First off, great video! I've been a golfer for 35 years. In December 2020, for the first time, I went to a single manufacturer throughout the bag. Driver to putter. The gapping when it comes to moving from irons into wedges is the best I have ever had in terms of understanding what each club does and how each club relates to the others. The additional amazing thing is that I now also have a new found understanding and appreciation of the gapping as I move from irons into hybrids into fairway woods. Again, I understand, more then ever, the the purpose of each club and circumstances in which to use each club. Surely, I ain't the smartest golfer on the course, but there is something I feel that I never felt before: A level of clarity of what my clubs do and, perhaps most importantly, why they are in my bag. It is inspiring and raised my level of confidence immensely. For the first time in my life I an totally confident and comfortable hitting every club in my bag. I think this is in large part to being professionally fit and to having a single club maker throughout the bag. When I had specialty wedges from one maker, irons from another, fairway woods from yet another and then a driver from another (not to mention the putter), I did not have this level of clarity and peace of mind. My experience and $0.02.

20 years ago when I started I had all the same, then I had same woods and different irons, now I have a mixture of what suits my game more, great video again 👍

I have watched many PXG videos from The Average Golfer and other You Tuber's. I ordered a full 3 - 9 and driver 0211's..I have not played golf since 2010. I started 2 months ago with an almost full set from PXG and playing bogie golf. That is awesome. For PXG I ordered 0211's and since they "ran out" of 3 iron 0211 they said they upgraded my 3 iron to the 0311. When my irons arrived ALL the 3- 9 irons ARE 0311's at no extra charge with an apology by phone after an email to confirm when I would be available for a phone call. PXG apologized for NOT completing my order and then upgraded all my irons to 0311. Thank you for the amazing video.
I picked up a complete iron set this winter, 4-9+pw+aw+sw which is 55°, all the same grips n nice graphite shafts, each 1/2" shorter stagger, nice weight increase increments as they get shorter, the whole package deal is the way to go, alot easier to get gapping figured out, I play a 3&4 hybrid 5-sw and 62° wedge and a chipper and putter
Got my mom fitted for a set of 0211 irons, a couple hybrids, 3 wood, and a driver a couple weeks ago in Scottsdale, AZ. I’ll be picking them up for her this coming weekend. At 68, this will be her first full set of new clubs. She is very excited.
I bought the 0211's full bag (4-W), Driver, 3W and 5W. I got them with graphite shafts. I did get the 54 and 58 degree 0311 wedges as well. I have hit them on the driving range a couple of times. Played on the course yesterday for the first time. Was about 10-15 yds longer with the irons than I have hit. I'm also coming off shoulder surgery in September so still learning my swing still. I was happy overall and look forward to playing a with them again soon.
Great on course review with the 0211’s. These were my first introduction in the PXG family of irons and I have not turned back since. I graduated into the 0311s and love the performance, ball speed, flight control and stability. I live in the U.S. and look forward to visiting the Arizona PXG headquarters for my next fitting later in 2021. Cheers

I went and got fitted for the 0211 driver a few weeks ago and I can verify it is absolute money. Obviously the fitting had a lot to do with it. Went today to get fitted for the 0211 irons and ended up walking away with their full bag deal on the 0211 clubs...Driver, 3 wood, 19 Hybrid, 4-PW,GW,SW,LW, putter, bag and hat for $1899. For me it was an eye opener, the fitting process was fantastic. Been playing regular graphite shafts because I like the way they felt, always off the shelf. Well, the fitter showed me how wrong I was and put me in stiff steel shafts 5-LW with ridiculously great results. The driver, 3 wood, hybrid, and 4 iron have 4 different graphite shafts because that's what worked for gapping and consistency. Probably the biggest surprise to me was the putter fitting. He watched me put with a few putters and then said because I had an arch to my stroke to try the V-42 putter, which I would have never even picked up...unbelievable how comfortable and dialed in my putts became. I went to the practice green tonight after work to validate it and yep, it was magical. $50 for the fitting (worth hundreds in my opinion) and a really good deal on some really great clubs...if you have a PXG fitting location near you, go do it! You couldn't touch this quality of an off the shelf full set at the PGA tour store for under 2k and those wouldn't be custom fitted. 0211 irons went to $79 per club yesterday as well, what a steal!

In my younger days, I had “no gaps” in my irons with Ping Eye2 2i thru LW. I had all Callaway woods.
Now that I’m over 60, I’ve got Cobra irons, Ping and Mizuno woods and a Taylor hybrid.
An all PXG set does sound attractive...
Course looked good Andy, springtime with the gorse in flower always says summer is just around the corner. Good to see you back out playing and playing quite well too. I bet it heps having someone filming with you too.

