  • Our 20 year old VW could use some better lighting and we're installing some aftermarket Amazon sourced foglights... How hard could it possible be?
Here's a link to the lights we used:

But I'm a special kind of crazy.

Great detailed video as I am doing the same setup for my sons car. Could you provide a link to the ECS Tuning wiring harness you used? Thank you.

Hi i have a question, I bought the same Fog light like ur, but it have yellow bulb so i bought new h3 white led bulb for it but it has 1 cable is it compatible ? or i should buy another h3 bulb with 2 cable on it ?

H3 bulbs typically don’t have a ground cable because the mounting ring on the housing acts as a ground connection. You can add one by soldering on a wire with the spade connector you may need to make it work, to swap bulbs.

@@CliffjumperCars Good, I thought I would have to buy a new one, but apparently it can be used, Thanks for answering.

The yellow wire that you connected to the factory fog light comes with the harness for the lower foglights?? My harness doesnt have it , what can i do in order to make factory fog lights work?? I already have the euro switch needed for it

It's part of the fog light wiring harness kit that's specific to the Mk4, you can get it from ECS Tuning.

Well my kit doesn't have those yellow wires , can I just use a couple of extra wires and quick splice connectors and connect em to one of the existing wires on the kit??

what did you wire the bottom harness to? the one that went into the bottom fog lights

ECS Tuning Mk4 foglight wiring kit. I used low wattage LEDs in the factory foglight positions that are on the same harness, but used that wire to trigger the relay for the lower foglights.
