Have you even listened to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy or are u just judging by his public persona? Listen to Runaway from said album. Easily one of the greatest songs of the 21 century.

    Re: #5 - Nessun Dorma at the Grammy’s
    Not only did Aretha Franklin step in at the last minute for Pavarotti, but the song was done in his key, not hers. Due to the last minute nature of the replacement the orchestra, which had rehearsed it in his key, would not be able to transfer it to hers in time for the telecast. She adjusted, a skill that is very hard to do. Unless you’re Aretha.

    • @christineparis5607
      @christineparis5607 6 лет назад +12

      Nathan Thompson
      He was at Larabee studios in LA, recording his dangerous album. I was there all the time because my husband was a sound tech. He was very shy, but I had made friend with his chefs, two girls who cooked for him there. I would sit and eat and talk to them and he would come and go and say hi. It was just regular stuff, nothing exciting, just how are you, etc. He liked my husband, because he is a quiet guy, so I think he felt comfortable with him. They would just mumble to each other. You have to understand that he had NO life. His world was people treating him like a zoo animal. He was constantly stared at and asked for things. He seemed to want a normal life, but at the same time he had been a star for so long he had no clue how to be normal. It was very sad. This was in 91 or 93, I think. I always felt sorry for him. We could be laughing and gossiping and he would come in and everyone would stop. I think it must have been so horrible. I'm not in any way defending his choices, or anything. It was my impression of that time he was there.

    We will continue to honor her by enjoying her music. She left a priceless legacy with this generation that we can always treasure. I have played two songs each day of hers since the day she went away from this Earth and will continue to listen to her songs and capture her essence.

    With the queen of soul, there were many pivotal moments throughout her life and career, and I'm sure it was hard to narrow it down to just 10. Great video! Rest peacefully, queen.

    #5: The song was in Luciano’s key, not in Aretha’s. She only had 30 seconds to listen to the key of the orchestra and she nailed it.
