Only one episode in and Akina might be my favourite protagonist in Vanguard's history! His compassion towards his sister and others is so sweet, you can see how much he cares for others! Even in the opening, you see Akina giving Suo his Umbrella to stop getting wet by the rain, that's just the kind of man Akina is. Akina punching Gab Kamijou Touma style was also based and I can't stop watching it! Given how people have bought up the Fate nods with DivneZ, I love how they went all in with it with Akina's dad being seen as a Hero of Justice by his sister. Very much gives me Shirou Emiya/Kiritsugu vibes! I look forward to seeing where the rest of the season goes.

In the previous 5 seasons, we didn't get to see the starting grade 0s or any of the ones in the rideline in action (except the grade 3s). The fact that they actually animated the grade 0s is already a win in my book.
yeah, just the first episode and i already like it more then Dress series,I'm a huge fan of Kagero and I love Yuyu but the show just keep screwing him up and the one very thing thts missing in that series is the battle and the units animation because but they changed it here

This is such a pleasant surprise I thought it'd be much longer until we got any episode this year and holy crap I love this so much, seeing Masanori and Megumi again fills my heart, of course I'm glad to see Raika again too pulling out another dub, but my favorite part WAS THE RIDE ANIMATION like it was straight out of the OG! I'm looking forward to this so much!

The DivineZ Episode was glorious it's a mix of OG and G Vanguard Full Animated Units, Kamen Rider Ryuki and Kamen Rider Geats + time leap of Chrono stuff, and Fate vibes. I'm so excited for Full Fight Tutorial Episode Next week.

Considering this was teased in the final episode of will dress S3, chances are this is the direction they wanted to go regardless of the viewers' input and complaints (though I won't deny of the possibility of them taking some inputs to consideration)

Been with vanguard since 2011 and like with Pokemon, yugioh and beyblade I'm just here for the ride having seen every season of the aforementioned shows as vanguard is my favorite cardgame anime so I'm curious as to see how this will do

I like how they grounded the characters and spent time introducing each of the fated before going into the fantastical things of the Vanguard world. Is it perfect? No. Is it better then before? Could be depending of how they write this season. Definitely interested.

This has left a great first impression on me of what the next stage of vanguard is like. I'm glad they're returning to the season 1 ways in the sense the characters meet their "avatar" units. I still enjoy season 1 CFV the most (probably because that's what I grew up on).
A very slow start considering the rest of the tutorial fight got push to the 2nd episode. I'm totally find with that since it gives us a clearer first impression of this entirely new group of main characters.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this new Cardfight Vanguard. I noticed that the Dragon plushie has the same voice as Lelouch from Code Geass. The second I saw the main character punched the plushie I was shocked at first but then started laughing madly after a few seconds. He looks almost similar to the main character who came before him...Kondo Yuyu

This is SO MUCH better than Overdress was. The new characters and tone shift really made a difference. This series is capturing what made the OG, G, and V series good. Im actually excited to watch this.

new cast? Taizo and Masanori aren't new, also Megumi isn't new as well (yes she's in the series too). Fresh new start? Although it has new protagonist and new characters this continues where Will + Dress left dude, so it's not a fresh start, since it continues exactly where Will +Dress ended when something fell off the sky

