Loved the video format a lot! These videos have the benefit of being valuable to new and returning players, as well as people who are already in the know.
Great video! Contained a lot of juicy insights condensed into a easily consumable format. Could just be the new set hype, but your enthusiasm was super infectious as well.
I think Rezeal are the GEM of this set. His existence bring light to small keter deck. I even experienced a Hexa finished a Shiranui by riding Razeal. This dude is cooking for all of us
I asked and you answered! Thank you very much! I'm someone who enjoys seeing a set from design perspective. This set (like usual) has many generic cards but gives special supports to 18 archetypes; six new ridelines, six ones from QSD, and six older ones (Magnolia, Greedon, Kairi, Eugene, Gravidia, and Alden). Each nation gets three and that's really neat. Assuming this is gonna be a pattern, that means set 2 would do the same. QSD is a certainty, and the six 'new' ridelines would be Zorga, the other Fated (forgot his name), the soon-to-be-revealed Graiadora, and three more (I'm excited to see them revealed). What concerns me is that considering Rezael is the protagonist's boss that could mean the Keter support would go to it rather than a new boss. The older six ones have been shown to be Orfist, Solrairon, and Gandeeva. My prediction for Stoicheia and Dark States would be Flagburg and Baromagnes (or maybe grade 4 Bruce). Lyrical is too diverse for me to guess this early. From this pattern I would assume they'd strengthen the QSD bosses over time, while the new ridelines especially the fated ones like Varga are already pretty competitive because it won't get supported every set. Generic cycle cards once again are some of the best designed cards Bushiroad has ever done to this game (if not for their prices 😅), and energy surely gives more design space that has never been explored before. DZ gets off a really good start and I'm so excited for the future. Personally, I would like extra boosters themed around encounter cards, or stride cards, or a particular nation (like a Brandt Gate only sets that give support to forgotten BG bosses), or even Fighter's Collection (supporting a bunch of bosses at once) because as new ridelines keep coming it's gonna be difficult to support them all in main boosters. Sorry for rambling I just wanted to share my thoughts lol
I loved this format. I was expecting to see deck lists, but I'm totally digging the stars. I'd love to see them come back with updates and reflections on your impressions once the deck lists are more settled and shareable
this weekend, im gonna participate in my first local tournament with a barely upgraded Keter Santuary start deck... this video just makes my confidence lower that it should be. thanks diffight (love the video)
This was an interesting format of video that i was not expecting, but I liked it! Quick spark notes on everything that people should know coming into this format. I know Shiranui is going to get hit, but I honestly cant wait. This format is so fun besides him, every tournament I feel pain when I face him in Rounds 3-4.
this felt fine to watch, i would prefer this style over just seeing a deck list and going from that & seeing the power level with the stars on screen helped me out more on understanding the decks than just hearing how powerful one dick might and/or will be oh and now that i think about it this feels kind of like your set breakdown but for the dz era
Definitely approve of this PowerPoint presentation style of content for meda relevant things. Would like to see more videos like this in the future. 🙂🌟
The college feel of these kinda vids invites some meme potential (ie Shiranui slide having JUST the copypasta), so props for holding down the fort and making it informative A memey powerpoint vid would be funny though 👀
One thing i noticed playing direful dolls against varga and the stride decks is if you get set up and stablize you just straight up win but if you can't you immediately lose
Cool new format, might be good to do more like this. On another note, anyone has anyopinion on the glitter decks with the new promos? And does anybody know when they're coming to eng version?
Pls don't forget that Christianos has best access to using the nectar of sensationalism order, providing +15k power(at least) and an additional crit with 2 attacks to back it up. Basically a weaker maelstrom set up as it can do it for 3 attacks
Hear me out, Overlord Crest: You get it with Striding The Purge. Auto: every time an overlord activates a Skill that requires Counterblast of 2 or more, Soulblast 1 Grade 3 or discard card with a total of grade 3 to CC2 and give a grade 4 or greater Vanguard the ability to not lose Drive checks until end of turn CONT: All overlords base power becomes 13000 hearts included CONT: During your turn your front row gains 5000 power for each open RC on your opponent’s field (Accel Markers included) CONT: When your Overlord unit is attacking a rearguard, your opponent cannot guard (blitz order allowed) Maybe take away the power up for open RC but it seems fair to me in premium
I really love Direful doll deck. It really suits my playstyle, but I hope the deck get a bit more supports. Maybe searcher, EC, power up or cards for early game. Just any 1 of these would make the deck very strong. I tried Varga a few times. While I understand the appeal of the deck, i really dislike the fact that you can get damage deny and make the deck feels way less fun to play.
I think people put a lot of stock on the new g2 operator. Not saying it's a bad card but as it is for the welstra deck, she's not a good fit. Going first, if the opponent's smart you have very few cbs to use which are already reserved for welstra's DS, maximum, AND maybe freiheit. And on succeding turns the enemy could (and probably should) still damage deny you where you really can just spend it on maximum. I also think the deck is not bad going 2nd. Because of the sattelite, you can reach 9 energy, which you can use to draw 1 and still have enough for welstra. Also you would likely have more cbs to work with as most likely the opponent will put a lot of pressure on their first g3 turn. Edit:going second guarantees you a lubetzal so that's one less card to hard mulligan than if you go first
If anything people should put more stock in berjina instead of the new g2. She can operate on main which can open up a lot more possibilities 1. She can operate lubetzal on main to dig for your other operators/persona ride copies 2. She can operate maximum to retire rears and reduce the opp vg power BEFORE even starting the battl phase. So even if she just hangs out in the backrow because you want to put double freiheit on front. It wouldn't be that bad of a play. Also she can draw 1 for sb2. Which does come up albeit usually once per game
Couldn't hear a word you said, was jamming to the Sonic Mania OST (kidding) Honestly, with DivineZ they made Keter a lot more fun to play with Sarevsael/Rezael. Making them essentially "Keter toolbox the deck" you can just slam in a bunch of generic cards and see what sticks for the most part and I'm hoping that Cellgaon will be accessible in Festival Collection 2024/Sneak Peak Promo/Box Topper/etc. Looking forward to play DZ format in... Oh dear... April/May 😢
Magnolia G4 is more defensive than Masques because the latter relies on the promo to be very defensive while G4 turns the whole board into a defensive piece, and you draw 3 cards per drive check which enhances your hand. So offense in Masques is greater than G4 but defense is greater in G4 than Masques
totally disagree "whole board into defensive piece", g2 shield value only have 5k, while g1 and g3 dont even have intercept keywork so cannot even intercept at the first place.
@@senjo8169 Magnolia Elder makes your whole board available to guard lol people are even running that G3 staple that gains 10k shield if the opponent hits triggers
@@gabrielneira5159 That does not give them Intercept though. It just means units who have Intercept can use the keyword from the backrow. Intercept only works on Front Row units, so Magnolia Elder basically says "ignore the front row clause of intercept rules".
So sorry have to vent (kinda?). Greedon is by far the most under researched deck by god he was a meta contender before Masque and the second he came out it was freakin insane. My friend is the Greedon main in question and I want everyone to know you don't break the hand. ever. I play some of the decks with the highest offensive output and I can assure you. You don't break it. I have only actually got him to 7 in the few times he bricked (about 5 in whats close to the hundred matches we've played.) and what annoys me? when everyone finally realised he was good? They still didn't do it quite right, every time I see a Greedon top I check their list hoping that someone cracked the case and every single godamn time the list sucks. anyway sorry for the vent, while its not my place to say all of Greedon's 'secrets' one bit of advice.
