Thanks! I'm out of the public sector now. Using/ developing my skills to work on first responder vehicles now. You'll still see me work on cars on RUclips though.
Do you think using a flat mesh type that's only 1/16 inch thick would work...Granted it may not eye candy pleasing but functional...You said he has to go in for the car jack...It could be easily get ugly in a dark emergency....My JBL Stealth box has the speaker facing down with grill and nearly impossible to damage...One of the most professional boxes that look OEM with fuction over fashion.
I have the same one and honestly this was a great video. Thank you for showing in full detail on how to custom build your own box. If possible what brand and model was the remote start? I am currently in the market for one and not sure which one would be a perfect fit. Also what is the perfect heat gun to do my tints?
I need to ask a question and I’m hoping you can answer it. I’m in the process of replicating this in my 2004 crv and I’m trying to figure the volume of that spare tire location. I am trying to put a single 12” pioneer in but am trying to figure out if I’m going to suffocate the sub or not. Thank you for the inspiration. I was struggling with trying to find an alternative to a massive box.
Could you measure the volume like a rectangle and subtract 10% to factor in the curves of the floor. You can add polyfill to the box to make it "bigger".
Any ideas for a basic sound system for 2020 Honda CRV EX-L… don’t need body rocking bass but some bass would be nice as I have none and my back speakers don’t seem to work, at least I can’t hear them
Wouldn't it make sense to angle the speaker towards the rear end to bounce the sound off the trunk into the front aka the sound stage? Not that you won't hear a JL back there.
@@AnthonyJ350 awesome and maybe I've seen that stuff called Dynamat I appreciate it it sounds very Hollow in the back of these things doesn't matter what type of speaker you put in there
I have a CRV also and have been looking for a subbox to fit in that space.JL Audio used to make a stealthbox for it but it's been discontinued. Are you interested in selling me one?😀
I'm in NYC so getting my vehicle into your shop would be hard since you are located in Canada , I was hoping that you saved the measurements during your build. Thanks anyway.
I don’t like it. Do it again but this time make it better. Maybe a stripper pole and some leds? Animatronic amp rack that looks like an animaniac. Definitely needs more 4” furry carpeting on the headliner. For instance just as an idea because I’ve done this to mine, the drivers side seat unzips to reveal what I call my king of the road throne which allows for a good speedump which saves tons of time on them long hauls to Vegas. Sometimes I just leave my pants down and let the ac water drip me clean as a bidet. Things like legal prostitution I think is what this build is missing.
How can I get one of these in my CRV??? My crv recently gotten broken into and they stole my JBL subwoofer box and Pioneer double din.. fucking scumbags
JL Audio might still offer a Stealthbox for these. Or you can have your local install shop make one. I would also look into an aftermarket security system.
That's a great build. Slick and clean.
Thank you! I really prefer simple clean durable installs. I post lots of stuff we do in the shop on Instagram that doesn't make it to video.
I wish you were somewhere closer to me. I would 100% hire you to put something together for my 1999 CRV. That's amazing.
Thanks! I'm out of the public sector now. Using/ developing my skills to work on first responder vehicles now. You'll still see me work on cars on RUclips though.
Good job...I like the attention to detail...I might have added a grill to the sub for added protection.
Good idea but it would hit the table. The table acts like a grille anyways

The remote starter in the video was an older Viper unit 5606v. I also recommend using a Compustar CM7200.
This is a great video, but how did you build the tub!? is that explained in another video?
I explain the concept here ruclips.net/video/TPrw7Vkiq2E/видео.htmlsi=WpjcDHL7yzWy2iDo

JBL makes a spare tire sub woofer.
i know you posted this videos 3 years ago but i was curious if you rember the CRV table vibrating because of the sub?
With that sub no it didn't.
Yep I did my timing belt water pump valve lash new injectors fuel filter coil rotor plug and wires all new front suspension run like a 2020 car
Nice work! Cost a little bit of money initially but you don't have a car payment now!
@@AnthonyJ350 now i want a good system
damn, system in the car is worth more than the car itself. lol
But the overall cost is low compared to a new vehicle and it has more capability
You have another video of building the box?
I have this video and some others ruclips.net/video/TPrw7Vkiq2E/видео.html
How much would you charge for an install like this?
About $2k
Wouldn't it make sense to angle the speaker towards the rear end to bounce the sound off the trunk into the front aka the sound stage? Not that you won't hear a JL back there.
I tried that once, didn't seem to make much of a difference and it was a lot of work to make the angle.
Would you build one and sell it for the right price that would make It worth it for you and if shipping was covered?!! I have a 1999 CRV also
I would have to have the vehicle in person because I use it as a mold. Your local install shop can make it. This is pretty basic fabrication.
Hw did u make the mold...did u use the plastic tub?
Used the vehicles as a mold. Taped up the whole rear of the vehicle.
How much would it be for 2011 CRV same thing you just did in the video
You'll want to ask your local install bay shop for quotes.
Did you put fiberglass around the extra spare tire Compartment?
The spare tire is mounted on the outside of the tailgate of this vehicle.
The rear speakers in a 1997 Honda CRV what can you do about making it sound more deep debase it's Hollow sounding now
Sound deaden the whole area with product like STP Canada.
@@AnthonyJ350 awesome and maybe I've seen that stuff called Dynamat I appreciate it it sounds very Hollow in the back of these things doesn't matter what type of speaker you put in there
@@derekwilson8011 JL Audio C1s or C2 6". Don't get the 6.5" it'll be a bit too big I think
I appreciate the info whatever makes it sound better is to hollow back there on those models
Any luck with those Rockville powered subs that go in the rear tire area on them
What measurement of wood did you use?
3/4 MDF
Sweet thanks

Do you guys sell that enclosure
Have to get it made custom at your local Install Shop.

What’s the cost for one of those enclosure
Typically $1200 to $1800
What size is that sub?
10"

Thanks for the feedback!
Need this done with an 15 in l7 same vehicle
It would be hard to get it under the table. That sub requires a lot more air space.
shop tour vid?
imma creep your video catalogue.
There's this video I made a little while ago ruclips.net/video/GUAjVeB1TwM/видео.html
Yo what about the spare tire
It's mounted outside on the door.
Greetings. Would you like to make a screen saver with a trailer on your channel?b`q
I'm good thanks.
