- Fortunately for you, I went through all of the bullshit to make this incredibly easy for everybody else who didn’t find help on other pages. Shit is simple. Pay attention and thank me later.
Bro this helped me out so much. I’m in the military and I’m always gone so I take my ps5 everywhere. I’ve been slumped in the hotel room trying to figure it out….. all because I just wanted to click through the prompts and not read 😅 thank you for having the patients of a saint 🙌🏾

Just open your wifi connection screen like you’re trying to connect to the wifi on your phone and the PS5 will show up then type the password, to get your PS5 code and password just keep trying to connect to the wifi on your PS5 eventually the prompt will show up and tell you what you need

If you are at an IHG hotel, I have your solution. First, call or go to your hotel's help desk and ask for the cable maintenance number. They probably have a handy little card with the info you need. Next, obtain the Wi-Fi MAC address for your console by going to Settings > System > System Software > Console Information. Call the IT help desk number that your hotel gave and tell them you're trying to connect your PS5 to the network. They will ask for the MAC address and process the request. Done. It takes 5 minutes + however much time it takes you to sweep up the hair you just pulled out.

That’s crazy when I got to my hotel, I gave up and figured I brought my ps5 for nothing. But after 2 minutes into this video I was able to connect and authenticate the hotel wifi so it works now! Thanks a bunch!

I am in a hotel right now on 10/16/2023 and this worked like a charm. Used my phone to connect and enter hotel code. Didn’t even know it would do that
Dude you are the man so it's simple go to the frequency bands change it 2.4 which will allow you to authenticate the hotel wifi for your ps5 through your phone which will again ask you to put your room number and last name.

Step 1.
Connect to hotel Wi-Fi on PS5
Step 2. Open Wi-Fi on phone
Step 3. Connect to “PS5 name” on your phone !NOT THE HOTEL WI-FI!
Step 4. Enter the hotel Wi-Fi password.
Step 5. Done

We spent “All Day” trying to connect- this Ps5. The tech came up to our room and they couldn’t help us - told us to use our hotspot and after using up my hotspot, we looked up and here you are, an angel 👼.

If you guys still get an error while trying to connect to your ps5 thru your phone it should say “other” at the bottom of your available Wi-Fi connections just manually type in your ps5 name and password and it will connect

If anyone has trouble getting their phone to connect to the PS5-xxx connection on phone… then you will want to manually connect to it by selecting “other networks” and then manually typing in the PS5-xxx thing and then the password below.

Glad it helped! I’ve stayed in ton of hotels in my life, and can tell you that there is seems to always be a way to connect, so don’t think you can’t. Usually something extra you gotta do to make the console see the internet.
It keeps telling it cannot find this network!I typed in the Ps5 number and the password it has on there. Says unable to connect.
