Hi iChang and Jimmy..! Thank you for accepting our invitation to balik kampung for Raya. We enjoyed having you as part of our family preparing and celebrating this very important and significant day. We hope you enjoyed the experience too..! Keep making significant and meaningful content.. follow your heart..❤
Hi Kak Muni! Thank you so much for your warm words. We really appreciate your invitation to TTFF as family 🥹 We hope that we can go back to the farm soon🥳🙏🏻
I hope we take this as a self reminder. While Ichang being a foreigner has the advantage of blending into communities of different races, we locals have fear of being rejected or offended when we face people of different skin colours. We are afraid that we're not welcomed or we might offend another race, but let us remember that we are just like Ichang, we all born in Malaysia, races is only a label, we can always live together and love each other like this, celebrating our festives together while respecting we all have different lifestyles and beliefs.
Well, I believe if you come with good intentions and watch what you said and do, you are welcomed anywhere you go. From my observations, Japanese(majority of them) are very polite and they watch what they do and say very carefully, so as not to offend anyone and from their videos we can see iCHANG and Jimmy do a lot of research of customs and traditions, this is good to do. 1 thing we can learn from the Japanese is manners and respect, you have these, you are welcomed anywhere. I'm going to say the truth here, for Chinese people, you guys are more direct and blunt, you guys don't really think before you said and do anything, this is where it can offend others, seen many times Chinese people pinch their nose out of disgust if they don't like something in public, say directly in front of non-Chinese colleagues/friends that their foods is not nice, too sweet, too much oil, all these are very offensive to other races and cultures and disastrous in a multiracial/multireligious settings. To co-exist with multi-racial and multi-religion, we must learn more tolerance and respect, think before you speak and do anything, will it offend others, Japanese people are showing us that. Japanese people level of respect towards other cultures and ethnicities is 1 level up and admirable, and this is why it is much easier for the Japanese to blend in with other cultures and for other cultures to accept them.
Thank you makcik for being a good host and a good representative of our malay culture.. everything look clean an beautiful... this is the real raya at kampung!

As muslim , they feel really sad leaving Ramadan , because it is month of holy, rewards and blessing. Ramadan literally a month of double, triple and multiple folds of rewards from God for not just fasting but also any good deeds, prayers , charity, reciting words of Quran during that month. And we feel happy for Raya (Eid), celebrate it because we have successfully done and endured the obligatory fasting for 30 days which make us a muslim
For those not familiar, in Japanese culture, playing with sparklers (bunga api) especially at a young age, has very deep and significant cultural value. In Sarawak ( the east part of Malaysia ) , we cook/boiled our ketupat with coconut milk. The outcome will be more tastier as is makes the ketupat so creamy and chewy. It also has a salty taste (comes from the coconut milk). After that we have a variety option to eat the ketupat with. Its either the heavy dish such as curry / rendang / kuah kacang or with the sweet side dish such as a homemade jam , condensed milk or with sugar. I wish you can experience our way to cook and enjoy ketupat 🥺❤️

Love watching your content, such a wonderful reminder of the beauty of Malaysia's diversity. Even though Malaysia comprise of different races (I'm Chinese myself), I see so many similarities between cultures during festive seasons (visiting family, having a good meal, playing fireworks) even in our different expressions of Malaysian's cultural identity! Would love to see you guys explore other parts of Malaysian culture too, such as Chinese, Indian, Peranakan, Iban, Kadazandusun, and many more!
Playing fireworks and give angpow is not part of malay culture. But we blend it from CNY. Maybe chinese festival look more happening that why we mix it in Raya.😂😂😂
Haha no lah. We only play firecrackers because it much safer I guess. Back then, Malay people (youngsters) used to play bamboo cannon during hari raya. And angpow, yes, it’s adaptation from other chinese culture.
Aku rasa bab duit raya or angpau tu korang silap kott , Muslim di negara² lain pun ada juga yang berbagi duit raya dan ada juga yang memberi hadiah . I think that is Muslim (around the world) culture .

Weaving the ketupat is one thing but you have to boil them for 3 hours. Luckily when we were young, my big brother will wait for the ketupat to be cooked sometimes up to 3am. Mind you we used firewood to cook. We, the young ones were assigned to catch the chickens. Not an easy task since our chicken can fly on top of the trees😅 Aahh ..those were the sweet old Raya days...

