It's so depressing knowing this game never released on home consoles (PHYSICALLY). It looks SO fun. I love how they made the gameplay similar to Snow Bros./Bubble Bobble.

I have always picked the Ice zone as a starting location. The boss was hard, but later on the Mammoth could become a very nasty boss due to all the added obstacles. I always made sure to beat him first.

Yes, it's another Data East single screen platformer, this time the very colourful Joe and Mac Returns from 1994. Good scenery, lots of hidden items and some downright peculiar cutscenes. It's a good game, but I still prefer Tumblepop.

So...as many people said, this was the real sequel to Joe and Mac. But unfortunatley...the concept felt like a copy-and-paste 'Tumblepop' than a sequel, so it may dissapoint them. Also, it is VERY Hanna-Barbera-esque in tone. Especially when you hear the 2 laughing voice samples stored in game. Like most other arcade games, this one includes voice samples...and like most other, it can get annoying and repetitious. The voice samples from the original 'Joe and Mac' are better than this. These voice samples, while better than the original, comes as flat out annoying. Here are some of my favorite samples: 1:07 (Insert Coin) 4:52 ('Taladu?') 4:59 (A bang sample. Sounds like a balloon pop sample.) 5:02 (Laughing 1) Cut back to the review, the only good things are the music and story lines. As for the cutscenes? They are so perverted in nature! Why? This is a Data East game! What was Data East thinking anyway? Okay, so the game moves really slow. And that is about it. Especially the characters running. And to top it all off... Someone please turn the sample at 5:05 into a meme. Seriously, these voice samples are some of the most irritating things about this game that can annoy someone to death. Fun fact about this game is that this is one of the very few Data East games *not* to be owned by G-Mode.

What were they thinking when they created this? I sounds like a downgraded Idea considering the original game. The "Returns" has more to do with an UPgraded concept based on the first game, not this.
