The train at Platform 0 is the 07:00 service to Edinburgh. Calling at: Newport, Severn Tunnel Junction, Patchway, Bristol Parkway, Cheltenham Spa, Birmingham New Street, Burton-on-Trent, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Wakefield Westgate, Leeds, York, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Dunbar and Edinburgh. Platform 0 for the 07:00 service to Edinburgh.
I think it gets two CrossCountry trains a day, one to Manchester via Bristol in the morning and a return journey in the evening, but there were engineering works when this one was recorded and it went to Edinburgh instead.
I enjoyed this coverage of announcements. Where's the best place to record the announcements without the background noise disrupting the audio. Nice to see likes of Penzance, Edinburgh, Haverfordwest, Great Malvern etc. Lol, lol Ealing Broadwayyyyy!! 😛😛 Btw, Avoncliff was once a request stop until 2010, so Eryl and Ruth are wrong. Since when was London Marylebone was just Marylebone? Also they were mispronounced. Ayy, Leicester! They didn't say Coleshill Parkway though.
For some reason, the first Cardiff-Pompey train had Avoncliff entered into the system as a request stop, it came up as so on online systems too but definitely a mistake, that’s been corrected now. Ruth and Eryl also used to just say ‘Euston’ too, maybe they have some of the London Underground Network recorded. There is a bit of a Mar-lebone and Marra-lebone split between announcers, Rodger says London Mar-lebone. Coleshill Parkway hadn’t been entered into the ATW database, it was just listed as something like ‘CLSHLLPWY’ on the dot matrix boards at the station. Guess it’s been missed as there only 1 train a week from Cardiff stopping there.
TrainspotterPhil HD The Platform 3/4 waiting rooms are good, or West end of Platform 1 on a Sunday when Platform 0 isn’t used as much. Platform 8 waiting area is quite good for Valley services.
Last year there was a GWR service from Cardiff to Worcester via Bristol as I used it to go to Cheltenham Spa but I've never seen a service to Edinburgh before, only as far as Nottingham
Tell me you're homesick without telling me you're homesick.
Love how he pronounces Newcastle 😎😎❤️ And that is some journey from Cardiff the Edinburgh bloody hell
8:34 how come it was going to Ealing Broadway but not London Paddington
Likely engineering works closing the last bit.
0:05 I’m assuming that is a CrossCountry service
Yup! :)

@@Parallel395 Ah that's a shame, btw, where's the best place to record the announcements here at Cardiff Central?

So, why are there services to Leictwester in Cardiff Central and why is Coleshill Parkway not right.
Weird a train going from Paignton to Cardiff
Hmm Glyn's (Eryl) with the Narborough is Ner-bro-ugh WEIRD
Why is GWR going to Marylebone?
It was due to engineering works
@@Parallel395 how did it get to Marylebone?
@@ymodnarafter Swindon, turn left at Didcot then through Oxford, Bicester Village, then onto to Chiltern Main Line
Train's do not go to Edinburgh and great Malvern from Cardiff Central

They ran when there were engineering works in the Filton area
WHY AM I WATCHING THIS?!??!?!