I've never bought new clubs without trying them first but have absolutely no regrets!!

I bought the PXG 0211 for $94 a club(u save $5 for calling in the order) and I think you sold me on buying the Gap wedge as I have been so consistent with my irons now, dispersion is tighter. However, I have to keep my Callaway PM Grind log wedge as that never lets me down.
Great review. I agree with your assessment on the 0211 irons. I got mine a week after it came out. It changed my game drastically for the better. The strong loft helped me reach distances without exerting much effort. I'm hitting more relaxed shots which made for consistent hits off sweet spot. Amazing clubs, really good value.

Yes Sir I Really Like your Videos have been watching for sometime now. I have ordered a set of the PXG 0211 DC iron's. I ordered 6-GW. I can't wait to get them. I ordered them yesterday. I talked to a guy over the phone I didn't get fitted he fell like I could play Standard and so do I. The price right now is Great Nobody can beat it. Graphite shafted irons for $99 a Club. I have the 1st gen 0211 irons 5 to P. Then recently bought the new 0211 4iron, Gap, Sand and Lob wedge. I had them spec to the 1 gen irons. The older 0211 irons are 2 degrees weaker on loft. I have the driver on order. Currently in my bad is a TM 2016 M2 driver Adams Blue 5 wood, Adams Blue 4 Hybrid and TM Ardmore 2 putter.
I enjoy your golf videos. You asked if I was planning on buying PXG this year, I have a fitting for PXG scheduled for Feb 5, 2022. Largely your opinion, testing and unbiased testing has influenced my decision. I am being fitted for Gen 3 irons 5-9, 0211 irons PW, GW, LW, SW and a 0211 3 wood, 0211 hybrid 19 deg. Once I finish the fitting and get back out on fairway in spring, I will let you know how they compare with the Callaway I am replacing.

I tested and ordered the 5 and 7 woods to round put the top of my bag. I felt they preformed solid at a good price point. Good launch window and good distance. Its nice to see woods not cost $300. You get adjustability and performance at $225 which I feel is a sweet spot in price in a wood for most golfers.
Couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on having the same club set up all way through to lob wedge. As a very average player myself, my recent move to the wedges from the same manufacturer ( Decatholon’s Inesis 500), my short game has improved massively.
Ping g400 driver, 425 fairway woods (5, 7, 9), g400 irons, CBX 50, 52, 56. Ping Anser putter bought in 81 or 82.
I have a full TaylorMade bag but I have looked at the PXG 211 set. As you said the price point is a big reason why I'm looking. Since I'm ex-military I believe the full set for 4-LW only cost me $800 American dollars which is a great deal.
The price is the same for everyone as of lately that's why theirs a big fuss

Great vid, thanks. Liked the honest early morning 'grumps' on video! Me too! Always loyal to Wilson Staff, but have recently taken to Ping from hybrid upwards and not regretted it. Thinking alot about these PXG for my next irons, looking forward to a fitting at some point in the summer.

Great video. I have always been a full set Taylormade fan, but I am having a PXG full bag fitting this week, the 0211 package is unbelievable at the moment. I’m really looking forward to it.
After watching one of your videos last year I ordered 4 to pitching wedge 1st gen 0211’s and love them. I subsequently ordered the driver and again seem to get on very well with that, I’ve not really thought about the hard sound as my first thought was it felt quite soft. I already had a Calloway Rouge 3 wood so didn’t replace that but do need to gap the 4 iron to 3 wood so may order a hybrid.
Keep up the good work and next time up in Scotland come and visit Dunblane New Golf Club (it’s not that new by the way, soon to celebrate its 100th anniversary).
Ordered a 0211 7 iron to test it out. Should get it this week. If all goes well I will be fitted for a set of the irons (4 - LW). Looking forward to giving these irons a try.

I purchased the 2021 0211 6-pw irons, 3 wood and 7 wood. Got my hands on a slightly used gen2 0811 driver. Loving PXG thinking of getting their putter next
I firmly believe in brand loyalty now. I have everything Mizuno, except for the putter. Used to have a real mixed bag but that only tempted me to keep looking for upgrades on each club. Don't have specialty wedges either. Just 5 iron to SW. If I can't get out of trouble and on the green with those, an extra wedge or two probably won't help.
Got a fitting for 0211s in May. Your reviews have convinced me I've made the right choice!

