@@GyuBeats Kiev. Thank you friend! These post-communist zombies fired 55 cruise missiles yesterday at hydroelectric and thermal power plants in our major cities. Millions of people have lost electricity, water and heat since yesterday. Now we are in the dark. These are vile and cowardly terrorists who are firing rockets at the civilian population. I never thought that I would experience this in my life.
I wish you all the best and send you my support 🙏🏼 @pasha trimbeater I just sent another video of Guy to my friend in Dnipro, then I read your comment 🙏🏼🦋
When I'm not so inspired I sometimes start re-creating songs I love. Doing so I learn so much about sound design and arrangements. What you are doing is amazing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your skills with us.
I've always though the most 90's break of them all is the 'Enigma' break... It was used in EVERYTHING! Cross genres too... ruclips.net/video/4F9DxYhqmKw/видео.html
Another Great how was it made Gyu!! I always wondered what Billy Bragg sing porcelain would sound like, now I know 🤣 keep up the good work, also love the live stream mixing you do
A bit of confusion at 6:10. Bb mixolydian has an Ab, not G# (though they are effectively the same note). To turn that into Bb major, you would sharpen the Ab to A, not down to a G.
Yes! Midnight in a Perfect World would be my recommendation. I've always been fascinated by the drums in this one. I'd really like to see how you emulate some vinyl scratching because I'm currently looking for the perfect VST for scratch effects.
My Mrs felt sorry for me that I have no TV in my room whilst it's broke, she dosnt realise I am happy as Larry watching you on another of my faves 😇 Are you saying he's changed Key mid track then switched back?

Like all other ceramics, the process to make porcelain is simple. Clay is mixed with additives, shaped and then fired in a kiln. The only thing that differs for porcelain is the identities of the constituent materials, the temperature of the kiln and, crucially, the formation of mullite. Sorry
I was on koh phi phi when they were filming 'the beach' There was a cruise ship moored off the main island holding the cast and crew. The actual beach they used for filming was on a smaller beach on a smaller island just off koh phi phi.The film company got in trouble for wrecking the area if I remember.Prob just paid them off to let them change what they wanted. Pure shores by all saints also came out around the same time and I love that tune aswell.Bring back great memories from my first time in Thailand.
I constantly stumble upon this kind of video and ask myself the question, damn dude, you have talent, such opportunities, you understand how to create high-quality music, so why? you can't become the second moby???? or just be a musician and become successful? I see videos like this all the time on youtube but none of them are calvin harris or david guetta, i don't understand why you don't use your talent
Firstly, thank you. Secondly, I agree, I do plan on releasing more of my own original music. You can find my previous releases here - open.spotify.com/artist/1dD1ttCcbXuQltaymFHTyT?si=e32b0476b8e94c39
I think Moby didn't clear that sample. I saw an interview about the song and he does not mention the source of the sample . I found a video from 2011 where the RUclipsr shows how Moby reversed the sample.ruclips.net/video/LP9kISwn4EQ/видео.html
You literally don't need to play any instruments or know how to make your own drum patterns anymore. You can make music from just just buying loops and samples. As long as you know some theory and you have an ear for what sounds good and know how to get there, anyone make good music now.
Thanks to GPU Audio for sponsoring the video! Download their FREE beta-suite here: gpu.audio/gyubeats
Track breakdowns have to be the best parts of RUclips.

Unbelievable how every time you seem to make it so easy to recreate a song, until I try it myself. Well done!
You are revisiting some of my favorite songs of all time. Absolutely love this track, perfection

Fingers crossed this one doesn't get a copyright strike! Love this tune - and cant wait for the deconstruct!
1:21 this break is really the sound of late 90s

Brilliant as always. And loved the larger, more readable fonts in the DAW images. A nice touch!
Another one of my all-time favorites! Cheers!
That was gorgeous. Keep them coming, Guy... I'm loving this series.
Another great episode of How was it made. Thanks Gyu. Keep them coming please.

Absolute banger! ❤️
The vocal trick in here is gold.
This song is a classic, nice work recreating the beat, I enjoyed the video!
love your videos mate, you really know your stuff. It's really insightful...
Brilliant work again.. so glad my mates put me on your channel..
ANOTHER EXCELLENT VIDEO GYU , THANKS ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT DRUM BREAKS WHERE ON THIS ONE
Another cracking video about another one of my favourites tracks!
Really enjoyed this dude!
Amazing tune!
This was never really a favourite of mine, but now I can appreciate the artistry behind it thanks to your breakdown Guy!
Moby is a music genius
Another brilliant video, love this channel....... keep doing your stuff!
What a magnificent creation! You've done a great job, thanks for this!
Absolutely brilliant as always mate.
Vocals are great in this one, well done!!!

Top job yet again.
Forgot how good this track was. Nice work as usual.
Damn this is so accurate! Definitely a new subsriber!!
Any chance you could do First Cool Hive? I'd love a deep dive into that one, or a shallow dive - however the case may be 😂
Hey you did really well on this!
I swear to god we have mirrored musical tastes or something, great video!
Awesome again. Maybe a DJ Shadow - entroducing track next?
Yeah I'm considering it...

@@TheValueOfNI think the drum sample was from Rotary Connection "Life Could"
great work and song choice
If there was ever a sample that were worth re-writing a song over the main part from this song would be it
fantastic
Very cool! Seems like the main loop has a bit of a lag each repeat compared to the original… like it is extended a 16th note?
great video! actually, the drums are sampled from the song "Destiny (The Remix)" by "Electra (British House Group)"
Sick song...sick de construction thanks 👍
Sounds great! where are the srings from??

Respect for the spectral resonator thinking.
hey, which vst and preset was used for the piano melody?
0:41 got reminded of the King Of The Hill intro for some reason lol
lol :)
Is the ableton project available somewhere?
Great. Can you do spaceman by Babylon zoo?

you should some more massive attack for sure
I’ve listen to this album a million times. It’s so odd that I can hear the slight timing difference in yours even though it sounds almost identical.
You choose the best songs to showcase…
fucking cool!
just subbed and i could of given you the vocals damb

Could you try to do some funky *ss BREAKBOT tune?
It’s a pretty track 😢

Love your vids. In this case the beat doesn't seem to loop correct by perhaps a millisecond and becomes hard to listen.
Yoo
Good cover. Some of the timing of the piano melody is not accurate to the original is my only main gripe

I wish I learned this instead playing in band in middle school. Band made me hate music a little
Where's Moby in the comments 😂
I know right?! 😂
Make anything by Aphex Twin
Am I the only one who thinks that sampled break isn't quite in time with the main drum loop? Those hi-hats are really bugging my DJ ears.
No, the drums don’t loop properly at all.

Great effort, but your breakbeat loop is a few beats too fast and throwing off your timing.
Gaaaay
The vocals ruin this track. They're awful lol. Its a shame because the music is so nice.
