Mae Whitman nailed it as Dawson.
I enjoyed this immensely.
Everyone was fantastic and funny in their given roles. I especially want to call out Abigail Spencer's portrayal of Pacey.
And, I love how Kerr Smith could barely keep a straight face through this...His reaction of, "This is so weird" was totally understandable.
Mae killed it, she is so talented and charismatic

As the biggest Dawsons Creek fan in the world, I enjoyed this so much! I just started season 5 for the 4th time through the series. The way Dawson talks about Spielberg in the bedroom scene with Jen, is the way I'd talk about this show haha. Anyways, I love this so much! And I actually appreciate the comedy in this since the show is such a serious one. The gender swap thing was genius! Wondering why they kept Grams as a female? Anyways, thanks for posting this!!
Lyssamichelle I've been obsessed with this show since it originally aired and I've watched these episodes so many times, it's not natural.
This was a fun thing to watch.
A script reading of a past pilot should be done every year, from now on. And, keeping the gender reversal element... What about the FRIENDS pilot next, or the original Beverley Hills, 90210.

They are actors from various other TV shows, I guess they all happened to be at the festival and agreed to do this. Mae Whitman (Dawson) was on Parenthood, Louanne Stephens (Grams), Stacey Oristano (Bessie) and Derek Phillips (Mitch) were on Friday Night Lights, Nick Weschler (Bodie/Mr Gold) was on Roswell back in the day when this was originally on, Arielle Kebbel (Tamara) is from Gilmore Girls, and I don't know the others but they were great too :)
@@everythingshiny Parenthood, Friday Night Lights and Roswell were all showrun by Jason Katims, so presumably this festival had brought a bunch of his shows together for some reason? Or just coincidence...

Re watching Dawson's Creek episodes on abc family channel, since the free episodes were blocked on RUclips. Which episode has the three some with Jen? I'm not a perv, I can't remember who the 2 guys were. I'm currently watching where Joey fell in love with Dawson twice. Loved Jason Behr in Roswell. Forgot what an @-$$hole he was in Dawson's Creek.
Waiting to see the guy from The Dreamers, stalking Jen, so I can prove to my boyfriend he was an actor before that (jump! Do it! Damn. Sigh)
