I do long haul in real time, but I'm not always on the PC, I just do several checks along the flight. I'm flying now from SVMI to LPPT. About the FPS in the A380, I don't fly with it because of that, during the landing I get less then 10 FPS most of the time.
Cheers, Gavin. My chair is a Boulies Master Max. I also have a couple of regular (non max) versions - my wife like mine so much we got two in the house. I think on balance I prefer the max as I’m six foot four, but the regular one is fine too. As for time acceleration it’s done via the EFB in the a380 but you can map a key or button in settings and use it with any aircraft. Thanks for watching 👍
I must admit one of the first flights in the A380, and I was not really a fan of this airplane until I actually flew it, I enjoyed it so much I decided to do a realtime longhaul and flew Heathrow to Dubai. I did it as the real crew do and an hour in I went to bed and got up in the next morning about an hour and half before landing and took over again. It was surprisingly enjoyable and fulfilling not to cheat with sim rate.
I got into long haul just before the 777 was released on 2020. If I am free during the day, I will mostly do short haul like 1-3 hour flights. Long haul is normally reserved for a time when I know im busy for a while or before bed. For example just yesterday I done Heathrow to JFK in the A380 and went and had dinner with family and had some guests over, by the time I was back to my computer, I was roughly 2 hours from destination so just relaxed a bit, went on youtube etc. I have the simbrief app on my phone so I can check that im on the right heading, distance to T/D and flight level, if I have step climbs en route, Ill just go to my computer and initiate it then go back to whatever I was doing.
On my 17 hour flight from Perth to Heathrow in the sim I had pretty much the same problem as you, I assume a mixture of your computer being on for a long time and how fps heavy heathrow is, espcecially the inibuilds scenery for it too. Anyway that aside, great video
Thanks for the great video David! I am confident this has no relation with the addons. Same happened to me until i lowered my settings - especially texture quality to medium - need to free up VRAM. Hope you figure something out that works for you :)
During the week I work whilst long hauling...weekend I got PS5 (and a wife and kid to keep happy :) ) However I've stopped using the FBW A380 as the frame hit is killing my sim. I have a decent PC as well with a RTX 4070 Super
hey got a question, when I am using GSX and I zoom, every time the vehicles loose their lights and their liveries, and as well when I zoom out more they loose their detail. how can I fix this I believe render distance issue?
I think you have zero hours in a real plane. While the new sim is buggy just like 2020's launch the new CFD with 2024 is a valid reason why I will never touch 2020 again for GA aircraft. Unless you spend hours clicking the autopilot button and not hand flying then stick with 2020!
@@caribbaviator7058 are u happy with constant loading? Or freezing? Or green trees in Dubai ? Or the overdone taxi lights that you can see from 10k feet ? Or ctd's ? Or green buildings ... . I've been using msfs 2020 & it was Never that bad back in August 2020 .
SU1 is a huge improvement are you using it? Also you are overusing ‘super’. It’s not often used by emirates as they don’t operate anything not ‘heavy’ or ‘super’. ICAO 4444 states it should only be used on first contact with an ATS.
Great strides to make the scenery, aircraft, environment realistic and then you are the only aircraft at OMDB and EGLL. No AI traffic - no realism.

Hi. I’m really enjoying your videos. A couple of questions. What chair do you use? How do you do time acceleration? Thanks again for all your content.

If I’m doing a long haul on the weekend I sit there and play a game on my Xbox
how do you not get disconnected with that framerate?
Tbh long hauls for me are a cake walk. Especially when im proficient with the Tripple seven F
This is why i stay comfortable in 2020 and actually enjoy the landings 😅😂
i deleted 2024 its ahhh

CTL is coming next weekend, you flying?
What do you use for the FPM counter
Hey mate just wondering when I installed the a380 I had no cockpit textures. Does anybody know how to fix
And should I get development A380 or stable A380 and 8k or 4k
Nice vid AirNOTT
I've tried the AutoFPS for the FPS and it's an absolute treat. Maybe it works for you too?
Yes me too, I certainly mitigates the VRAM bug in 2024 by as far as I understand monitoring your VRAM (using GPU-Z) and ensure you don't max it out
Is time Accel allowed on unicom?
I was disconnected during time accel. But apparently it is technically allowed, not something I like though
It’s allowed. You just have to make sure you don’t get in anyone’s way and go back to normal speed when ATC come on basically 😊

Yep happens to me too, its a render distance problem and I assume it depends on your Level of Detail
How do you get the fbw a380 in msfs24?
use the development build and it will work
34😂😂😂😂
Wait it's already 2034??
@fssim6825 Yes woks fine, better than some of the 'native' aircraft in 2024 for me. Same goes for the FBW A32NX.
The VRAM bug is very annoying but SU1 + DLSS 4 and 2K texture mod for this aircraft make it very usable.
^beta
Haha well done!
Great video but I personally think that MSFS2024 is more like an arcade game than a sim like MSFS2020. My personal opinion.

I do the long hauls overnight. So most of the cruise happens while I sleep. However if I do one in the day I’ll disconnect and use time acceleration
How do you make the game not pause after a while after you go afk?