Nice review, my new 0211 driver is coming today and I’m going to speak to the UK PXG guys today to discuss a new set. It’s great to see that a brand which was out of most people’s reach, is offering something more affordable.
Just a note Andy, you need to clean the sensor on your camera as there are quite a few dust marks on the video. Love the videos. Stay safe.
I have the full set and today will be the 4th round with them! I am happy with the purchase! I am still adjusting to the woods but the irons are 🔥! The hybrids are also 🔥! The Battle Ready Batt Attack was a little lite but the fitter put in the 20oz weights and it is much closer to my Odyssey White Hot Pro #7. They are sweet! Thanks Andy!
Great video Andy. I bought a 0811XF driver in their recent sale and love it, now looking at getting both the fairway and hybrid in the 0211, also got my eye on the irons but I could never get rid of my PM Grind wedge or Ping putter
I bought the original 0211s 5 to SW just over a year ago on their first deal. Also upgraded the shafts to i95 steelfibre. As for the rest it depends what performs the best for me. I do like callaway Woods.

My PXG 0211's arrived Easter Day! Hit them on simulator today. My P790's 'feel' nicer. But the 0211's are far more forgiving - and its not close. Looking forward to gaming them this year!

Titleist right through & including the bag. Broad range in all areas; great feel & quality - no mad colours. Gapping is easy when making up combo's & the ranges have a common theme. Love the feel of my Scotty putter (fitted by Lewis). Have had "Mixed Bags" and felt like a rag & bone man.... Nice to see Mr Johnson fit & well - You should get him On-Air - if he can fit you in!!

The brand loyalty question, I'm back with Ping (G425) woods, Mizuno irons, TM hightoe wedge for bunkers and a Scotty Select putter, Ping woods, Mizuno irons and Scotty putters, they're just good.
I pick up my full set tomorrow. First time running with one brand for a full set. Can't beat the full bag deal right now!
Once I had 14 Ping clubs in the bag; back during the I25 days. Four different manufacturers in my current getty up. No PXG to date. So much great equipment out there. So little time!
No brand loyalty. New PXG 0311 irons, Ping Driver Taylormade SIM 3 wood, Calloway Epic 5 wood, Cameron putter. All over the place. I play what feels best. I had been wondering about the Average Pro! Great to see. Cheers

Did you find a issue with gapping in lower clubs? I see there is a 6º loft difference when you get down to the wedges, that's my only real concern with these irons.....
Great video. Did you observe any gapping issues between the hybrids and the irons? The 5i actually has LESS loft than the 4 hybrid.
I have had a full bag of Callaway clubs for quite a while. This would be because I love the brand, but also because of Callaway pre-owned. It's very easy to upgrade by trading in without breaking the bank. I have since added two Cleveland wedges. I find that I am very comfortable playing those.
I went brand loyal after a Titleist fitting in 2016 (40th birthday present - 915 woods, 816 hybrids, AP2 irons and SM5 wedges). Have not regretted it, although now I am using an Odyssey EXO mallet (which I love) ... and have my eye on the new Ping fairway woods.

I’ve always used Titleist all the way through the bag. I just bought the 0211’s. Excited to get them and see what all the buzz is about.
I have a set of 0211 5-PW, and a Gen 4 0811XF coming next week. PXG was priced way out of my range, especially only playing a dozen times a year. I am anxious to try them out. $880 US $$ with shipping.
I had my 0211 Driver & 3 wood. Now I'm waiting for my 0211DC iron to ship. Hope this iron will give me great result. As the driver and 3 wood doing really great
I bought the driver and irons 5-LW and they are brilliant. 20 yards extra with the driver although it is fair to say it took a bit of getting used to after my Ping G400. Initially I kept hitting the ball of the bottom of the driver. I get another 10 yards with the irons although that might be the stronger lofts. I sold my G400 driver and G410 irons on eBay for £810 so the 0211s were a real bargain. I play off 22 by the way.
I ordered an 0211 driver. Not here yet. I am a Taylormade thru the bag player. But really looking at the PXG 0211 irons and hybrids.

Thank you for the great video! To speak on being brand loyal, I have played Titleist since college as they were the clubs I played in school. I have since purchased nothing but Titleist in the last 15 years since then. Recently though I have been pulled towards Ping, though would never swap out my Scotty Cameron.

I play a cobra speedzone driver speedzone 3 and 5 wood 19 and 21 degree radspeed hybrid's and 6 7 8 9 PW sw gap lw pxg 0211 this setup changed my game I also have the cobra 3d printed grandsport 35 putter. The putter changed my game the most but the irons get me there. 021q right now 77 dollars a club which is crazy cheap but not a cheap club by any means
I was brand loyal to ping until I got fitted for the pxg 0211’s after watching your reviews on them . Did the full bag deal love the irons and putter but not to sure how I feel about the driver and 3 wood I may have to put the ping driver and 3 wood back in the bag.
I am one of those brand loyal golfers. I have been full bag of ping,callaway,taylormade and now have found PXG. I have a full bag of PXG clubs, I have the proto driver, 0211 3W,5W,7W then the gen 2 0211 irons 5 iron all the way to LW and the spitfire putter. Love the set, irons are so much better than gen 1 irons. For the price PXG are on to a winner. I am like you Andy why switch to blade wedges when you can have the same shafts all through the irons for consistency, gapping and the help of a cavity back in the wedges.

