salmon is too good to be grilled. all of the juice and flavor from the actual fish falls out. don't grill a salmon. it didn't die to be mistreated so poorly.
I made the poached Salmon for myself and it was very flavorful. It was the healthiest method to cook the salmon. I squeezed lemon juice on top and it did the trick. Super satisfied! 🙂
A) poached salmon is served with a Mouseline or Aioli or any number of sauces. Never alone! B) Pan fry is only for those who WILL eat the crispy skin. C) When oven-baked ( paper or not ), the temp should NEVR exceed 250 F. in order to "slowly" cook the filet evenly.
Wow, wow, wow. This video is amazing; thank you so much for it. So helpful. I watched it and tried the instructions for baking the salmon, because of all the positive feedback in regards to the baking option. It turned out so well that my brother shared it with one of his friends, who then wanted more of it. And just like the video said, it was so easy to make. I'm mindblown that something so easy to make could turn out so good. Everyone enjoyed it. Thanks again.
I love a whole salmon filet baked at 400 degrees for 8-9 minutes. When I take it out of the oven it is still cooking. My husband likes my picatta sauce with capers pour over. Salmon is perfect and melts in my mouth.
So many people like "Lol no seasoning" No shit??? It's fucking salmon! You eat salmon for the flavour of salmon! It's an expensive meat. If you throw fucking 24 herbs and spices on top you might as well eat pollock or straight up fish fingers
1 salmon steak 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp dill 1/4 tsp parsley 1/4 tsp Rosemary 1/4 tsp tyme Pan fry in olive oil Close to the end, add 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tsp chopped garlic, and 1/4 cup lemon juice. Finish cooking and enjoy It's my favourite recipe I've made and I hope you all love it
Living on Lake Michigan, we have the luxury of eating freshly caught freshwater salmon all the time. My go to recipe is to marinade it in a mix of soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper for a few hours. Then grill or bake. It's super yummy and the kids love it.
My personal favourite is grilled. Salt, pepper, a little bit of lemon zest, let it sit for twenty minutes then get the grill as hot as you can then grill it away. It's crispy, but not oily as you don't add any fat except the fat from inside the piece of salmon, tastes great, minimal clean up as the moment the grill cools down you can wash it. Love it
wow, i was wondering what method to use and you gave me the answer...thanks so much as i like to research the various methods and compare......food for thought
The way my Mom does it , and in my opinion the best way to do it, goes thusly: Olive oil (and I mean EVOO, accept no substitutes) and butter in a skillet, with citrus grill seasoning. Best salmon I've had anywhere. Mom always has some kind of rice made alongside it, beef or chicken flavored, but really, the salmon is a treat all by itself.
Nuclear Cryotic omg someone did this with a steak in wetherspoons it was like the perfect rare steak however personally i think its unsanitary and disgusting to even think about all the crap that was in that dishwasher
I just met my salmon, parchment paper, olive oil salt and pepper, lemon and Thyme. Brown rice, and green beans, and a glass of lemonade was so delicious.
For the poached one, they really should've used milk or some kind of stock to give it a better flavour as the water will take on a lot of the salmon's flavour, making the salmon bland. It also looks really chalky meaning it's probably overcooked - they probably should've given it 15 minutes and then checked it to see whether it was cooked through, if that's how they wanted it done.
marinate it in a mix of vinegar soy sauce lime garlic pepper and some herbs for at least 30 min to 1 and a half hours then put everything in a coal bbq inside a pocket of aluminum paper closed for 15 min then open and put something to catch smoke over the salmon (like a cacerole or more aluminum paper) for 10 min and there u have it
White fish taste so so good en papillote. I make it with some celery, carrot, onions, yellow bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, parsley, some lime juice, salt and pepper. 👌😙
In addition to the basic salt and pepper, he also added lemon and thyme. All of that is definitely seasoning that complements the natural flavor of the salmon.
Nikolas Fiedlero Ahahaha no it takes longer I think : you have to cut the salmon properly and then sushi takes forever to make... Not lazy (I love cooking and baking), I just like raw salmon better ;) Nigiri is not long to make, I agree. But cooked salmon is quite easy to make : you wrap it or put it on a shelf and just wait for your oven to cook it. Better when you're lazy lol
If you have a Dollar Tree nearby they sell a beautiful flash frozen salmon fillet, tilapia and flounder for one dollar each. The portion is generous and the quality is amazing. I have been buying these for years. Enjoy. Peace

Skin on, pan seared, skin side down 90% of the way flipped for about a minute to cook the top side then served skin side up. Crispy skin, pink in the middle, perfection.
Come on now, there’s more seasonings than just salt and pepper, and might I add the two useless sprigs of thyme that we’re pretty much just for aesthetics, smh 🤦🏽♂️
Damn. They took the skin off of the pan fried one. That's the best part about pan frying it, is the crispy skin!
Chris I know right?
Chris yeah in that regard pan fry is supreme XD
They took the skin off all of them... And all that wonderful, fatty Omega 3's right with it... :(
Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I never have crispy skin. :-(
Chris Damn neither do I, you can eat the skin?
"They all taste like salmon" 😂😂😂Lol
Yeah, it's a salmon. What did you expect?
Salmon is Salmon #human food logic 🍣
Im not being racist but you all taste the same

Sean Xu yeah the only time I've ever gone for boiled fish is in a soup
Tastes "healthy" is enough to indicates it tastes shit as fuuuuck
I wouldn't call it shit, but it tastes like cardboard.
One looks like he works all day no sleep
should fix it with wasabi soy sauce or something. something strong.
Grilled salmon.

My Cat's Breath Smells Like Cat Food I know, right? Also, I think it'd take like 30 minutes until its done, with such a low temperature
250 F?? Not 250 C?
Thanks for the tip

collin corbean no it isn't, it all depends on where you live...
collin corbean depending where u are at. I love salmon but it's expensive around my parts

ShroomWalrus Gordon Ramsays logic: SEASON YOUR FUCKING MEAT
ShroomWalrus You only need salt and pepper maybe rosemary or thyme. I definitely agree with you.
yassss shane
your supposed to season salmon with salt, pepper, lemon, rosemary, garlic etc. that shit was fucking white
I baked the salmon and my husband absolutely LOVED IT! He was going on and on about how delicious it was! He was very pleased!❤️

The first one tastes like salmon thrown in a bucket of hot water with batteries in it.

Those two sprigs of thyme chilling on the lemon during the cooking are killing me. 😂

Baked or grilled is the best way because you get the crunchy skin and soft centre.
You see the white stuff on the outside of the salmon?
That means it's overcooked. Congrats, you destroyed it.
No it isn't... It's just the fat from the meat lmao

Bork no
Bork only if it's sushi grade and most of what you will get in a supermarket or even a fishmonger will not be sushi grade.
