Very niche honourable mention: Vampires Dawn 2.
It's a German RPG maker game that was released quite a long time ago and it's still one of my favourite games ... well to be fair, I played it several times when I was young and didn't touch it for like 20 years. But I still fondly remember it.

Great job Ashton, you must have pulled the short straw to get the video that had so many tricky pronunciations!

Oh man, 'Franko: The Crazy Revenge' was probably the last game I'd expect on this list. I've played it quite a lot as a young un' and while a beat em'up set in the gray, depressing post-communist Poland had a certain draw of familiarity I would not argue that it was a good game by any stretch of imagination!
Interesting trivia is that the fantasy-themed (spiritual) sequel 'Doman: Grzechy Ardana' is based on comic series by Andrzej O. Nowakowski. I guess you might say that it crawled so that Witcher could run.

Suggest the following game series for consideration on topic: S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Age of Pirates/Sea Dogs, Hard Truck (be careful, there are a few "subseries", made by different developers), Space Rangers, Metro, Men of War, Boiling Point/Xenus (includes Precursors game), Vangers (Perimeter series is in the same universe), Parkan.

Writer here! I did my best to provide a good variety, but I only know English and Japanese myself, so was still limited to games I could find decent information for. It just so happened that those countries provided the vast majority of games I found, so they ended up here twice.
