fix anything anyway, and everybody repeats the same crap on the Internet over and over again no real fixes for anything
and you forgot to sell it, it will help to stop battery draining a lot

the Dynamic Island is not working on my Iphone 15 pro + there is no setting for it in the Settings..

I don't allow any of these by default so I guess that's why mine wasn't draining

Turning off significant location will mess up the Optimized charging feature of the phone

I don’t use always on display , still there is a lot of drain. I am waiting for some update. Battery drain is real. During night at least 25% goes away.

All settings were already selected in my phone but still battery is draining in standby mode 😢

Turn off Raise to wake and also turn off the wallpaper in always on display will do the trick… leave everything else on or you might as well get a flip phone 😊
One setting that I found to drain a lot of battery is the iCloud backup on auto mode.
where and how can I turn off this setting?

Turning off settings that help you do things easier feels weird because thats the point of the iPhone and any smartphone :/ Apple needs to increasy their batteries’ quality and capacity as phones are starting to be more relevant and resources consuming
turning wallpaper off on AOD helps you if shows the wallpaper?, apps dont need tracking you, also analitic data why u need that?, if you turn off the tracking maps, the apps like google maps or maps work fine, nothing change

Why are people so worried about their stupid batteries, it cost 100 bucks to replace the stupid thing. If you can’t afford $100 for a battery replacement you probably shouldn’t be buying the phone.

But isn’t significant locations required for optimized battery charging? And I want to prolong my battery life. On one side, it helps prolong the battery lifespan. But on the other, it drains the battery faster in a single day. Which is it?
Actually significant locations doesn't use any more GPS tracking than the phone already does for other things. It works with the same data that it has already, so it's not really draining more battery.

@@alexhagiuMy guess is it drains more battery cause it has to store the data in a database or some other file which might cause a little more battery drain. It might also increase the frequency at which the gps is activated. But that’s all speculation on my part. Regardless I’m leaving it on because it helps increase the smarts of my iPhone

When I got my 13 pro max same happened then it stayed on 99% for about 2 months and then dropped to 95% within a few weeks. Don’t believe the battery health it’s not really accurate

My battery dropped from 100 percentage to 99 percentage and i bought my new 15 plus in November 2023
You're just saying the obvious here. That issue is obviously a software bug that apple has to fix. Your method helps with battery over all for sure but that's not the problem here
Turn everything off, including the phone itself. This will save a lot battery
Never had these issues when I had a Samsung. I leave the house for 2hrs with 90% and I come home with 20%