Malay Muslim always soft and kind to outside people... courtesy no. 1 to our culture, smile like flowers soft like courten or water...Thank you Allah to make use to be a Muslim kindness. Alhamdulillah
Hi IChang & Jimmy, it's so good & lucky to meet up our malaysia makcik invited. Celebrate our malaysia malay culture Ramadan & Hari Raya. Its nice u learned how to fold the ketupat very fast. Me had learned teach from my malay friends but can't make it successful. Here me wish both u & makcik family 'Selamat Hari Raya' Dan 'Sihat Selalu'😊
This one is original concept of homestay which implement by Malaysia tourism before
Wish to be invited one day to experience this kind of great moment together
温かいRayaの様子を見せてくれて、ありがとうございます。
羨ましい限りです。
Hari Raya brings us together!regardless of age, status, young & old and races!the most important is happiness in the day of celebration!!Selamat Hari Raya!
I believe this experience celebrating Hari Raya in kampung will be remembered by Ichang & Jimmy as their the best memories in Malaysia. Million thanks to Puan Muni & family for their kindness invited Ichang & Jimmy celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri together & show them our culture in harmony and family bonding ❤❤
Makan laksa johor guna tangan memang confirm orang johor. I missed my late mother. Always 1st day hari raya my mother will serve spaghetti honig for johor laksa. Hudreds of relative will visit us and enjoy the laksa johor. She left us 4 years ago
good for you both can experience balik kampung for raya. i missed the experience raya in kampung when i was a kid. I wish Puan Murni adopt me as "anak angkat" and i can balik kampung for raya again.
The Family so nice. Semoga mereka di murahkan rezeki ❤.
When i look at this i miss the vibe we had in 80s 90s with having multi culture and race celebrate everything together happily with smile.
That's why people go back home town to celebrate Hari Raya with their family. Selamat hari raya Aidilfitri
iChang & Jimmy, this is probably the best Hari Raya experience/vlog by foreigner that I watch in RUclips! You both blend well with the Lovely Family and the kampung peoples! Now you can `anyam sarung ketupat" too, its not easy at first, slowly and you'll be pro later! Nice content, I love it so much! Thanks to Kak murni & her family for their hospitality!
Even as a local, make a ketupat shell is not easy. I give up
I too wish to have a kampung like this😊. Glad u can experienced ‘balik kampung’ during this Aidilfitri and I’m so happy for you guys. Thank you Kak Muni & family for showing our raya to IChang.
good afternoon friends, I hope you are always healthy and smooth in all your activities. I am an Indonesian RUclipsr asking permission for your very good video reaction and my intention is also to tell your story to my subscribers in Indonesia and Malaysia. please allow me..
The true 'balik kampung' in essence...
return to the core of our humanity, the purity in our hearts.
Really that deep ahh😅
So beautiful celebrating Hari Raya in Malaysia 🇲🇾🇯🇵❤
Wow, this is a very nice kampung house! What a wonderful experience!
PURE KAMPUNG VIBE HARI RAYA CELEBRATION... AMAZING MOMENT 💖💙💚
That is one authentic laksa johor.. cap bntuk 8, makan dgn tangan.. good job
Jimmy blends in very well with the locals 😁. that woo woo sounds
Hahahaha u damn right..🤣🤣
You guys have the most Malaysian ‘adab’, that’s you guys easy to blend with Malaysians.
It’s so beautiful moment and we are very happy for u & Jimmy! How I wish for me to have a balik kampung like this for KL born n raised people…
maybe u can try to find a wife from the Kampung from different states... then, annually, u can balik Kampung... 🙏🙏🙏
I'm happy to see there's Malaysian people that make you feel like a real family and you can feel the feeling of balik kampung. I still need to learn how to make ketupat nasi. I only know how to make ketupat palas. Enjoy your experience of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It's so nice to meet good people. Selamat Hari Raya ichang and jimmy 🤗🥰
Wahhh, kenangan terindah buat tuan rumah dan ichang serta jimmy
What a beautiful house and compound. You both are very lucky to be invited to a Malaysian house to experience Hari Raya. Kudos to the host
You never failed to make me cry Ichang, please can you stop 😅
Hello Debbie here, Glenn and I are coming to Kuala Lumpur on 13th July till 27th July,From Australia
Been good watching you both, thankyou 😊love your videos, 😊❤❤
@@katakhijau9910 pelik you feel that way. Saya pula rasa hari Raya nmpk begitu meriah😂😂😂 I think perayaan apa2 pun meriah 😅😅
One of day I would like to go to Sarawak or Sabah to experience Hari Gawai. I think it will be very interesting.
I am also crying when saw ichang cried..so touching and hope both of you have a best experienced celebrated hari raya in malaysia village..all the best ichang and jimmy..
Wow! That’s the most precious experience a foreigner can get, to be into Hari Raya action A-Z. Well done IChang & Jimmy. Enough experience to be at par with all Malaysians now. 👍🏼💪🏾💪🏾
IChang always cry during Hari Raya...it reminds me to the last year's video on the early Raya celebration when you just arrived from Hong Kong. However, the tears reflect the sincerity IChang...thank you for having an interest in learning the Malay traditional culture. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf, Zahir dan Batin...we will be seeing the next videos for Ramadan and Raya next year.
That Kak Murni truth and deep statement...hits me! Facts..😊
These two deserves all the love. Thanks for pouring your love & unwavering support to them my Malaysian brothers/Sisters ❤️
Selamat Hari Raya!
love from Singapore
congratulations jimmy n ichang.... last year's, raya mengejut. this year, both of u betul2 raya.. selamat hari raya Aidilfitri maaf zahir dan batin all
Warm welcome good hospitality..this good example that we had good community no matter what races ...terbaik keluarga puan
Klau kite baik, semue org sayang… ❤❤❤❤❤
IChang & Jimmy will have many kampung for each festival 😍
The experience they would remember and tell their children later...
Weaving the ketupat is one thing but you have to boil them for 3 hours. Luckily when we were young, my big brother will wait for the ketupat to be cooked sometimes up to 3am. Mind you we used firewood to cook. We, the young ones were assigned to catch the chickens. Not an easy task since our chicken can fly on top of the trees😅 Aahh ..those were the sweet old Raya days...
wonderful to see Team Ichang in a real kampung setting, plus with Raya vibe too. But it was gratious of the family to invite Ichang.. I would assume, they would be super bz before and during raya.. what a nice vid . Selamat hari raya
Another excellent video by Jimmy and iChang. Sometimes I think Jimmy is a professional film producer. Always displays the positive vibe of the event beautifully. This is the reason why your channel become so popular. Congratulations and Selamat Hari Raya.
Thank you for bringing joy and tears. I felt so much warmth and connection.
you both so lucky can feel kampung and experience balik kg...most of malaysian want to feel that but dont hv chance
These are the things we take for granted, and it melts my heart to see you both genuinely love the culture. Thank you for reminding us what we have ❤❤
Not every malaysian got a kg vibe with kampung experience to feel how hari raya is in kampung way.that was 1 of style. And many more out there..for my still lucky while get kg ..and hope my child could continue thos tradition..with other poeple out there..thank you for share this video..selamat hari raya..to all malaysian
aku duk kampung pon tak pernah buat ketupat, sikit lagi jadi org mesia la ichang. we learn so much about traditional food in malaysia from you guys. even though we are malaysian
as soon as i saw the video.hit the LIKE button 1st coz i know its a video i wanted to watch. Glad to see both Ichang & Jimmy happy to experience such kg vibes that u might not easily find anywhere plus its hari raya. I wish to go back when i'm still younger. It's a reminisce..
OMG... Good job buat Akak yang melayan Ichang dan Jimmy dengan cukup baik... Ichang dan Jimmy harap suka dengan budaya kami Melayu Malaysia lebih2 lagi ketika kami menyambung Hari Raya Aidilfitri...
Nampak seronok!!! Selamat Hari Raya sekalian! Great raya celebration Jimmy & Ichang 😍😍