Now this is the Vanguard that I grew up with. That "astral projection on Planet Cray" scene is the sole reason why I am hooked to Aichi's era, and now they introduce it again. I like the implementation of the real-world experiences the last three seasons introduced, but this type of storyline, the lore, the mysticism of the Vanguard world, is why i am staying
Just going to say, imo, best starting episode any of the vanugard animes. Spoiler below YES! More units than just the main grade 3's and most important rearguard let's go!!!!
For people thinking you won't have to watch Dress series to watch DivineZ you have to. Although DivineZ will go back to the supernatural theme, that same thing was teased at the end of Will +Dress also, Taizo, Masanori and Megumi are all characters that had their story in Dress series and these 3 return for DivineZ, not only that but DivineZ continues where Will +Dress ended so to fully understand this series you'll need to still watch the Dress series even if you didn't like it because it was a more realistic approach, you'll still need it for DivineZ. So supernatural fans be happy that supernatural stuff is back but you still need the Dress series, because if 3 characters from there are back who knows who else might come back
I don't know why it seems so many people were disappointed at how the earlier D-series seasons were so grounded in reality... it's something different, sure, but it's... not that big of a deal, right...? I get not liking the different way the fights were presented, but complaining about the lack of supernatural elements? I just can't understand why that would matter so much...
@@Rinko-hoshi I enjoyed and liked all the D series, but there were so many people hating on it for being realistic it was getting annoying . And I did like the realistic approach. But OG fans will always complain, some still complain that DivineZ doesn't have all units animated as if that was possible without hurting the Anime budget wise and quality wise. Some Old fans can't accept change, same thing happened with Pokemon Horizons which doesn't have Ash anymore. They can't accept different things, they become toxic and unbearable when they don't get the same thing they have watched for years
I agree with all you guys it’s better to see it this way they’re going back to their first way when Vanguard first came out and they explained everything grade 0 upgrade one grade two grade 3 they explained it better for people who did not know how to play this way people who weren’t around during that generation of generation one can now learn how to play
Akina reminds me of Danji, they both are hardworking, a little goofy guys who cares about everybody. I also feel guilty for thinking that Akina and Gabwelius' first encounter was a little funny...
Review of Ep 1 !SPOILERS! READ ONLY AFTER WATCHING. Okay so I was late for this premiere, but I came around the 15 minute Ad Mark and I got to say after rewatching it it's not a bad episode actually very interesting. Akina is a very caring dynamic character and honestly we get to learn a good chunk about him as well. Gabwelius is absolutely adorable and the Lelouch voice is growing on me with his cute appearance. And of course that one scene that absolutely killed me was when Akina decked him sending em blasting off again!! 😂 In all honesty this episode made me feel--Good. I wasn't really bored more so intrigued by Akina and his sister and Nao who is pretty cute we'll have to see more of her in the next episode when they're fighting. Overall this feels like a way better start than any of the previous seasons of either OD or WD. Let's just see if they can keep this momentum going.
I liked the episode. Seeing the cameos of the old Characters was also really cool. Megumi looks really good with a ponytail....and the new MC is also not bad. Maybe we also get some more animations for the rear guards this time. I am excited!
I can tell this is going to be a another good season also I like in the beginning how they said people have been playing since ancient times like the early 2000s were ancient times come on I’m not that old
DivineZ is good, i hope this series keep battle royale concept even this series don't have battle of life and death like Ryuki and Geats, also based on Opening, look like future fight will be Nao vs Mikoto, Taizo vs Masanori and Akina vs Suou.
Nice to see a new face and a new adventure about save the life of a precius one, like first season of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but new main character is gonna need a quick grow up
So the masked guy at the end is the real form of that dragon plushie. Wonder if he would card fight in later episodes... Last time when Fukuyama Jun voiced a card battler, that was Varte Parx from Battle Spirits.
All the og and g series fanboys are conspiring that the plushie is actually gyze in disguise or someone who's secretly planning to revive gyze. Since theyre conspiring that the 6fated cards are the new reference for the 6zereoth dragons. Conspiring that its another possible teaser that some of the og and g series characters may return in this series. Which wouldn't make sense since we got the explanation that the og and g series "earth" is completely separate from od and divinez "earth." So it wouldn't make any sense to bring back any of the og and g series characters back. Even doe yes the nostalgia would be amazing and it'd be dope to see aichi and chrono team up with yuyu. There would be too big of a plot hole to thoroughly explain how the og and g series earth got connected to the od and divinez earth especially since the stride gate has been destroyed.

Very nice episode. I'm glad that the protagonist has a more mature voice than Yuyu and Aichi. The only thing I would like is a protagonist who has already been playing Vanguard for some time and who hides that he is strong. Just my personal wish.
I Love this already. This show pay homage to the original by going back to the roots: Cray. Also it’s insane that this is basically like Holy Grail War in Fate, but with Vanguard instead. Akina is even better protagonist than I Imagine (HE PUNCH A PLUSHIE TO THE STAR 🤣🤣). I also love how the first fight for the next ep is center on Dragon and Keter, just like the OG (Nao is like Kai in this position). Overall good start for the new season. Lets see what this season is all about 😎
I am invested in this new series. OverDress did not do it for me. DivineZ has a great first impression. I love the punch to the dragon because I think anyone would have reacted in a similar manner. The characters are interesting so far. We have a plot with logic in it so far.
I loved Cardfight Vanguard, which had different series and anime protagonists and different timelines. I loved Yu-Gi-Oh! Now we're starting to get into the Yugioh Zexal/Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V vibe.

So, overDress Cray ( Planet Cray after Gyze's defeat 3000 years ago ) got cut off from Multiverse till OverDress Yu-yu vs Mirei round 2 and WillDress Yu-yu vs Gui round 2

This is SO MUCH better than Overdress was. The new characters and tone shift really made a difference. This series is capturing what made the OG, G, and V series good. Im actually excited to watch this.

new cast? Taizo and Masanori aren't new, also Megumi isn't new as well (yes she's in the series too). Fresh new start? Although it has new protagonist and new characters this continues where Will + Dress left dude, so it's not a fresh start, since it continues exactly where Will +Dress ended when something fell off the sky

Now this is the Vanguard that I grew up with. That "astral projection on Planet Cray" scene is the sole reason why I am hooked to Aichi's era, and now they introduce it again. I like the implementation of the real-world experiences the last three seasons introduced, but this type of storyline, the lore, the mysticism of the Vanguard world, is why i am staying