Right now I have all titleist. Driver to putter. Even rotate a 4 utility with 4 hybrid depending on course and weather. But my wedges are titleist vokey pw/gap/sand/lob, and putter is Scotty Cameron, but they all have titleist on them
Just ordered a full set of irons (6 to Lob) and a driver, all 0211. Not sure about the driver, after your review, but confident the irons will be fine for me.
P. S. Ordered the irons 2 degrees weak. So 7 iron is 30 degrees.

I had brand loyalty 2 Ping 10+ years ago but now it's what works best 4 my swing, driver Ping g410 + Cleveland launcher hb turbo 5 wood, Callaway steel head 4&5 hybrids, Callaway CF16 6-ap, Cleveland 50/54 CBX 2, Callaway 60 degree PM grind and Odyssey duel force
Good to see you back on the course Andy its great to be back on the grass . About specialist wedges and this is a personal view, a lot of golfer I believe we named wedges as a status thing and for the life of me I cannot understand him the big 3 are not tapping this market
Full bag of PXG for me 👍🏼 the Gen3 irons are incredible. I just don’t think you can get a softer feeling iron, best around.

I have an older set of the Gen 2 Irons and I agree on the feel, so nice !
Surely the reason most people use specialty wedges rather than the wedges that come with the iron range is that we go through wedges / change our wedges more often than we change out irons. But I’m definitely thinking about getting a set of these. Just struggling about how to get fitted for a set at the moment.
Got to get pxg irons this year and the 0211 will definitely be being tried alongside their other irons

Great video and content, trouble with PXG is the testing and fitting availability, as for your question on brand, I've always been Titleist through the bag but with one Cleveland wedge and Odyssey putter

Nice to see you back on the course, and you scored well considering the early start, did I detect a bit of grumpy ness when you were getting the clubs out of the car ? I am also not an "early morning" golfer, but I have played most of my better rounds when half asleep !!!

Love my 0211 irons from last year, got my eye on a set!! Would like to see more of the wedge info though, could be persuaded into a full new 0211 set e.g. how do the wedges bounce, size, grind etc compare to ES21 wedges you love?? Much better performance on spec wedges vs these set 0211 S & L wedges??

Another top notch video, Andy. Course looks fantastic. And I'd say you're a tad better than an average golfer. lol I'm not brand loyal in terms of only playing a specific brand, but once I choose a brand, I try to stick with it throughout the bag. Currently playing Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Driver, Steelhead XR 3, 5, 7 wds and 5I - PW, AW; Cleveland CBX2 54* & 58* wedges; Wilson Infinite putter(s); Srixon Q & Z Star balls.
Played 1 round so far with mine at Royal St George's. Love them, woods are so easy to hit, irons feel great for a cast club. Still waiting for my putter, been 7 weeks so far.... Hopefully will arrive soon

I play gen 1 0211 irons.2 seasons dropped from struggling to break 90 to 75 yesterday.
Great video again Andy,Conway looks nice ,I have been looking at these irons as an option now PXG have brought the price down, the only problem is not being able to try them ,or get fitted for them (PXG 's fitting centre is far away in Oxford ) let's hope the covid rules change so that I may be able to attend a demo day here in North Wales.
Had a fitting yesterday at Fore Golf Chester, they have a PXG fitter come about once a month. Speak to James to arrange . Ordered set 0211 today

Great watch some great shots , think it's the way we are sold clubs these days that people want the same as the pros because we would all like to play like that. With you doing as much testing as you do, you find that certain makes fit you better for shots or type of swing and placement .
I have the new 0211 irons 6 thru Gap wedge and the 0211 driver. Love the irons and the driver. If the driver sounds a bit loud I don't care if its in the fairway and long enough for me. Love them!

I also have the Gen 1 0311, between them and the Gen 2 0211 what’s more forgiving ? And club profile is the 0211 a smaller profile thinner too line and less offset ? The offset of the 0311 has always put me off a bit.

I purchased the PXG 0211 4-LW plus a hybrid, and Blackjack putter at the end of 2020 when they were on sale. I love them! I have mot looked at their woods because I love my Cobra Speedzone woods.

What about the pricepoint now? I just bought a 0211 Driver for EUR 237/GBP 205….. The 0211 Irons are down to GBP 80,- If they were hard to beat for GBP 119;- now they are unbeatable i guess……… what do the guys at PXG have in mind with that price drop?