What a clean and beautiful kampung!
How do you find all these lovely homestays to stay? I want to visit them all, looks so calm and peaceful, away from busy city life. Kampong life is simple yet the best, I miss the kampung I used to stay in for 20+ years, now living in City and so stressful and boring 😢😢😢.
Sungkai,perak
@@akhy4281 aku google tempat ni dekat Pahang. Yg homestay iCHANG g dekat Kelantan pon best.

You look so gorgeous IChang wearing kebaya hopefully you enjoy celebrate Hari Raya at kampung 🥰
Suka sangat suasana kampung akak ni..Rumah pun cantik..dapur utk masak2 terpisah..
yang penting laman luas dan rata
I love the ppl the house the kampung vibes ❤
Selamat Hari Raya iChang & Jimmy! You’re well blend into Malaysian society now and it’s prove that you both become a Malaysian day by day..please make more Raya videos ya..Malaysian will love to having both of you for their open house..
If Ichang can weave ketupat nasi, i'm sure weaving ketupat palas will be so easy for ichang. Next challenge ketupat palas! 😂
After the elders in my family passed away included my mom, all us siblings and cousins kinda just do our own thing and go our separate way during raya.. so it's been a while and watching this really brought me back down the memory lane.. the chaotic night on eve of raya along with the chaos from the fireworks. Good times.
There's such real kampung vibe here. The video is so sentimental. I totally feel it.
It add some coolness point if you can weave the ketupat 😂 You'll feel proud among the family members
May ALLAH give u HIDAYAH ..
Aaminn Yaa Rabb
Many tourist hard to peel malaysian culture. We malaysian peel it for tourist if they were ready. Beautiful malaysia actually on malaysian people. If they accepted our weakness respectively we will honor them wholly as we could. Selamat hari raya. Forgive us whatever mistake and incovienience matters. I think my english better than before... Am i right? 🤣🤣🤣
Your english is okay. Just the spelling, 'feel' not 'peel'.
@@fittrege2778 thank you. I blaming my phone dont worry.. 🤣🤣
Thank you so much for this very heart warming video. When I watched the video, my heart felt really warm and I started to cry. I couldn’t balik kampung this year bcs of work, and because my grandpa passed away moments before raya. So the whole main family is just celebrating raya in KL. Being able to watch this felt as if we were all there with you to experience raya together. ❤
It's so nice to see. What a Malaysia and love the kampung vibe! My dad's kampung in Pahang was exactly like this. =)
Making ketupat and birds singing on the background. 🥰
pretty sure different kampung got different experiences but generally this is what Raya vibes is all about. most importantly like kak murni said its about celebrating what you achieved in 30 days of holy month Ramadhan. Selamat Hari Raya!!!
That looks like such a great experience! Hopefully one day, we will be able to experience similar! Much love ❤️
