@@burymeinmarigolds I still remember a year ago, that I did all Halo games 1 to 5 on LASO non stop. Constant pain, agony and sanity, but I don't give up, regardless of the situation. And after about 3 months I finally completed all of them on LASO, plus got all achievements after that took 2 weeks so I don't have to do Legendary or LASO again. But at the cause of depression and sanity so it's debatable if it's worth it. It doesn't help either I did something similar in Left 4 Dead 2 about 3 years ago with Expert difficulty, plus Realism on every map, plus do the maps again with every mutation not counting the multiplayer exclusive ones. To put it simply I'm insane pretty much 😹.

The intro just feels so nostalgic, like that feeling you get after playing an old favourite of yours years after it was released. Also, nice job not losing your sanity to the flood!
34:20 is what I like to call a “trollpoint” instead of a checkpoint. I once got killed in The Maw running from the Warthog to the Longsword at the very end. The game sent me all the way back to the cutscene where Guilty Spark shows up.
My most recent bit of trollpoint was on two betrayals. The last checkpoint I got for the entire level was immediately before the second, uh, thingymadoo that you step in to blow up. Took me around 45 minutes to finish off the level from there. In the end, I got a remover gun and was able to just delete those wraiths at the end that were otherwise nearly impossible to get passed
@@naverilllang I actually had a similar situation a few weeks ago and thought back to when I made this comment! I was on Two Betrayals and got killed making a run for a Banshee near the end. Similar to you, I got sent back to just after I took out the second generator.
The main thing that always kept me from trying LASO runs is Blind. It's not the missing HUD or whatnot, but there's something about not seeing your gun I dislike so much in Halo.
Even as a fan of games with that in mind (Rainbow Six 1 being one), you do have a point.
It irks me too. I can guess why the reason they did that is because of the ammo/heat counters on some weapons, but c'mon. No HuD is awful enough.

The first time I played Library was next to hardest difficulty and it wasn't the fact that it was hard, but it was actually physically taxing. I was literally exhausted at the end of it. I can't imagine what going to this extreme would be like trying to finish it.

18:00 If by don’t recognize you mean they won’t notice you, then yes, Active Camo works as intended against the Flood. Very useful in 343 Guilty Spark.
20:33 There was a nuke that went off, but because you were behind cover you were safe. That’s why the Library looked so bright. You could see it starting to dim again as you got killed by snarks.
23:50 I think if you crouch in this corner by this door, the Flood won’t go after you. I know from some races that one of these corners is safe. Alternatively you can try Blunderjumping through the opening.
25:10 The normal Warthog aka the Delorean. You can find one of these in the Warthog run. If you hold jump I believe it will let you ascend.
29:16 It tends to do that when you use it against the Flood or Sentinels or Chief.

@@braddavis8909 More specifically it makes the area it hits act like it’s on fire. I’ve since seen people shoot floors and walls and move over to see what happened and then they start taking damage.

Really though, Cursed Halo is my favorite Halo mod, and InfernoPlus really goes above and beyond to make his mods not only functional, but also fairly "balanced" for normal play, even with the more ridiculous and powerful items.

See a lot of people don't seem to know: the "oh no" plays whenever a loose grenade is set off by a nearby explosion, which can turn a relatively harmless nuclear explosion into a catastrophe of a dozen different effects firing off all at once.

I tried this after you, my thoughts:
1) You can blunderbuss jump (blunderjump?) pretty easily to the second to last section of the level, with one caveat that I'll get to later.
2) I got a flappy banshee and a fuel rod gun with infinite ammo in one of my earliest playthroughs, tried to fly up but then realized...there's a killzone... so you can blunderjump up there, but you'll die on the way.
3) Keyes spawned with a remover for me in Truth and Reconcilliation, and still manages to get himself killed easily.
