You get checkpoints like you normaly would: Having full shield (guess: and no enemies around). I didn't knew that during my LASO run and just found out after I completed it. Could've saved me a lot of headaches.
That looked like torture, but in a fun way. Honestly even without the tank gun, Bandana offers way too many options. The rocket launcher is a decent substitute for the tank gun, with slower ROF, and it can kill you, and the shots are slower, but still. But really, most open world encounters you could take a sniper or volatile skewer and pick enemies off from the mountain tops. Do the little "tape the crosshair to the screen" trick and you're set. Not to mention unlimited cloak thruster and grenades. All in all I say the tank makes things simpler and faster, but not necessarily easier. Also I appreciate the use of Johnson's little sales pitch from the Halo CE demo. You're clearly a man of culture
Finished the LASO on Infinite last night, just under 9 hours on the playthrough. I abused the shit out of the sword w/ mostly a sentinel beam to go along. I tried to bring the scorpion gun but I messed it up and switched it out early. I couldn't get an old enough checkpoint to get it back w/o restarting. My Advice: Spam shock grenades to setup grapple/sword attacks. Melee is essential since you need full health/shields to get checkpoints.
there are certain advantages of LASO like the infinite ammo, but that's about it. Awesome video, Luc. Your videos are the best to binge watch and eat to. Some lore video soon please? :P
I feel like if you play the game the intended way LASO is rough but with the infinite grenades and ammo make the first 2 levels easy then the rank gun makes every boss way to easy. God bless you doing it the hard way LASO the easy way took me only about 2 hours to complete.
My friend and I have been going through and doing every Halo campaign on MCC LASO in co-op. We're planning to do Infinite as well when they add co-op, but man does Bandana really trivialize a lot of it. We're gonna do our run with it turned off, and gentleman agreement to not take the tank gun. If we beat the campaign without either, then we'll do our victory lap for the achievement, and spider-people our way through the rest of the encounters.
Max out your thrusters and zoom all around the badies with the Duelist energy sword. Made LASO for me fun and very amusing, especially against Escharum and Jega

Much respect it took me 2 hours 30 min to get past the first level since I tried to sit at the back and just be a Mortar man. I feel your pain about the checkpoints...still haven't beat the second mission
I did an infiinte LASO as well! The sword really becomes your best friend in this
Not many people even remember Turok Evolution. So happy to see someone else who enjoyed the game.
My man. That was impressive. 👏 very well done!
It's strangely comforting to watch you go through the same pain I did doing LASO.
I see you took notes from Zanny’s video title ideas
Also, it looks like the Grapple Hook’s little cursor will help with the blind skull
Who would've known that grunts would be the main problem in a laso campaign
I’ve already started laso and just been taking it a day at a time. I just finished the spire. Wish me luck
You get checkpoints like you normaly would: Having full shield (guess: and no enemies around). I didn't knew that during my LASO run and just found out after I completed it. Could've saved me a lot of headaches.
Just a quick heads up, on LASO, you wont get a checkpoint unless you have full shields. Keep that in mind when clearing a room.
10:22 the little sound that grunt made was so cute lmaoo
I just started LASO yesterday and have only ever tried it with Halo 2 so this is going to be an experience
On my normal Legendary Playthrough, I grappled a plasma pistol on accident on the Spire, and my Tank Gun was gone. Made life painful.
Why didn’t you immediately nade yourself!?
@@gamefreak974 I did. Didn't work. Even reset the whole level. Wouldn't give me back the gun.
The matrix reference lol. Just saw the ad for it on your video hahaha. Perfect
I finished my LASO playthrough last week, my preferred weapons were the Scorpion Gun and the Duelist Energy Sword.
Dude, going into LASO I though, “pshhh, no problem. They give you infinite ammo AND grenades? This will be easy!” Holy shit was I wrong
I’d love a full series of this!
I've been looking forward to this since I finished the book!
I bought that same controller! I played the entire campaign on Heroic with it and now I’m used to the Duke again. I just play with the duke now.
But, I’m actually attempting this, and I can confirm, THIS SH*T IS HARD!!!!!!
there are certain advantages of LASO like the infinite ammo, but that's about it. Awesome video, Luc. Your videos are the best to binge watch and eat to. Some lore video soon please? :P
I made it up to tremonious and kept being killed the moment after the cut scene, Bravo sir, you have more patience then I
27:43. Team rocket is blasting off again! Lol😂😂😂
Thank you for your sacrifice... bless you
Have watched tons of your lore videos. Never saw your face until now.
Bringing back the duke was the cherry on top of your suffering
I feel like if you play the game the intended way LASO is rough but with the infinite grenades and ammo make the first 2 levels easy then the rank gun makes every boss way to easy. God bless you doing it the hard way LASO the easy way took me only about 2 hours to complete.
Xperia - Bloody hell that almost took me out.
Box - And I took that personally.
Bout to tackle the LASO campaign today actually!
Holy shit I just realized how badass the energy swords are in his intro- imagine that in game-
disrupters on LASO: we are superior
Sniper jackals on legendary: are we a joke to you?!
Sputnik, Feather, Anger, Foreign, Tilt, Malfunction, Assassin, Whuppopotamus, Ghost, Eye Patch, Grunt Party/Funeral & Piñata.
So many skulls missing from this game that would add so much more replayability to it. I hope 343 will add these in the near future. New skulls would be welcome too of course like a dual wield skulls or a Fiesta skull where everyone spawns with random weapons.
I need your full play through now!
