- Curiosity Killed the Cat - Down to Earth (Official Music Video) Remastered
"Down to Earth" is a song by English band Curiosity Killed the Cat, released in November 1986 by Mercury Records as the second single from their debut album Keep Your Distance. It was the band's biggest hit, peaking at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.
Curiosity Killed the Cat was a British pop band that achieved success in the UK in the late 1980s, with hit singles such as "Down to Earth", "Misfit" and "Ordinary Day", from their No. 1 debut album, Keep Your Distance. This was followed by Getahead with the accompanying hit "Name and Number", that was recreated by De La Soul in "Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey)".

One of the most underrated bands of all time, criminal really.
😅
One album wonders. I remember them and to call them underrated is ridiculous
Parents of Ben knew Rolling Stones.... Great ppl to know
I totally agree with that!
@@markdaly1648you missed the point 😂
My elder brother who passed away in 2018 used to love this song so much in the 80s..listening to this song tonight after so many years brings back so many memories..rest well Big Bro ❤️
@annabimundialfun839 thanks..I appreciate it so much ❤️
This band deserved a lot more respect. They really produced some great tunes.
💯
How this was never a hit in the US is totally beyond me. And during the 2nd British Invasion of the '80s when UK acts ruled the charts!
I think they were an example of a band trying to look cool without being cool, unlike several of the bands at the peak of the 2nd British Invasion; when I saw Andy Warhol in their Misfit video, they seemed like the name-droppers that want to appear to be something by association but actually are not. They also didn't have a sound that distinguished them as British; in that regard, I feel like Living in a Box were similar, and they too were something of a flash in the pan.
Sounds better than music of today
Class , pure , class !!!!!!
80s song but sounded so 90s, ahead of its time
What a song! Takes me straight back to the lovely 80's.
Yes,indeed. It became their breakthrough hit in January 1987 and spent three weeks at number 3 in the UK chart.
Beautiful guys those days. Love it.
I remember buying this CD & playing it over & over. Loved this track
Groovy! 1987 was definitely their year but was pretty much their only year in the music world.
Still one of my favorite Song from the 80s
Herd this back in the late 80s, it still has the same magical effect on me 😅
One of the best tunes that year. The brief carefree footage from Chinatown, Soho really adds to the video.
Always love playing Curiosity. Brilliant songs that still sound amazing. 🌟🌟💯💯💚💚💚🤗
Great song and loved their first album.
For a time there, during 1987, CKTC stood head and shoulders above the rest of the sophisti-pop mobs around at that time, with this, even more eclectic blend of pop, jazz, funk, ska, scat….
Love old tracks with female background singers
Those were the days 🥰🥰
Just discovered this tune and I can’t stop listening!
E fai bene
Great band, love the lead Singer caps.
👍 ALL RIGHT 👍 HEY BUD LETS PARTY 🎉

Mr. You are a great dancer ....
De mis favoritas, super banda muy subestimada.
The most underrated song of the 80`s
love it
El video está muy bueno, me encanta el manejo de la cámara y la música espectacular, la tengo entre mis preferidas, 😃🪷
Lead singer still looks like this judging by what I saw on the BBC4 documentary The Story of TOTP 1987.
He does other than he’s bald now.
He doesn't look well at all, based on when he was on First Dates.
@@Odo55that's a shame! Ben was adorable. Their music is still amazing and I love listening to them. 💯💚💚🤗
Ogni volta che la risento, ancora mi emoziona ❤🎵🎶💖
Thanks for the music, Ben 🎧🎶🎵❣️& band .
I miss you so much❤️❤️❤️☀️
Meravigliosi ❤❤❤
Good looking lot aren't they! But who is the dark haired woman in the background on some sort of percussion? She's not mentioned in their WikiPedia entry.
Prototype Jamiroquai
hola ruben de benamaurel hos quiere mucho siempre hale muy buenas tardes gente mia
Takes me back to getting ready on a Saturday night to go out with your mates and couple of bottles of gaymers olde english cider 😂 class!
Love love love!!! 🤍
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
whatever happened to this band? this album was amazing...
They had a 2 year career then fizzled out like a lot of bands from that era, like Go West and It Bites.
🍃🌻🍃❣
💕
Come down from drugs reference? 🤔
Ma dove siete .....?
Was the lead singer bald?
He always had that hat on
He wasn’t then, but he is now.
Jamiroquai was a clone of this band without the songwriting talent or melody.
Lol.
That's a lie but you do you...
I liked the comment because for sure they got their influences from them. I hear Brand New Heavies, Sade, Jamiriquai obviously Stevie Wonder plays a great part in influencing everybody anyway
Stevie is the greatest of all time. He just needs to leave some disciples to pave the way