For people thinking you won't have to watch Dress series to watch DivineZ you have to.
Although DivineZ will go back to the supernatural theme, that same thing was teased at the end of Will +Dress also, Taizo, Masanori and Megumi are all characters that had their story in Dress series and these 3 return for DivineZ, not only that but DivineZ continues where Will +Dress ended so to fully understand this series you'll need to still watch the Dress series even if you didn't like it because it was a more realistic approach, you'll still need it for DivineZ.
So supernatural fans be happy that supernatural stuff is back but you still need the Dress series, because if 3 characters from there are back who knows who else might come back
I don't know why it seems so many people were disappointed at how the earlier D-series seasons were so grounded in reality... it's something different, sure, but it's... not that big of a deal, right...? I get not liking the different way the fights were presented, but complaining about the lack of supernatural elements? I just can't understand why that would matter so much...
@@Rinko-hoshi I enjoyed and liked all the D series, but there were so many people hating on it for being realistic it was getting annoying . And I did like the realistic approach. But OG fans will always complain, some still complain that DivineZ doesn't have all units animated as if that was possible without hurting the Anime budget wise and quality wise. Some Old fans can't accept change, same thing happened with Pokemon Horizons which doesn't have Ash anymore. They can't accept different things, they become toxic and unbearable when they don't get the same thing they have watched for years

I agree with all you guys it’s better to see it this way they’re going back to their first way when Vanguard first came out and they explained everything grade 0 upgrade one grade two grade 3 they explained it better for people who did not know how to play this way people who weren’t around during that generation of generation one can now learn how to play

Akina reminds me of Danji, they both are hardworking, a little goofy guys who cares about everybody. I also feel guilty for thinking that Akina and Gabwelius' first encounter was a little funny...
So this is where the sobrenatural cardfights begin, didn't watch OverDress or will+Dress but maybe will watch this
Theres characters coming from will +dress and overdress and two of them are main in this season so might watch those to get a feeling of them

!SPOILERS! READ ONLY AFTER WATCHING.
Okay so I was late for this premiere, but I came around the 15 minute Ad Mark and I got to say after rewatching it it's not a bad episode actually very interesting. Akina is a very caring dynamic character and honestly we get to learn a good chunk about him as well. Gabwelius is absolutely adorable and the Lelouch voice is growing on me with his cute appearance. And of course that one scene that absolutely killed me was when Akina decked him sending em blasting off again!! 😂
In all honesty this episode made me feel--Good. I wasn't really bored more so intrigued by Akina and his sister and Nao who is pretty cute we'll have to see more of her in the next episode when they're fighting.
Overall this feels like a way better start than any of the previous seasons of either OD or WD. Let's just see if they can keep this momentum going.
I liked the episode. Seeing the cameos of the old Characters was also really cool. Megumi looks really good with a ponytail....and the new MC is also not bad. Maybe we also get some more animations for the rear guards this time. I am excited!

DivineZ is good, i hope this series keep battle royale concept even this series don't have battle of life and death like Ryuki and Geats, also based on Opening, look like future fight will be Nao vs Mikoto, Taizo vs Masanori and Akina vs Suou.
Nice to see a new face and a new adventure about save the life of a precius one, like first season of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but new main character is gonna need a quick grow up
I hope we get to see Michiru and Danji again in the new season. Also Akina meeting Yu-Yu would be nice too

Last time when Fukuyama Jun voiced a card battler, that was Varte Parx from Battle Spirits.
All the og and g series fanboys are conspiring that the plushie is actually gyze in disguise or someone who's secretly planning to revive gyze. Since theyre conspiring that the 6fated cards are the new reference for the 6zereoth dragons. Conspiring that its another possible teaser that some of the og and g series characters may return in this series. Which wouldn't make sense since we got the explanation that the og and g series "earth" is completely separate from od and divinez "earth." So it wouldn't make any sense to bring back any of the og and g series characters back. Even doe yes the nostalgia would be amazing and it'd be dope to see aichi and chrono team up with yuyu. There would be too big of a plot hole to thoroughly explain how the og and g series earth got connected to the od and divinez earth especially since the stride gate has been destroyed.

Very nice episode. I'm glad that the protagonist has a more mature voice than Yuyu and Aichi. The only thing I would like is a protagonist who has already been playing Vanguard for some time and who hides that he is strong. Just my personal wish.

I Love this already. This show pay homage to the original by going back to the roots: Cray. Also it’s insane that this is basically like Holy Grail War in Fate, but with Vanguard instead. Akina is even better protagonist than I Imagine (HE PUNCH A PLUSHIE TO THE STAR 🤣🤣). I also love how the first fight for the next ep is center on Dragon and Keter, just like the OG (Nao is like Kai in this position). Overall good start for the new season. Lets see what this season is all about 😎
I am invested in this new series. OverDress did not do it for me. DivineZ has a great first impression. I love the punch to the dragon because I think anyone would have reacted in a similar manner. The characters are interesting so far. We have a plot with logic in it so far.

I loved Cardfight Vanguard, which had different series and anime protagonists and different timelines. I loved Yu-Gi-Oh! Now we're starting to get into the Yugioh Zexal/Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V vibe.
