I always felt that Jamiroquai superceded Curiosity Killed The Cat. Both acts came out of West London and both specialised in playing white boy funky soul music.
As a fan of 'Curiosity', it pains me to say that you cannot dispute the fact that it was a live performance - because there were absolutely shite!!! (sorry) Despite the above, I often listen to their brilliant (studio) work - that's how RUclips's powerful and effective algorithm has managed to present me with this howler.
It wasn't utter shite, disagree there-I had also seen them live as a kid in the 80's + 90's and they were not absolutely shite! Do you own both of their hit albums then?
Good to see a live version of this song, I prefer these live backing singers to watching miming or having the backing track. I think the girls are pretty hot too! so that helps.
Fred Chopin.....they totally spoiled the performance, it would have been better to have a backing track with the backing vocals. They were beyond awful!
atoosas I think Ben was slowly losing his hair back in the days when Curiosity Killed The Cat began, and it was one reason why he wore hats in photos, music videos and interviews. 😃
This takes me back to some great memories of the 80s. Superb music.
So interesting to see the bands of the past playing again years later. Loved their music, but didn't realise they were performing in the late 80's.
They had been performing since 1984, but had chart success in last part of the mid 80's in 1986!
These Cats can really play, great tune by a forward looking Band. Ben's the magic man
Man, still on point Ben!!!
After so many years.
Este vídeo tem mais de 20 anos ...🤔
His voice is really good here.
Amazing live performance, sounds like a different version

Apart from the logistics of it...
I dont feel Jamiroquai were like anything Curiosity.
Jamiroquai were acid jazz primarily.
@SpaceHCowboy : I agree. Curiosity were like a more current version of a band like Level 42.
Ben still sounds good. The band could be a little tighter. Thanks for posting this.
Richard O'Brian has a great voice
why didn't they play misfit, that's one of the best songs of the 80's

Ben sounded great those background singers were hot doodoo.

Love the English language plus such a lovely song!
Still sounds good Love it x
Still my curiosity x love this voice
Brilliant Hairstyle. Oh it's just like mine. haha
Great Band though.
OMG! Those backing vocalists sound like cats being strangled. Such a shame
Curiosity is killing them 😂
Good thing in 2021 is Ben could bring his 80s looks and be right in the center of the fashion zeitgeist
Great video. I sure wish these guys would make another go at it.
@tvgoldenboy That is Miguel Drummond, the original drummer.
Awesome!!! Why oh why couldn't this have lead to a permanent reunion for these guys???
Yeh! I must say that Ben still has it!
Silky smooth groove.
Did Ben need those sunglasses?
OMG backing singers are horrendous!
The backing singers killed the cat!!!
Meeoooowwwww lol
and saxophone player out of tune too
well, you are wrong. they were four in CKTC - and all four of them are in this 'reunion'
ben, nick on bass, miguel on drums and julian on guitar.
I purchased this debut by them and I was impressed !
I came here for the sax solo...unfortunately he played a completely different tune :(
Backing vocals bad, Ben was flat a lot too. Likely to be a monitor problem.
Mr Han Man likely to be a drug problem!
Naaaaaa, likely he's just a shit singer.
i can hear some stereo Mc's in there who influenced who?
I LOVED the original video to this but I can't find it on RUclips....can anyone shed any light please????
It's on youtube,do u mean back in 86 87 yeah it's on
Quamby62 Here you go. 😃

Shame theyre out of tune tho!

Agree here too. I actually really like the way Ben sings this here.
But ACK! What happened to his hair??
atoosas I think Ben was slowly losing his hair back in the days when Curiosity Killed The Cat began, and it was one reason why he wore hats in photos, music videos and interviews. 😃
Great vocals
Stupendo! Amore! Coraggio.
BACKUP SINGERS WERE HIRED FROM HOME DEPOT 🤮
Seen them livw in the 80s
well at least we know it is live....they might have put some reverb or maybe even a gag on the girls!!
BEN V P BRILLIANT LIVE PERFORMANCE MINT
MEGASTAR
i always love tall bald guys! xx
@Mr V 🤣🤣🤣
Where’s the French hat? OMG!!
Bet that lassie he dated on first date, wishes she had no handed her phone to mum lol, think it pissed him off
Who's the presenter? I forget her name now
bit late but its angela griffin
the hostess is so beautiful she steals the entire video
indeed
Backing singers were shite Ben don't look well and his vocals just seemed out of touch fantastic band and I love them
Some things should be left in the past. This is shocking
Agreed!
The backing vocals were not as bad as the Ill fitting coat that the guy with the bald head was wearing.
wow - well observed! LOL
preppy
