Music has been my constant companion, and my lifeline for 40 some odd years.💛

I cry tears of joy everyday sining worship music out loud.
Most days I cry several times a day as I spend quality time with God.
I grew up on secular music, as I wasn't raised in a religous home.
And it was kind of rare for me to cry.
It would take a special song at the right time, and it wasn't a feeling of love.
I wonder if spending qualityt time with God singing worship and listening to the Bible on a phone app is better than therapy?

I very glad to have found your channel and look forward to your work. I'm constantly reminded of lyrics from a song by the group Frou Frou, "what good is a song if it doesn't make a complete stranger break down and cry." Music helps me every day, if only to experience beauty in a very uncertain and ugly world. I would love to hear your assessment of Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat." The complexity of the relationships in this song and the emotions in the lyrics are profound.

Maybe you can take a look at the music of Norwegian singer/songwriter Aurora Aksnes (AURORA). I have the feeling, that you will find many of her songs having some 'healing power'.

Whilst REN is beautifully insightful regarding psychological abuse and trauma, NF is poetic and raw from someone who has lived it. Again as to people who have lived it and able to portray trauma, try James blunt with monsters and the girl that never was. Hopefully those experiencing similar can gain some level of solace from your reactions / reviews.
