  • Today’s guest is Dr. Alexis Ortega, MD, a board-certified regenerative medicine and longevity expert from Barcelona, Spain. He is the founder and medical director of Ad Astra Clinic, specializing in advanced regenerative strategies and skin, hair, and longevity treatments. With multiple degrees in regenerative medicine, aesthetic medicine, stem cell therapy, and longevity, Dr. Ortega brings a wealth of knowledge and detail to regenerative medicine.
We cover regenerative and aesthetic health, focusing on detox, skin, and hair regeneration. First, Dr. Ortega breaks down comprehensive longevity protocols, including key longevity assessments (like telomere testing, toxic load, NAD testing, and more). We discuss detoxification approaches for eliminating microplastics, heavy metals, and senescent cells that accelerate aging.
Then, we cover advanced skin rejuvenation treatments like microneedling, CO2 laser resurfacing, and his signature topical protocols like tretinoin, melatonin, and DMAE for optimal results. He also shares how to incorporate NAD, hyaluronic acid, astaxanthin, and beta-carotene into skincare to maximize anti-aging benefits. We also cover cutting-edge hair regeneration therapies, including exosomes, PRP, DHT blockers, and NRF2 activators, to combat hair loss and improve scalp health. We discuss the safety and efficacy of Botox and other injectables. We cover many actionable insights and practical tips on using supplements and treatments to look and feel 10 years younger.

Studies show that sweating (maybe aided by sauna) and longer term plasma donation (free here in the US at local blood banks) will remove chemical toxins. Obviously eating a very clean diet and clean water and air are needed. I recently saw on the NUS Medicine channel a discussion on premature aging with Oliver Dreesen where he mentioned in passing that niacinamide (a form of B3), at least under lab conditions, blocked some of the harm done by UVB to skin.
