Thanks for the video. It was a great help. While I installed the European tailslights and lightswitch about three years ago, I never completed the wires to get the rear fogs to work (it's just such a pain to work in the footwell and I lack the patience). Anyway, wire 28 from the black connector seems rather short and doesn't seem to reach over to the brown connector. Any suggestions? Did you remove the tape from the black wire trunk (don't think I want to do that), or did you use some sort of an extension?

Very nice video clip, well recorded.
However, you lost me after you connected the fog light wire to the Euro switch. You inferred that it should go into the Brown control module - pin 17, but then you removed wires (green and grey) from the Black controller to connect them into the Brown controller. You made an attempt to "edit" (at 5:03) as to which wire goes were, (actually saying that the yellow/trigger wire with the tape - hence the fog light wire - goes in fact into pin 17 Black Controller, not the Brown controller) but it was in between takes. I watched 4 times and still have no idea why you removed the Green wire and leave it unconnected (just taped) or the Grey wire from pin 28 Black connector and snapped it into pin 47 Brown controller .
It became like a cabbage stew since you split the Brown controller and haven't explained exactly which of the two yellow/trigger wires went into the Brown controller (and why)… You might need to revise/amend your video clip...

Find a be tuner shop near you. They can actually go into your body control module with vag come and tell them to stay on all the time

Hi! Great Video! I am curious if you'd be interested in adding part numbers for the switch you used, any pins you'd need or recommend, gauge wire used, etc etc. Some of these things are getting harder to find as time goes by. (We are seven years on this video currently :) )
To that note, I love when I get random comments on older videos. I hope this reaches you well and that you have a great day! Do you still own this car? What did you upgrade to?

Just realized the pin and wire comes with the kit you purchased. :) I'll probably find all I need via more Google by the time you may update. I'm sure future views finding your video in the ethers would appreciate it. :)

    Hi
My concern is about that fact that my driving headlights are own when I start the ignition, but I still need to turn the switch manually to the right end in order to get the dashboard and radio lights ON. I tried to buy only the switch which has (AUTO mode) as my old one didnt have that, I still not getting the dashboard lights on, what should I do?
