I gave it a go on ps5 a few months ago with high hopes. I played about 1-2 hours and although there's some elements I liked, I just couldn't see myself continuing. Maybe one day I'll pick it back up.
The first couple hours are legitimately pretty bad. I thought I had made a big mistake buying it. It wasn't until I was four or five hours in that it really started to click for me. Let me know what you think if you ever come back to it. Thanks for the sub!
@@PCGGC nah, I legit get what you mean, but I have played plenty of games that have a ramp up period and then are beyond amazing, especially open world games.
@@tigerkralle it took me three seperate tries to get into Xenoblade, but once I finally got into it it became my favorite game of all time. I probably played for 10 hours overall before it really had it's hooks in me.
That would be cool! I imagine this game would look cool cell-shaded, like they did with Samurai Warriors 5 on Switch. I'm really savoring these demake ports since I know Switch 2 will likely basically kill this look.
Great review! Will surely be picking it up when its on sale. There really arent that many open world actions rpgs like this on the switch. I am really hoping we do get Fallout 3 on the Switch or any Fallout honestly. Those are my dream ports and I hope they are announced before the Switch 2.
Thanks so much! I'm really hoping for Fallout at this next June Direct. Especially since the TV show has been doing so well, it seems like the perfect time to drop it on Switch. Fingers crossed!
@@GameDreamery The console is best suited for Fallout 3 or New Vegas but considering the 4th game got the next gen update they might port that one. Either way I am ok with any of them on the Switch and If it was up to me I would like all of them jajaja
@@juancimino296 I'm really hopeful it's a 3 and New Vegas combo pack, but that is SUPER wishful thinking. I'd love to replay 3, and I never got to finish New Vegas, so any excuse to revisit that one would be great. I didn't love 4 when it first came out, simply because I love playing as an evil character, and I didn't feel like it incentivized horrible behavior nearly as well as 3 did, so I'd be happy giving that another shot, too. It's baffling we haven't seen them on Switch yet. I thought it was a given as soon as we got Skyrim, but here we are, still waiting...
@@GameDreamery honestly I dont see Bethesda being generous enough as to give us a dual pack, would be great though. Fallout 4 is the one I enjoyed the least but it would still be an aswesome inclusion to the Switch library. I got 2 physical copies of Skyrim (one sealed) and as much as I like it I find Fallout to be a much better franchise, specially considering the combat in Skyrim is awful.
Same. I'm so glad I played it though. It's AA for sure, not AAA. You need to be patient for the first couple of hours, but once you're let loose in the open world, I really loved it! Maybe wait for a sale if you're on the fence, I can't imagine it'll be full price for too long, ports normally drop to a sale price pretty quickly.
Just wandering in this video, you played with the day 1 update patch or not tho ????? Because the day 1 update have improved the frame rate and graphic etc if I'm not mistaken
Most things I've seen about this game say it's really, really bad. But I have trouble believing that. It looks too epic and cool to be that bad. I'm sure there are bad aspects, but the game looks great. I've got a giant pile of games I need to play, plus a slight addiction to Pal World so I'm not getting to it any time soon, but someday.
There are definitely undercooked aspects, and it's a bit over ambitious, but I loved the vast majority of it. It's the perfect length for this type of game too. It never overstayed it's welcome. The first couple hours are definitely rough though until it opens up.
Played it on ps4 when launched loved it I was the good guy though, playing it on ps5 NG+ I'm all bad and still loving the game. I'm not sure I want to play on switch though due to already owning it. The whole morale system yeah could have done without I agree.
I'm going to grab the Ps5 version on sale at some point so I can compare, and I'll definitely plan on doing an evil run then. I kinda love how insane the evil options are, but I'll have to go back and really commit to it on my second playthrough. Thanks for the comment and sub!
I own several systems, the switch is by far my most played... I don't have the luxury to play at the house very often, but I get a chance to play on breaks at work, when I'm waiting on people, have a little time to kill before an event, etc... sure it's not the best visually, but I can play all the games I want on the go, something I can't with my xbox or playstation
What's happened to the graphics - they are awful. The original graphical style for PS4, Xbox and PC were great. This looks more like a lesser Zelda game.
Dear god this game looks 10x more horrible on Nintendo Switch. It is amazing just how poor performance Switch can provide for everything that is 3D and not first party title xD
It could have been great on switch if they port it right and publishers like panic button has prove it with many games like doom, warframe etc. Most publishers don’t understand the way of the switch that is why all Nintendo games looks good and runs great because Nintendo knows there own system just like panic button understands there system
@@RaidSouls it's interesting to see how different port developers prioritize different things. Panic Button and Saber are both wizards with the Switch. Also seeing how different engines work better or worse when ported is interesting too. Unreal is really hit or miss on Switch.
Game is absolutely terrible. Boring dull dead world with zilch to do other than go back and forth, the story is the worst, writing is abysmal, gunplay is mediocre, and there's literally copy and pasted temples and other architecture everywhere. This is what you get with scam games. This game took pre-orders 3 YEARS before the game came out, pretty much the entire dev cycle. That may be acceptable for an all-star dev that has been put together with industry veterans, but this game was just not worth the time and energy
Yikes! I had no idea they took pre-orders that far in advance. Bummer. The copy/pasted architecture bothered me too, especially the houses that all had the exact same layout.
I love it. This is the longest I've played a game in about 2 years

Ive had this one on epic games for years but you convinced me to finally give it shot. Looking forward to another review

Really hope this gets a sequel to improve on the good aspects

It does kinda look like a lesser Zelda. I dig the look though. The colors and art direction make up for the muddyness IMO.
Why wouldn't a portable system have a graphical tradeoff
